Absolutely love how sturdy and fun this product. The off and on button on the back makes it battery efficient and easy so that my 1.5 year old can turn it on and off when they are playing with it. I love the vibrant puzzle pieces and how they make the realistic sounds of each piece, so kids learn what emergency vehicle sounds like. Melissa and Doug toys are the perfect size for young kids to move around in their own and who are learning ins and outs of puzzles

I bought this for my friend’s two year old grandson. Never having had a boy, I wasn’t sure what to get, but found this by putting Gifts for two year old boys” in the Amazon search box. I just received a text from my friend saying that she constantly has to play this puzzle with her grandson because he loves it so much! So it was definitely the right choice for him! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a gift for a two year old boy.

I did not know this when I bought these puzzles for gifts for grandkids for Christmas gifts but the puzzle also makes the farm animal sounds while putting the puzzle together and is great for learning and fun…

I really love the idea of this puzzle… i.e. the activation of the animal’s sound when the corresponding animal puzzle piece is placed. And, I have always loved Melissa + Doug toys…However, I bought 3 different M+D “sound puzzles” similar to this one. My complaint is that any one of the animal sounds in this puzzle is activated by any one of the puzzle pieces. (You can place any puzzle piece “near” or “over” the center of any one of the spaces, and the sound of the animal associated with the space is activated. In other words you do not need to fit the correct puzzle piece “into” the correct space to activate the animal sound of that animal… I think it could be very confusing for a child.My granddaughter kept 1 puzzle piece in her hand, and continued to wave it over each one of the spaces, and the sound was activated.

Absolutely perfect for puzzle lovers! I bought this because I have a toddler and, after starting a puzzle, I got distracted — my daughter was kind enough to “reassemble” it for me. ???? I needed something that would let me pause my puzzle during “me time” and safely move it out of the way, and this board is amazing for that. The rotating feature, drawers, and cover make it super easy to protect your progress without having to start over.The only feedback I’d give is that the wood glue finish could be a bit cleaner, and I wish it came with two protectors — one as the base and one as the top cover. That would make it easier for people who want to lift, glue, and frame their finished puzzles. Still, overall, I totally recommend it. Great quality, works exactly as described, and solved my puzzle-with-a-toddler problem!

Thoroughly enjoy the board as I can take my time with a puzzle and slip it under my couch when I want to use the dining table. I love the rotating aspect as the light changes in the day, I can move to the other side of the table.My Mom has a board that has one flat surface that you can slide the puzzle pieces into the box after completing the puzzle. This board has a 1/4 inch raised frame all around so you need to pick the puzzle pieces up after completing the puzzle.

Received this board yesterday and couldn’t wait to use. Started a puzzle right away. I got the medium with 6 drawers. There are two versions 4&6 drawers. I believe both same price but one is newer version. This is well made and nothing flimsy about it. I like to do smaller puzzles no more than 500 pieces as easier on my eyes. I like the lazy Susan and just put board on it without securing to board. It stayed in place no problem. Now I can just pick up board and store under bed when not needed by just sliding under. I put this board on top of an adjustable table so I can lower the legs to work on. Board overhangs this table by about 5 inches all around but holds up great and I don’t worry about it tipping. It has a raised frame all around it so pieces don’t fall off. Plenty of room also to hold puzzle box. I use both covers to hold pieces as well as board. The whole family has commented how much they like the table. My 6 yr old grandson says he loves it. As I was writing this review he finished the puzzle on me. Great way to spend family time. I am so glad I bought this board. Now time to find another puzzle to do.

I have mixed thoughts about this puzzle board. If you’ve got plenty of table space and a comfortable place to store it when not in use, then you may love it. It’s very well made and the lazy susan is a great. Otherwise, even the small board may take up most of a dining area table, plus it requires extra space to rotate the board, a place for the cover while you’re working on a puzzle, room to pull out the drawers if you plan to use them, a place on the board or nearby for your puzzle box or the accompanying poster, and maybe room for a cup of tea too. I have a small place and bought the small board. It stays on my dining area table unless I have company over – and then I set it temporarily on my night table, which is otherwise reserved for decorative pillows at night time. As for the cover, I’ve been rolling it up with a rubber band, but it’s cracking as a result – shown in photos. The material it’s made of is a nice light-weight kind of plastic – just not intended for being rolled on a routine basis. I’m hoping to find a piece of thin clear flexible PVC to replace the cover, otherwise I’ll need to start setting it on my bed when I’m working on puzzles. About the board size: The small is 22 x 30 and has been good for the puzzles I currently have – several with 750 pieces and one with 1000 smaller pieces, however there’s a White Mountain 1000 piece puzzle I have my eyes on, and it’s 24 x 30. I could easily do that puzzle on my dining area table, but I’ll have to figure out where to keep the board in the meantime. For reference, my table is ~42 x 47 inches. Another 6″ or so in width would be very helpful (adding to the 47″). It’s workable though, without using the drawers. I use the extra side space instead for the puzzle box, poster, eye glasses, plastic cups for sorting, and my cup of tea. Rotating the puzzle is tight, so I have to pay attention to make sure I don’t knock anything over. I used to use a bulletin board for puzzling. I think it was around 2’x3′. That worked just as well on the same table, was lighter in weight, and easier to store because there were no sliding drawers. It didn’t have the benefit of a cover and the lazy susan though. In summary, it’s a nice board with nice added features – just consider your space to see if it’s a good fit for your home.

This is a very practical product for us. We have cats, so the ability to hide the unused puzzle pieces in the drawers and protect the partially-completed puzzle with a sturdy, semi-transparent plastic cover is ideal. Our cats have tested the plastic cover and it is cat-proof ????Some say the product is too heavy, however I had no difficulty carrying ours upstairs between puzzling sessions and I’m elderly.We did have a quality issue with the Lazy Susan, and I’m pleased to report that the email address provided in the package is monitored. I received a same-day response advising that they’d replace the whole product, and true to their word, the replacement arrived today.No company is 100% perfect, but if they handle mistakes quickly and with no quibbling, that more than makes up for any minor quality issue. 1500 size for 1000 piece puzzles. We almost sent the package back without even opening it, it looked so massive. But, the shipping label said, 1500. So happy we kept it! First photo is without the plastic cover-for an approximate 20x 27 inch (50x 70 cm)2nd photo with plastic cover very necessary if you have a pet or pets. Ours fits under our large coffee table perfectly. It’s not easy for an old woman like me to put it away under the table, but I can do it. I thought it was a bit pricey but in retrospect, it’s worth every penny!! Much better than the roll up Matt type! We don’t use the drawers or the lazy Susan, but those are options. Would make a nice gift with a beautiful puzzle.

I just recently got into puzzles. I came across this one looking for a holiday puzzle for Christmas time and thought the foil parts looked so cute. This puzzle feels like great quality, the pieces are thick, and connect tightly. They are so tight when taking it apart it was a little tough to not mess up any pieces. I finished this is about 2-3 hours, it was surprisingly easy despite so many different colors. The hardest part was the big tree in the bottom left!

This puzzle is super popular on Chinese social media. It’s said you will have a happy winter if you finish the puzzle during winter time. I have a nice time piecing this together with my boyfriend. I got a frame so he can put it up in his room. The puzzle came in nice quality and had no missing pieces. The shiny gold foil are absolutely beautiful. 500 pieces weren’t hard, it can be a tiny bit stressing when you’re piecing together the Christmas tree though. But the end result is definitely worth it.PS: we signed our name and date on the last puzzle piece. 🙂

So enjoyed this challenge. You will 100% believe pieces are not right and never fit, then pow, they fit. This puzzle does have letters on back. I am a believer that this is a cheat. But… if you need it they are there. If you plan on knocking this one out in an evening you might want to change your plans. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful puzzle that is worthy of preserving and hanging. There is the option to split it up into 6 sections using the “cheat” on the back of the pieces due to how challenging it can be. The pieces are well made and fit together very nicely. One star removed because I was missing one piece which hurt the experience of completing the puzzle. I very much wanted to hang this so I contacted the seller and they promptly replaced the puzzle! The seller responded immediately and worked to resolve the issue quickly. I am so thankful for that! My puzzle is now complete.

Learning Resources never disappoints in the durability of their items. My students love using this to activity and they don’t even realize they are learning, they just know they are having fun! The box is great for storage. The puzzles are just perfect as far as fun and difficulty go. These challenge the five year olds in my class as well. Great pricing too!

I Love This Puzzle ….now!First looking at 1000 pieces that were so similar to each other was a bit overwhelming but when I realized there was a letter ABC or D on the back of each piece and I could divide them by letters and put a quarter of the puzzle together completely and then go onto the next quarter it made it a family puzzle so fun… and faster.

What can I say, this puzzle is a challenge but it’s really amazing when it’s done. It’s not for the feint at heart and you have to be patient when you are assembling it. A fun way to spend several days!

I bought the puzzle because my mother collected owls… Thought it would be fun, and it was. After doing a few different puzzles, I realize:1) that these puzzle pieces fit nicely and snap together perfectly.2) Since the puzzle has the sections (A, B, C and D) designated on the back of each piece, one can work it as one big puzzle or 4 smaller puzzles (by separating out the pieces by letter).I worked it as 4 smaller puzzles and I really enjoyed putting it together.I can also come back and work it as one big puzzle and have more of a challenge.It also is a vibrant and beautiful picture when completed.

This is a quality puzzle. It is quite difficult, but the back has section letters that definitely help determine which section of the puzzle a piece belongs in, i.e. a, b, c, or d. It is very cute. You will spend lots of times looking at owl eyes.

I can’t wait to gift this. The colors are so vivid and it’s really pretty.

This puzzle comes with lettering on the back, but you really don’t need it. It’s a super cute one to do. All the green does not make it more challenging, at least not for me. I enjoyed putting this together. Would order from this brand again. No missing pieces, fit is good, and the challenge isn’t overly difficult. It took me a couple of hours to do.

All of the pieces fit together well, and the picture doesn’t separate from the puzzle piece if you need to move it. The letters on the back allow you to work on sections of the puzzle without having all if the pieces out. The final picture is very nice, and, all of the pieces were included. Very durable and nice puzzle. It is made of thicker cardboard. The colors are very vibrant and glossy so it will last a long time. The map is big when put together and hours of fun for kids to practice on and learn the state locations as well as their capitals. This is a puzzle all kids should have growing up because it helps them learn the 50 states, their locations and curates interest in the states geography and a desire to explore these states in the future.

When the map arrives with all the actual pieces this is a GREAT learning tool for “kids of all ages.” Excellent overall sturdy pieces and graphics are most helpful in learning stereotypes for each state and of course, capitals…First order arrived with 12 missing pieces. YIKES! But Amazon was wonderful about getting the replacement the very next day! Also completed map is a very good overall size for thorough study and review of where the states are sited in the greater scheme of the whole country…GREAT learning tool.

This states puzzle I bought for my 8 year old for school. The puzzle was slightly difficult in some areas due to the fitting of the states but it was for good reason. Great price for the quality of the puzzle love that it has pictures of what each state is known for it really gets your kids thinking. Lots of detail and holds up great!

This is a great puzzle with colorful pieces and the capital city for each state included. HOWEVER, the pieces do not snap together like a typical puzzle so even the adult helpers found it difficult to maintain the positioning of the unusually shaped pieces (our states come in quite a variety of shapes and sizes!) I imagine there is a challenge for the designers as the shapes of the puzzle pieces are predetermined by the shape of the actual state and are amenable to precut designed shapes. My 4-year-old granddaughter was very engaged in the process but towards the end was tiring of having to keep repositioning things in order to find the correct location for the next piece.

Extremely helpful as first puzzles for a child.

Its a cute and wonderful idea, as for the parents, there’s no good way to store them and id suggest drawing on the backside of each piece which picture the puzzle goes with. And I probably wouldnt need to make that review if it wasnt for the misguided target age. I got them for my almost 2 yr old and I can see they probably wont serve their true purpose for a little while.

Not what I expected. A little small and some had odd shaped pieces that didn’t seat themselves in a specific spot. Do them 1 at a time so you don’t mix up what pieces go to what puzzle. Label them on the underside in case they get mixed up. A bit difficult for a 21 month old.
