  • 8BitDo answered the call for Steam Input and went beyond expectations.
I have waited a long time since the Horipad Steam Controller for any manufacturer to step up to the plate and add Steam Input as an option on a controller that has great build quality for 70$ it lacked Gyro Support, Rumble, it also did not have a good USB-C to USB-A controller that would disconnect at points but I still thought something like this needed to exist on the market and there was potential for someone else to do it correctly. 8BitDo has answered my call and went beyond expectations. I will go into the main points of why anyone should get it and also what they can improve for the future.1.Steam Input, which is the main selling point it is extremely helpful. I can remap the extra buttons on the back and on the shoulder buttons. Absolutely easy with D-Input enabled in the back of the controller. Also Steam will go into Big Picture Mode if you hold the Pixel Heart on the lower right when in D-Input mode. Both of these features do work on Windows.2.The ability to easily move around the Face Buttons easily with a puller without needing to buy another controller for the Xbox Face Buttons or to switch it back to Nintendo. Face Buttons are magnetic, and they are strong. You would need to throw a controller against the wall or really use your nails to open them. This went beyond my expectations.3. Can move from Xbox(S-X), D-Input(D) and Switch(S) very easily by sliding the toggle left or right and it is very straightforward and easy to understand when looking behind the controller including if you are in BT mode or 2.4GHZ if you are not on a Wired connection.4. TMR Joysticks do feel really premium and the Precision is on point when moving the Joystick around which is a natural evolution of the Hall Effect Joystick.5. Rumble feels like Full HD Rumble and not just HD Rumble6. D-Pad has such an excellent Tactile feeling more so than the Pro 2, and I like the tiny satisfying click noise it makes when I move the D-Pad.7. The Gyro Support is great and it works much better than the Pro 2 even though that was perfect already. I tried it on my Switch for Mario Odyssey and found no issues.Improvements for the future.1. Add a 8.5-10 ft USB-C to USB-A cable Braided Cable in the box. I understand the Pro 3 has so many features and has better build quality that they most likely had to cut costs somewhere, but it would have been nice to have this. Maybe this can be in the next generation of the Pro Controller Lineup.2. Add Steam Input to Wireless 2.4GHZ as well. Currently it only supports Bluetooth and Wired. A firmware update would help alleviate this for 8BitDo Controllers especially 8BitDo Pro 3 owners.3. Face Buttons would be a good idea to sell for this controller if anyone loses the default ones that came with the controller or wishes to customize their Face Buttons. If there was even potentially a way to get Sony Inspired Icons or even the SNES Inspired would be cool.4. I would like to also politely ask for Linux Support as it seems to only fully support Windows and SteamOS.Other than that. I do think this is a great controller and well worth the price. The pro’s outweighs most cons given as a whole. I still give it a 5* because it is hard to find fault with this controller and anything else can easily be supported or fixed in the future.
  • 5 Stars another hit for 8BitDo!
Been gaming since Atari 2600, so for a little over 40 years: I have every pro controller, elite controller etc etc. Let’s get down to the brass tax and compare it to my other controllers.Compared to the Dual Sense Edge; the 8BitDo Pro 3 is much lighter, just as responsive but a little smaller. Ergonomically it feels almost as comfortable. It might be the length or the angle of the dual sense that makes it slightly more comfortable in the hands.Compared to the Switch Pro Controller; the 8BitDo Pro 3 feels about the same weight, also feels more responsive than the pro controller. In terms of comfort they feel the same.Compared to my Xbox Elite 1 and 2 controllers; the 8BitDo Pro 3 feels way lighter, more comfortable and just as responsive. Definitely feels a lot smaller than the Elite controllers. I have big hands so if you never used this controller before, it will feel small compared to your Xbox and PlayStation controllers.Compared to the previous model the 8BitDo Pro 2; the Pro 3 feels a little heavier. Everything else feels the same.Things I really like about it; it’s feels more premium than the previous model. The interchangeable magnetic buttons and “fun sticks” are super cool and a nice addition. The charging dock and USB dongle are really nice. Feels like it could take a beating as well, I have over a hundred rigorous hours on the previous model and it still runs like new. Love the addition of the new hot buttons as well.Things I don’t like. No wake up, and unlike the previous model, this version doesn’t have battery swap. Although I hate using batteries I use rechargeable batteries. Connected to my Ally X running Bazzite OS, and had to update the driver and reboot the system. At first I thought there was something wrong with the controller as the right thumb stick was unresponsive in certain directions in certain games emulated: After a reboot and update worked perfectly fine on Steam OS. Lastly this controller is loud, it seems louder than the previous model when smashing buttons in Street Fighter and other games. It’s super clicky, which definitely gives me a nostalgic feeling but also can be annoying at times. As of right now it’s a toss up between this controller and the Dual Sense Edge, I like the ergonomics of the Edge better but I like the weight of the 8BitDo Pro 3. It could even be slightly heavier and I wouldn’t complain about it either. However if you are comparing value to price point, the 8BitDo Pro 3 wins hands down compared to every other controller I have. If you have to choose between a Switch Pro Controller and this, I would pick this every time even without the wake capability. As for connectivity, it connects super easy in windows, Steam OS, Switch etc. The dongle is better as far as latency for connectivity on the switch. All in all for the price point, yes this is good. $20 bucks more than the previous model but I get it with the addition of the dock and magnetic buttons etc: I love playing Mario Kart 8 on my Ally X using the “fun sticks”: Definitely does feel arcade and feels fun for me: Your mileage may very.Only issue I had was I preordered for day 1 release, and initially day 1 was around 10 days before I actually got the controller. Not a big deal but what was the point of the preorder… Still I would buy again and likely will purchase another for my son.
  • Great for Steam/SteamOS
I bought the controller specifically to use for Steam Input and it does not disappoint. Full customization in Steam/SteamOS.Some glaring problems for me…1. The face buttons are loud, annoyingly. I considered returning the controller just because of this but after considering the many good points of the controller, I decided to just mod it and it is quieter now. I do still wish it wasn’t this loud to begin with. Opening it was not easy though.2. The controller does not work with the 2.4 GHz dongle that it comes with in direct input mode or Steam Input mode. You have to use Bluetooth for that. And since I bought this specifically to use for Steam Input, gyro is important for me. Bluetooth just doesn’t cut it. It’s unstable, jittery and sometimes the gyro just sort of flies off on its own. Using it wired solves this entirely though but I would prefer to play with it wirelessly.3. This one is minor but it was a problem for me until I found how to “fix” it – the ABXY buttons are using the Nintendo layout, not Xbox, the controller by default even in D-input mode uses the Switch layout for the face buttons. I am aware you can swap the physical buttons but I am talking about the software side of things.Things that I like:1. The analog sticks are smooth and – in my experience, precise.2. Gyroscope feels accurate to me, I am used to the Steam Decks gyro and Dualsense Edge and I think they feel similar.3. D-pad, this is the best D-pad I have used on a controller so far. I only wish the facebuttons were this quiet too.4. Build quality is also great considering the price. Has some decent weight to it as well. Not too heavy or too light.

What Customers Say:

  • Lifelong Gamer, this is the best controller I’ve ever used.
Let’s get it out of the way, I’ve been playing video games for over 35 years and this takes the top spot for the best controller I’ve ever used. What makes it so good? It’s hard to quantify exactly one thing, because it really just does everything right. I don’t mean that as hyperbole, this controller is literally good at anything you’d ask it to do as a controller.Start with the overall feel and ergonomics. The last time I felt this comfortable and actually noticed how comfortable a controller felt and it wasn’t kind of just there, but you noticed how good it felt, you’d have to go back to the original XBox 360 controller design, which kind of just changed the game. While the G7 pro isn’t as revolutionary and a game changer as that, it sticks to the tried and true feel from that family of design and feel and just perfects it. Both from the actual shape of the controller, as well as the quality of the materials (such as the grips and plastic material), this is gaming design: perfected. But go beyond that and it’s not simply just the ergonomics and comfort of holding the controller, but also the satisfaction and sustained use of actually using the controller. I heard about the new trend with better sticks that didn’t wear down over time and get worse, with the Hall Effect using magnets more than physically touching elements, but the TMR technology on this takes it even further and these sticks are an absolute dream both for precision and for comfort. The same level of quality and design extends to the triggers and top buttons which are excellently designed for feel and accuracy. But heck, this even goes onto the buttons on the controller face. The sticks and triggers being designed better with the new tech, that’s obvious, but I really didn’t think I’d actually need the extra step of design for mechanical switches onto the buttons… but once you’ve used them and felt the difference, you understand it. It’s so satisfying compared to what I knew before for my controllers. If you stopped there, this might still be a 5 out of 5 controller if it was priced reasonably…. but it doesn’t just stop there. This controller is your controller, and Gamesir gives you every opportunity to let you execute that philosophy. The customization options on the G7 Pro are actually insane. From switching the triggers to full-motion to “button-style” (like the Playstation controller) actuation with a handy switch on the back, to extra buttons on the top of the controller and the back (which also feature handy toggles to turn off), to a removable face plate which I assume could be for customization but more obviously, to switch one of the the 3 available D-Pad options…. this is ridiculous how much value and personalization is packed into one product box.The customization extends to the PC software which is the best controller software I’ve ever used, period. You can fully remap the buttons as well as – and this is big – change the input and actuation for the triggers and joysticks. You can adjust how much the buttons react to the level of feedback, including customizable graphs so that it can ramp up or down with input however is best for you. And this include multiple quick-swappable profiles so you can make different custom inputs and styles for different games or feels. And the interface is fully easy to read and navigate, so nothing seems over your head with knowing what you’re doing. There’s likely a lot of less obvious things that don’t even come to mind because they’re so intuitive and automatic and well executed that you don’t even think about it. You could start with the connectivity, which never once lost connection in over 12 hours a day of extended use. And I think there was some weekend days pushing 16 or 18 hours and the battery never once died and had to be recharged. It did actually get close once, which I was able to tell from the indicator on the controller. But hey, Hades 2 will do that to you, it’s pretty easy to play that game allllll day.Another maybe under the radar thing is the included dock and ultra high quality long USB [braided] cable and wireless receiver. Everything feels and looks extremely quality-made. The dock is really extra nice and deserves attention. It fits the controller perfect and has LED indicators for when you initially put the controller there to charge, and sits nicely and attractively on your desk or wherever. You can even enable an option in the software to just automatically power on and connect the controller when you pick it up from the dock, since the dock has a compartment where you can connect the wireless receiver, so it’s kind of an all in one thing, from just one USB port.I actually can’t even believe after using it for the time that I have now (about 3 months) that the G7 Pro is priced how it is. I’ve seen some expensive controllers before, as well as some seemingly cheap first party ones from Microsoft and Sony which seem like an okay deal, but turn out not to be since they aren’t made to last and have to be replaced more often then you’d like. This is not only my favorite controller I’ve ever used (and have been playing since 1990, when I was 2), but the price and value is kind of like…. tooo good. It is an absolute buy. Even if a new controller isn’t a need, at this price, even if it’s just a want, you’ll see after you buy it why it’s money well spent.**Extra Icing on the cake: Amazing customer support**I actually had a very minor issue with my original controller where it still performed pretty much 100% correct, but one of the trigger modes only worked one way. It worked in button mode, but not in trigger mode.So I reached out to Gamesir customer support, got a pretty timely response email from them, and went back and forth with a couple other emails to hammer out details and provide evidence the controller wasn’t working as designed (even though it was still entirely usable and had only one minor issue)…. and eventually they ended up sending me a fully-new replacement controller at no cost to me at all.And I can’t confirm it would always be this way, but they told me I can do with the old one as I please and I do not have to return it to them at all. The person(s) I talked to was excellent as well. Always responding quickly and clearly and helping me with each step in the process. This is truly an amazing company and this is the best controller ever.
  • Worthy addition the the G7 line.
Edit: 5 stars after receiving new controller. Everything works as it should with no issue, right trigger stop feels solid. Top tier controller here.I have to preface why i’m not giving this controller 5 stars. The original controller I received was defective and had a right micro switch that would not read consistently after a day or so of use. I had to complete a return, and a month or so later I’ve decided to give it another go. It’s been rare for me to get multiple defective units back to back. So here we go.The controller feels great in hand. I’m able to use my custom faceplates from gamesir like I can on the G7he & se, and they fit perfectly with the only exception being the cross d-pad being the only one which fits in the faceplate. Which to me is perfectly fine. It looks wrong on the G7pro, but perfect on the SE/HE face plate. It’s also awesome for fighting games and platformers. Which is a important feature I feel in a pro controller. A lot of companies skimp here.Another feature Gamesir did not cheap out on is the software used to customize the controller. I’ve had over a dozen controllers in my hands the last few years, and this suite can not be beat. Easy to use and very user friendly. Can save 4 profiles and switch on the fly. Good stuff. The thumbsticks feel great, and have a very high resolution and bit rate. A little loose for my liking, but it’s comparable to the Gamesir Cyclone 2. Which is great because the sticks on these controllers are maybe the best at maintaining a zero dead zone without stick drift. I’ve purchased many, many controllers over the past few years. A lot of controllers can boast about zero dead zone’s with no drift. Many do not live up to that title without some kind of software algorithm.Wireless connectivity has been rock solid holding near 1000hz with little to no jitter on polling tests and no random disconnects. Wired is a bit quicker as to be expected. As long as the trigger stops hold up to prolonged use i will put this controller on a top tier list. However if you read around on reddit you see many of the same complaints. So it is a known issue. So far the 2nd control is holding up. If it’s still holding strong in a month or two I will upgrade my rating to 5 stars. As it is exceptional when all works as expected.I don’t have an xbox so I wasn’t able to give it a test there, but you have access to all the same features outside of gyro control. So I doubt anybody will be disappointed with it outside of this model needing to be wired for it to work on XBOX.

  • High end controller at a great price
This controller is legit. Feel off it is great, a solid weight so doesn’t feel cheap. Able to setup profiles through the nexus app. Charging dock is clean and looks great on the desk. Adjustable triggers so you can have full press to just eat click. Buttons don’t feel too soft. When compared to my wife elite Xbox controller I like the feel of this one better overall.I did have an issue where right trigger switch had a slight dead spot where it wouldn’t register, but contacted support and after their troubleshooting they just sent me a new one and no issues. So great support backing the product.
  • Comfortable and sturdy
Really comfortable to hold, the grip on the bottom feels just as good or even better than the Xbox elite series controllers. The only downside side is that you can’t use the Bluetooth for Xbox but it’s still good. I don’t know how to use the back peddle buttons but the controller is really sturdy and feels firm.
  • The Great Controller Rebellion: Finding Reliability After Two Fatal OEM Flaws
Review: Xbox One Series X S Custom Soft Touch ControllerThe decision to procure the Crazy Controllerz Custom Soft Touch Controller, priced at twice the cost of standard OEM units, was predicated entirely on the expectation of superior engineering and functional longevity. This acquisition follows a persistent pattern of systemic failure across two recent, consecutively purchased Xbox-branded wireless controllers, making a reliable alternative a necessity rather than a preference.Prior OEM Failures (The Rationale for Upgrade): My detailed troubleshooting of two prior controllers—”Controller A” (Amazon) and “Controller B” (Walmart)—revealed critical, distinct mechanical flaws in each.Controller A (Amazon): Ceased all functional interaction within one week. Manual diagnosis via the Renconco Game Controller Testing app on PC failed to detect any button input, despite the controller maintaining a lit connection status.Controller B (Walmart): Exhibited uncontrolled joystick drift in the lower right stick (near the X and A buttons), resulting in constant, uninitiated cursor movement. This critical flaw severely compromised competitive and precision-based gameplay, notably impacting tasks like item selection in Ball x Pit and reticle stability in Borderlands 4.Assessment of the Custom Unit: The initial tactile experience of the Custom Soft Touch Controller is immediately superior. The velvety, smooth finish and Cool Blue aesthetic deliver on the promised premium feel. While this soft-touch texture initially raises a minor concern regarding accidental slippage during intense use, the core functionality offers an immediate advantage: the thumbsticks are noticeably hardier and tighter, eliminating the excessive mechanical looseness present in the two failed OEM units. The pairing process to the Xbox Series X was instantaneous, and the controller readily accepts the standard rechargeable battery pack.Critical Flaw: Despite the apparent improvement in build quality, this unit is compromised by one significant mechanical defect: the “A” button exhibits an intermittent sticking issue, remaining depressed after actuation. This flaw is not only annoying but functionally lethal in gaming scenarios requiring rapid, repeated inputs, such as the widely implemented double-jump mechanic. Given the high price point and the rationale for purchase (i.e., achieving reliability), this mechanical oversight is suboptimal. Conclusion: The custom controller successfully addresses the critical issues of structural integrity and component tightness that plagued the mass-produced alternatives. However, the presence of a sticky “A” button, a basic quality control failure, prevents a top-tier recommendation. I will tolerate this defect temporarily, given the recent, high rate of OEM failures, but the sticking button requires a deduction in the final rating. Should the budget permit, a return to the Elite Xbox Controller or investigation into a more premium third-party brand may be warranted in the future.
  • Awesome controller.
Amazing controller. The clicking feedback is so satisfying and it works great. My only gripe is when you lock the triggers to make them short click style they are uncomfortable over time. Wish I could lock them half way down and have them as quick triggers in that position. But honestly dont care as I just use them full swing triggers like im used to anyway. Absolutely the best controller I ever owned ! I’m sure its just coincidence but it even feels like my stats went up gaming with this ????
  • Good so far!
So far so good. It works very well, has a clicky feel. I came from the elite 2 and am impressed but will see how it holds up.
  • Good controller. Terrible d-pad
I own a couple on controllers – 8bitdo, Dualsense, Cyclone 2, Razer Wolverine v3. The g7 pro has a lot to like. The stick tension is slightly lighter than I’m familiar with but after an adjustment period I got use to it and started to love the sticks. Very smooth and accurate.Shape, bumpers, triggers, buttons, sticks, weight are all good, BUT the d-pad…I had heard the d-pad wasn’t good before buying this controller, but didn’t think it would be an issue because I don’t play any d-pad central games and mostly use it for menu navigation, item swapping and utilities etc. But unfortunately the d-pad is so terrible that it has dragged down the whole experience of using the controller. It’s very rattly and insecure. I don’t mind it being light to actuate, but that combined with the unsteadiness using any of the d-pad options caused too many bad inputs. I tried my best to adjust to it but after too many unintentional diagonals, double clicks and other misinputs causing accidental weapon swaps, inventory pop-ups and wasted healing/utility items, I just find myself reaching for other controllers instead. It’s a shame because the rest of the controller is very solid but for me the d-pad made it unpleasant to use
  • Fantastic Roller
Such a great controller does everything right software functions buttons. A little on the smaller side but I’m find with that because it makes it easier to use the extra bumpers for FPS. Also works with an XB3 if you wanna go wireless on Xbox and not get the Wuchang version.
  • All GameSir Xbox controllers are terrible.
The D-Pad is very buggy, you can’t use the controller or any GameSir controller on a Cronus Zen, and there’s a buzzing/humming sound constantly with the 3.5mm audio jack.

  • Best Controller in it’s price range?
This controller is seriously one of the best you can get for the price. I’m super impressed with how well it’s made, especially since it costs about the same as regular first-party controllers from console makers these days. There are so many options on the built-in screen that I haven’t even had a chance to really dig into the analog stick profiles and all the more complex stuff, but I’m definitely glad it’s there. Plus, the version I have comes with a docking station and has this neat feature where the 2.4 GHz dongle plugs into a hidden USB in the storage compartment. That means you can power both the dock and the dongle at the same time, and it even disables the dongle when the controller is docked and enables it when it’s off. The analog sticks feel really good and responsive right out of the box, and the triggers are comfy. The shoulder buttons have a cool textured grip that seems to help keep your fingers in place, and the pseudo-mechanical face buttons feel nice and tactile, even though they travel a bit too far for my liking. The d-pad, unfortunately, is the worst aspect of the controller. Although it feels clicky and responsive, it doesn’t have a lot of motion and feels too stiff for retro or fighting games. The extra buttons on the back are awesome, both in what they can do and how well they work. You can set up fancy macros or just remap them easily. The top ones can be a bit hard to press comfortably because they’re too far in, but that’s a small thing compared to everything else. Seriously, if you want a pro controller feel without the pro controller price, you should totally grab one of these. It’s totally worth it.
  • Best Controller Ever Purchased
This is hands down the best controller I’ve ever used. As someone that plays various types of games on different systems, having a controller that can not only connect to them all wirelessly but display that on a built in screen is still amazing to me and I’ve been using it for awhile. Buttons still hold up quite nice, I’ve not had a single problematic issue with the screen, the software or anything. There’s even two different modes for the triggers in case you like ones with a shorter press or you like them to feel more trigger-like, something didn’t even realize before buying. Not only can you connect to different types of systems but you can do so seemlessly. You can customize the mapping of each button including how it behaves, meaning you can make any button turbo, long press, rapid press, etc. and you can also save a few presets so you don’t have to change them everytime you swap systems on the controller or on the system you are playing on, you can just swap the preset on the controller and you’re good to go. The charging stand is a huge bonus, takes no effort to set the controller on it to charge and it charges pretty quickly, and it alone is also well made; rubber grips on the bottom and it has a compartment underneath for the optional/backup connecting dongle in case your system/device doesn’t support Bluetooth I suppose, (I’ve not had to use it yet so I honestly almost forgot about it until writing this review lol), they even include a charging cable and if I recall correctly a boxplug to go with it, as well as a small screen protector! If you’re like me and you like to multi-game or swap between systems, this is a phenomenal controller for you to have. Battery life on it is great, it will last an extensive gaming session before needing to charge, roughly 5-6 hours, but you can always also charge it while playing, turn it off when pausing etc.The only con for me personally is that when the controller is fully charged on the stand it doesn’t turn off the screen, both the screen and the stand stay on and lit, so being energy conscious I have to either take the controller off the stand or better still unplug the stand. This next one isn’t a con for me personally but I can see it potentially being an issue for others which is the controller is quite smooth, so if your hands tend to sweat during intense gaming sessions you may want to consider the optional grip tapes that you can apply to it. They’re unfortunately not included but seems you can get them for just a few extra bucks, just figured I would note that. Moreover on a positive note, the controller DOES have a ‘sleep’ feature in which it saves the battery by turning itself off after it has not been used for about 5 minutes, and can easily be turned back on by simply hitting the home button. This feature is especially nice when used with the Nintendo Switch by the way, because when you turn the controller on while it is connected to it, it will automatically turn the Switch on and subsequently most smart TVs also, so there’s less need for me to use the actual TV remote.Further Feedback: As seen on another review, I think there is a little bit of potentially missed opportunity, wherein they maybe could have added some other features to the software of the screen, for example allow you to change the color and/or behavior of the LED light features on the sides, or allow you to personalize more by adding your own custom background, or extended/mirrored display of the game itself, or showing Statics like cooling temperatures and such. But in all fairness I’m just a consumer; I don’t know all the technical and logistical reasons for why they probably didn’t go ahead and do that to begin with, maybe all that will be in an upgraded version in the future, if so I will be buying a couple.TLDR; 5/5 Controller, the price is a bargain when you consider all things included and the quality of it, extremely functional; However although it is still aesthetically pleasing, it could be a 6/5 if it had a little more personalizing/customization options. I plan on buying a second one soon.
  • Get this if easy access to a turbo/button is not important to you.
Positives: Battery indicator (best feature in my opinion). Buttons have a nice feel to them when pressing. Programming buttons directly on the game pad is a nice feature. Customization of the joysticks in regards to dead space. Change the pressing distance of RT & LT. Four programmable buttons on the bottom. Charging dock with green light indicator when charged. You can also press/move anything on the game pad while charging to see the battery level.Negatives: There is no dedicated turbo button. Bluetooth doesn’t work on PC unless you want to use it as keyboard or perhaps a programming software so I just defaulted to using the dongle.Further details: If you are playing a resource collecting game such as Enshrouded having a dedicated turbo button where you can turn turbo on and off quicker is helpful. This game pad requires too many steps to turn turbo on and off so best to either leave it on or off all the time. You can program the bottom buttons to repeat a button a set number of times. For example program a bottom button to be like a press of X, X, X, X, X with only one press. They didn’t set up the turbo feature to work with the bottom buttons just the other buttons which I find a little odd. Not sure if it is a plus or minus; but the game pad is quit heavy. Unlike other game pads I have used which just blink when the battery is low or almost out this one actually shows you how much power the battery has in it and is dynamic showing the current status as it charges or as the power does down. I can work around the lack of a dedicated turbo button because of all the other features the game pad comes with.Ultimately would guy again.

  • TLDR Great controller, Great ergo even for large hands, great triggers, and best sticks ive had yet.
Fantastic controller, works great, the battery life could be a bit longer, but it seems to last about two long gaming sessions, so if you just plug it in after your done you wont ever have an issue, its just lazy people like me who forget to keep it charged who might. Sticks are super smooth and my favorites of any controller, and I love that they are adjustable tension, I can tweak them a bit on the fly for the game im playing. One thing I didnt like was how bright the LED on the front was, idk what caused controller manufacturers obsession with super bright LEDs on their controllers that blind and distract when your just trying to focus on the game, but thankfully unlike some other controllers in my collection you can dim this one in the flydigi software. Which is what I did, I ended up putting it on the second lowest brightness setting which for me is still perfect for telling if its on with ease, but wont blind and distract me annoyingly.Ergo is great on this controller, Its about the size of an Xbox one controller I think, So a bit smaller than the 360 controller I was replacing with this. Altho I would prefer a larger controller, I will say this controller still feels plenty comfortable in my hands, and if I wasnt so used to the 360 controller I probably wouldnt think twice about this one’s size. So if your coming from a Xb One or PS controller, im sure this will feel right at home in your hands. The texture and feel of the controller is great however, and I really love the aesthetics too. And I even found I really love the triggers on this controller, something that Im very picky on after so many years using the 360 style controllers. And these feel about perfect, there could be a slightly stronger spring for my taste in there, but overall I really cant complain I think the triggers are great. And I love I can use them as short stroke with a simple press of a switch and then swap back for full travel when I want, its perfect for action games or FPS when in the short stroke setting, and great for racing games in the full travel. So combined with the great ergonomics of the triggers it feels great. I will say the bumpers feel a bit odd in a claw grip or other more “specialized” grips, but if you do index finger on bumper and middle fingers on triggers it will feel perfect, and if you use your index for both it will probably feel fine to you too. Just a minor nit pick.Honestly the only thing id say I really “dont like” is the face buttons, they are clicky microswitches which is nice, but they have this like mushy spring to them which I dont like. Id honestly just prefer regular face buttons over this. Ironically the extra two buttons they added are much better, they are nice and firm microswitches with none of that mushiness of the ABXY buttons. So I dont know why they didnt just use those for all the buttons, maybe they thought they were too firm and people would prefer the lighter switches which I can understand but the buttons feel like I said, a bit mushy for microswitches so its just not super pleasant and satisfying like other controllers I have. That being said, I never had any issue with them actually in gameplay like I basically never noticed a difference while actually playing a game. Its just while playing with the controller on its own I notice it. So again a minor nit pick at worst.
  • Mad I waited so long to buy one
I was very skeptical that an off brand controller could be anywhere as good or better than the OEM xbox controller, especially for the same price ($55 as of Nov 25). Boy was I ever wrong. This thing destroys the cheap oem controller by leaps and bounds. I will say I don’t think this controller works with a console, as I’m using it on a PC.Build quality is great, no creaks or unappealing noises. Everything feels and looks premium.Buttons: Love having short stroke clicky mechanical face buttons. Bumpers feel a lot nicer than OEM and quiet. The two extra buttons below the face buttons are normal (not mechanical), but you don’t use them as much so it doesn’t matter. This goes for the start, select, home and function buttons as well.Triggers: Never had any adjustable triggers before but man are they nice. Very nice travel and smooth on the long travel mode (No annoying noise either). Very fast clicky buttons on the short travel setting.Thumbsticks: Adjustable tension is amazing and I don’t think I could go back. It’s so easy to dial in your resistance to whatever your heart desires. They also feel like they have more travel than an OEM controller as well. I feel like I have to make more exaggerated movements, but that also equals more fine tuned control. The rubber grips are great and work well.I installed the software and that was easy and very customizable as well.Really I don’t have anything to complain about with this controller. I would totally buy this over any other cheap/oem controller for sure.Flydigi has gained a loyal customer!
  • Slightly overpriced compared to other 3rd party options, but overall feature packed.
Comparing this to a few other options (8bitDo U2C and Easy SMX x10 and x15, XB1 Base and Series 1 Elite) I feel this controller has more + than -. This one is a little higher in cost on avg than some others, but you get adjustable tension on the sticks and mechanical buttons that some others lack that are less costly. It does not have adjustable/removable height sticks which some others do have. In terms of actual feel/use this one is more comfortable to me than 8BitDo’s offerings, it offers very comparable response and control (in that as an “average” gamer I can’t honestly tell you it’s better/worse than others). The software allows use of the extra buttons and on PC you can assign them to “mouse” functions which opens up some options that other controllers do not support. In terms of general “feel” this one doesn’t feel as premium as Elite products, but it doesn’t feel “cheap” either. I just started using this one and it feels like it’s pretty durable but I’ll update this review at some point in the future should I experience any mechanical failures over time (which I have had with the throttle springs on a few of the other options I’ve used).

  • 5/5 — Perfect budget controller for playing Pokémon Z-A on Switch 2
I mainly bought this controller to play Pokémon Z-A on my Switch 2, and it turned out way better than expected.✔ Smooth connection on Switch 2Paired instantly through Bluetooth and stayed stable the whole time. No lag, no random disconnects. It wakes the Switch 2 reliably as well.✔ Great for Pokémon Z-A gameplayMovement with the joystick is very smooth when running around Lumiose City, and the buttons respond quickly in battles. Navigating menus and swapping moves feels fast and accurate. The D-pad is also surprisingly good for selecting battle options.✔ Turbo & Macro actually usefulTurbo makes grinding a lot easier, and macro works well for repeated actions. If you’re farming items or leveling Pokémon, this helps a lot.✔ RGB lighting is a cool bonusThe RGB ring around the sticks looks great in low-light. Not distracting, and you can turn it off if you want.✔ Comfortable to holdLightweight but solid. I played over an hour of Z-A straight and didn’t feel hand fatigue.✔ Battery lifeBattery drains very slowly. After several long sessions it still had plenty of power left.✘ Small downsideThe plastic doesn’t feel as premium as the official Nintendo Pro Controller, but the performance for the price is honestly impressive.Overall:If you play Pokémon Z-A on Switch 2 and want a reliable controller with Turbo, Macro, gyro, and RGB—this is one of the best affordable options. Works perfectly for both battles and exploring the city.
  • Low cost betrays high value
I’m VERY impressed with these controllers. I’m 43 and I’ve been gaming since the first Nintendo came out (PC gaming since 1997). These gamepads are really darn goodFirst off, it’s $25 for a pair. You get two gamepads, two short USB C charging cables, and two wireless dongles. They have programmable rear buttons, semi-controllable RGB, and both Hall Effect thumb sticks AND triggers. They have some of the features of controllers that run into the hundreds of dollarsThey perform very well both wired and wireless, although I don’t know if you can connect more than one pad to a single dongle. There is no audio jack, and the thumb sticks aren’t adaptive, but beyond that they aren’t lacking anywhereBear in mind these aren’t “pro” controllers, but they aren’t “cheap,” either. They get the job done, they do it very well, and they do it in style!! I would highly recommend these as gifts, stocking stuffers, backups, or even primaries
  • Versatility and precision in your hands!
This gamer controller surprised me for its compatibility with multiple platforms: Switch 2, Switch 1, PC, iOS and Android. The connection with the Switch 2 is as smooth as with the previous model, without complications. Joysticks and triggers with Hall effect sensors offer incredible precision, ideal for games that require fine movements or exact aiming. It feels like a leap in quality compared to other controls I’ve tried. The adjustable vibration in four levels (0%-30%-75%-100%) allows you to adapt the intensity according to the type of game, and the activation zones are well balanced for total immersion. In addition, the two programmable rear buttons are a great success: they allow you to configure key functions to improve comfort and performance in competitive games. It’s a detail that makes the difference. The battery offers up to 20 hours of continuous play, which allows me to enjoy without worrying about recharging. It is perfect for game marathons or to take on trips. In summary, this control combines advanced technology, ergonomics and performance. I totally recommend it to those looking for a superior gamer experience.
  • Nice wireless controllers
These wireless controllers are a great value for the price. They connect quickly to my Switch and PC, and the Bluetooth connection stays stable during gameplay. The vibration feels strong, and the 6-axis gyro works smoothly in motion-control games. The turbo and macro features are easy to set up and make certain games more fun. The buttons and joysticks feel responsive, and the grips are comfortable for long sessions. Battery life is solid, usually lasting around 20 hours. The build quality feels a bit lightweight compared to official controllers, but overall, this 2-pack is perfect for casual gaming or as reliable backup controllers.
  • Great pair of joysticks with extra features
I really like these controllers. The price is great. They have a wonderful feature set including macros and different colors and Auto shooting….The one failing it has which I noticed is is that the a and b and x and y are switched but I had been playing with it for about a day before I even noticed because I’m so used to where those buttons are….. Assume this is why the price point might be as low as they are ???? that’s okay with me!
  • Really Solid for the Price
I picked up this wireless controller and I’m seriously impressed, especially when you consider how super cheap it is compared to big-brand controllers. It works great with my Switch and PC, which is fantastic. The build feels solid, the buttons respond well, and it even includes nice extras like programmable back buttons and gyro support. For something this affordable, the quality and performance are way better than expected. It might not have the premium feel of a top-tier controller, but for the price, it’s an incredible deal. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a reliable, budget-friendly option.
  • Excellent controller. It’s like a simpler Xbox Pro controller.
This controller is great. It feels like the Xbox controller. The only thing to note is that the triggers and dpad are a little floaty/mushy feeling. But they are responsive, just a feel that varies from controller to controller. They are on the higher travel / less clicky side. Overall I love this controller and the value is incredible. It immediately paid to my Switch with no issues, and I won my first round of Fortnite using it. Comfortable, responsive, cool looking. Approved!

  • a controller that is totally worth its price
The controller has very good quality; the buttons are responsive and, although it will be necessary to observe how they behave over time, at the moment it works correctly. My only problem occurred when trying to clean the screen without having put on the included protector, which scratched it with extreme ease. Therefore, it is important to put on the protector, since the screen is very delicate.Regarding its design, the similarity with an Xbox makes it comfortable, and the vibration response is strong enough to be felt. The screen quality is poor, but it does not affect its use, so it does not represent a drawback. The controller offers numerous configuration options to customize the button layout and allows changing between different preset modes. You can play via Bluetooth and the controller includes a base and cable, which I like.In addition, the package comes with a pair of spare joysticks; although not essential, it is useful. The packaging is solid, so the controller arrived in excellent condition.
  • Quality beyond any console controller
I was really hesitant on this controller as it has become viral on social media and its been offered on places like temu. So my original take is that it was probably just a bad product fueled by influencers and memes to make a buck. Now that I got one and have been using it daily I can tell you I was completely wrong. This is probably one (if not the best) controller I’ve owned.Note that I come from using only console controllers as I made a switch to PC recently from (ps) and the quality is beyond these crappy console controllers, which now I see are the real scam. You can use it wireless or wired, comes with a charging station with a dongle compartment, has a lot of options, nice rgb lights and the screen and options are easy to setup. The front buttons have a click feel which is new to me, but I actually like it.The fact that this controller has hall effect sticks is really the cherry on top.If you’re tired of dealing with drift and console controllers, this is definitely a great upgrade worth your money.
  • ManbaOne vs Gulikit
Got tired of joystick drift so did some digging and found out about hall sticks. My first choice was the Gulikit MKIII Max (I forget the exact name, the newest one). It had excellent build quality, but it was STUPIDLY difficult to get working right. Everything you ever learned about messing with finicky drivers, be prepared to put it to use. Sent an email to get help; it took them a week to respond, and they just asked questions I had already provided the answers to.Traded it in because heck no on all that. Got this and just bam, flawless out of the box. And it’s cheaper, go figure. As for the rest – the sticks are incredible. The triggers are good, love the different options they had but wish they clicked at the end like the latest DualShocks. The buttons were disappointing at first, they’re closer to MadCatz than Microsoft, but I like them more the more I use them. They aren’t super mushy or anything, I just prefer a harder type of clickiness. The screen is cool, and is a million times better than programming via dozens of different “hold home for four seconds while pressing back three and a half times and saying a prayer to the button you want to make turbo” kinda crap like the Gulikit. If the sticks hold up as well as it looks like they will then I’ll be more than happy with it. Not the perfect controller, but by far the best I’ve found in this price range.
  • A really nice controller with a lot of functionality
I game on a PC, and while my preference is usually keyboard and mouse, there are some games that were designed around a console controller so I like to have a good controller around for those type of games. I found this controller while digging through product reviews and it sounded like a capable, well made product with some interesting features. I’ve been using it for a few days now, and I must say it works really well. One of the qualities that I find really interesting is that this controller is capable of behaving and connecting as an Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or generic controller. This allows it to work on all of those platforms, but also allows you to connect it to your PC as any of those controller types.I’ve discovered that I can connect it to my PC via three different connection methods.Wired method: When you plug it in via a USB C cable you can toggle it between X-input(behaves as an Xbox controller) or D-input(behaves as a PlayStation controller) by pressing and holding – and + for 5 seconds.Wireless dongle method: When connected in PC mode via the included wireless dongle, you can toggle the controller to behave as an Xbox controller, a Switch controller, or a generic controller by pressing and holding – and + for 5 seconds. The controller rumbles when it switches between these modes but there isn’t any indication on the controller which mode it is in, but you can see what it shows up as through Steam.Wireless via direct Bluetooth connection. When set as a Switch, Android, or IOS controller, you can pair it to your PC directly via Bluetooth. In Switch mode it shows up on your PC as a Switch controller, in Android it shows up as a Generic controller, and in IOS mode it shows up as an Xbox controller.Running the controller in each of the modes (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or Generic) effects how some of the buttons behave. In Xbox mode, the home button behaves as the Xbox logo button, but in Generic mode it launches your default web browser. Switch mode will re-arrange the order of your A, B, X, and Y buttons (which can be remapped manually if you want), and the capture button will take screenshots, and you also have access to the controllers gyroscope sensors(which you can then map to thumbstick controls in Steam or something like that if you want). The built in full color display looks nice, and the controller’s menu system is easy to navigate and use. It would have been nice if the display had some kind of screensaver function to take better advantage of the displays esthetic qualities. It seems like that was a missed opportunity. The magnetic faceplate isn’t for sale in different color options like the product page implies that it is. I verified this by emailing the company and asking them. They told me that alternate faceplates aren’t currently available and said that they may be available in the future. They said “may” not “will” so hard to say if these faceplates will ever be available for purchase.I would have liked the buttons to have been backlit, but they aren’t.Overall though, it is a very nice and capable controller and I have been enjoying it and would recommend it to others looking for a nice game controller.

  • The Bloodline is Satisfied by This Very Reliable Controller
The media could not be loaded. Overall this is a great controller that includes a lot of functionality within it. First and foremost, it has a dock, whilst this might be a turn off for some people, I personally love it! It gives me a spot and space to have the controller rather losing it somewhere in a desk. Secondly, that dock acts as the receiver for the controller allowing for even faster input time compared to bluetooth. This also makes connectivity seamless and fast, the second I pick the controller off the dock it just connects. The next thing I really like about this is the build quality, I had the pro 2 and its just a level above it. It has a more tactile feeling d-pad that I love, the controller feels more hefty, the toggle for the trigger, and the extra buttons are all just a plus. Finally, this controller is very customizable. My bloodline comes from a long lineage of Playstation players so we are all just used to the X, O, Triangle, Square button layout. With this controller I am able to swap the faces on the buttons to match that exact layout and that’s just amazing. It also has the ability to swap out different joysticks which would likely help a FPS player who needs a more precise joystick.
  • It’s perfect. Just what I wanted.
Have wanted a controller with the dpad in the main position (PS layout) for a while that has a good dpad. I can live with either position for the sticks, it’s just the dpad I care more about the position of. Others are either really expensive swappable ones or just don’t have a great dpad or bad latency (Tarantula pro). This is finally just what I wanted. I love this controller.I bought a wired pro 2 g classic before and the dpad just sucked. Maybe it was a bad one. But I haven’t bought another 8bitdo controller since because I didn’t trust their ability to make a good dpad. But this one is perfect. Easy to press down but still won’t actuate any direction that you don’t want. Perfectly precise and you can feel every direction that gets pressed, and a very quiet click. It still does the thing of being able to press down the middle of the dpad and press down all of the directions at once but it doesn’t actually matter in this case.Gave it a try for platforming (Celeste) and fighting (Mortal Kombat 1). Flawless in both cases.Good amount of extra buttons, triggers swappable to analog or digital clicks, swappable face buttons that are very secure. Joysticks center perfectly and have very low deadzone (could use a bit more tension though). Unable to detect any latency from just looking at screen and pressing buttons (both from 2.4ghz on pc and bluetooth on switch 2). This is basically my dream controller. This is now the controller I will use for absolutely everything.Yes, the face buttons are clackety and kinda loud. I don’t care, you might. And it would be nice if it woke the switch 2 but it’s not enough to make me feel negatively in any way.
  • Awesome controller.
What a great controller. The fit and feel in the hand is perfect for me. Big fan of the GameCube purple. It was super easy to connect to the PC. Updated the firmware out of the box and off I went. It looks awesome on the dock. One thing they don’t show you on the listing is the dock glowing when charging. And then being able to pick it up for instant connectivity is just awesome.Lots of reprogrammable buttons like back buttons, extra bumpers, etc. The magnetic face buttons are stylish and feel great. Not too clicky for me.The sticks feel amazing. As someone who enjoys racing games, the out of the box deadzones and sensitivity is just perfect.Extremely impressed with this controller, easy to recommend for PC gaming.
  • The most comfy controller I have ever used!
I had an old 8bitdo sn30 pro+ I bought in 2020, and it was nice, functional, and worked well. It’s taken a beating from use, three moves, a toddler, and a cat over the years, and I was impressed with how it held up, so I decided to indulge in 8bitdo’s newest iteration; especially because the button swapping seemed like a neat feature for my monkey brain who switches between Switch/PC all the time.I’m not a controller expert, I don’t know much about them, but IMO, everything “feels” right. Buttons, d-pad, triggers in both analogue and digital mode all respond in a way that “feels’ satisfactory. It’s probably the most comfortable controller I’ve ever held. It weighs what I feel is right, and the texture feels nice in my hands. For the price, it better feel like a premium controller, and it does! Many d-pads these days feel light, or move around, or you’re never sure when you’ve pressed in, but the Pro 3 feels right. I don’t use d-pad heavy input games, but I am generally satisfied with the ~feel~. Similarly, the L4 and R4 buttons have gotten flack for being difficult to press, but I find they are quite comfortable and easy– it really seems like the controller is meant for specific hands, and fortunately for me, my hands fit!I did have a problem on the very first day, the Ultimate Software used to update firmware would not properly update, and creating a profile ended up screwing up Steam button mapping; but a day later, the software was updated and all my issues were gone. You are always at the whim of the software/firmware, so unless you really need something specific, only update if you know why you’re updating your controller!

  • Great Controller for Switch
I buy this controller for my Nintendo Switch and it work very good. The connection is fast and easy with bluetooth, no problem at all. Battery last long time and button feel strong when I play. I like the design, look same like original but cheaper price. Very happy with my purchase, I will buy again if I need more.
  • “Great controllers for the price!”
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had these controllers for a little over a week now and I have to say, they’ve exceeded my expectations. Connecting to the Switch was fast and completely hassle-free — literally just a few seconds and they were ready to go. The design feels comfortable in the hands, the buttons respond instantly, and the vibration and turbo functions really add to the gameplay. What I love the most is how smooth they handle in games like Mario Kart. The steering feels more accurate and easier to control compared to my old controllers, which makes the whole experience more fun. Both adults and kids in my family enjoy using them, and it’s been great for multiplayer nights.Getting a 2-pack at this price is a fantastic deal. The fact that they also work with Switch Lite, OLED, PC, Android, and iOS makes them even more versatile. Overall, I’m super happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend these to anyone looking for reliable and affordable Switch controllers.
  • Great value and performance
I am absolutely thrilled with this wireless controller! It connected instantly to my PC and my Android. The ergonomic shape and non-slip grip are top-notch. The performance is excellent. I also love the TURBO function. The battery life is also great and I rarely have to worry about charging. This controller is a major upgrade for all players
  • Great controller for the price
This controller is awesome! It feels super comfortable to hold and the buttons are nice and clicky. I love the little color accents on the joysticks. It connects easily to my Switch and works perfectly with no lag. Definitely a great controller for the price!
  • BEST Controller COMBO on Amazon!
The media could not be loaded. The material is sturdy and the controller has some weight to it, so that it doesn’t feel cheap.
They have textured grips to make sure you it doesn’t slip out of your hands.
They are little bit undersized, but not to the point where an adult will feel uncomfortable holding it.The four main buttons are large enough to not leave indentation marks on your fingers.
We use them for a Nintendo Switch console and the pairing is easy by simply holding the “H” button in the middle of the controller. After a few seconds you should see the lights on the controller flash and it will lock into whatever player the controller was assigned. 1 light for 1st player, 2 lights for 2nd player, all the way up to 4 lights for 4th player. The buttons are all easy to press and feel good to the touch. So far all the buttons and triggers do what they are supposed to do with no lag and we have not have any stick drift after about a month of use.
The battery life has been great and last several days without needing to charge.
Charging them is quick and use a standard USB C port. LIKES:Great Value for a 2-packExcellent Quality, Good WeightGreat Battery LifeDISLIKESCan be slightly UndersizedSometimes pairing takes longer than other bluetooth controllers
  • Good pair of Controllers
Great pair of controllers for the price and easily paired to the Switch Oled i bought my wife. Very light and comfortable in the hand and feels at home for any gamer weather Xbox or PlayStation. Cool color combo to go with the aesthetic of Nintendo products as of late. Would recommend for anyone looking for a cheap pair of spare controllers. Only downside is in some games you need to adjust the stick settings and since they are so light they feel easily broken if dropped. Still would recommend the controllers for the price though.
  • great budget-friendly controllers
I was a little skeptical at first since these are much cheaper than the official Switch controllers, but they’ve really surprised me. The setup was quick, and the buttons feel responsive without any noticeable lag. The rumble and motion controls work well enough for most games, and they’ve been holding up fine after hours of play. They’re lightweight and comfortable to hold, even for longer sessions, and the battery life is solid. I also like that you get two controllers for the price, which makes it perfect for multiplayer. Not quite as premium as Nintendo’s, but for the cost, these are an excellent deal.
