Theses are great! This is our second set for the grands! We enjoy building with them also & we have another set to build on (XL tiles for the bottom and some long rectangle s!)Amazon shipping – please don’t put the label directly on a box designed to store them! It has a handle & is great to keep them in but the shipping label directly on a glossy cardboard box & it’s not coming off without destroying the box or leaving a messy white torn label. My daughter absolutely LOVES these tiles! Shes 2 years old and these will keep her busy for a long time. And it’s not one of those toys that she plays with one time and doesn’t go back to. She will grab these tiles to play with almost every single day. And my husband and I love building towers with her too. We originally bought the smaller pack and had to buy this 100 piece set to give her for Christmas because she loves them so much. When she first got these it was a little hard for her to separate the tiles but now she separates them all by herself and builds all kinds of things all by herself. This is such a great toy to expand your child’s creativity and imagination. (And my husband and I love playing with them too!)

It is much smaller than it looks in the pictures — it’s basically the size of my hand. The materials feel cheap, and after just 2–3 days of gentle use, several of the drawers stopped opening properly. It’s cute, but not as impressive or durable as expected.

There is a wood taster spoon, a plastic bowl, and a scoop with a wood handle and plastic scooper. The two other brand sets I bought were all plastic.-Quality: This is the main toy that kids play with at our local library that we’ve been visiting for 3 years, and it has held up. I feel like that’s the biggest testament to quality.(**READ THIS**)Set up- Every ice scream scoop, utensil, and topping has a place in the container. I think this is a reason the one at our library has survived so long. Everything having a place is a big deal in our house to prolong play. The other brand sets I bought did not have enough space for everything which increased clutter and reduced the possibilities of play. It doesn’t matter if other sets come with more pieces if the pieces are just going to get lost and not part of functional play.-made for play- The set up mimics an ice cream counter which invites interactive play. My toddler plays with 6+ year olds with this by one kid “ordering” through the plastic front, and the other “serving” on the ice cream side. There is also a menu included that can be used to order from by checking boxes or pointing. Every ice cream flavor and topping is visible through the plastic and in a logical placement. Again, this was also a big loser from the other brands- one had shelves only visible to the server side. This is GREAT to promote social skills, pretend play, and language!!!-stackable: the ice cream scoops can stack on top of each other to make a tall cone/cup. This greatly expands the possibilities of play and of course was the first thing my kids did with it. One set of another brand I bought did not allow for stacking.-Speech, language and social development- this is an open ended toy that is great for young kiddos to learn through play. My 2 y/o toddler picked up the words single, double, and triple in one play setting. My baby learned to pretend lick the cone, ask for more, etc. I am a firm believer that M&D carefully craft their products to promote skills through play. Yes, im kicking myself for not buying this one first.-fine motor skills- great to promote fine motor skills.ConsI have no cons, I fully believe this is the perfect ice cream set.Age group: 1+. My one year old is interested in this and enjoys putting the scoops in the spots/cones. My 2 y/o will spend an hour playing with this making different scoops for everyone. At the library, older kids (I would guess up to 10 y/o) also play with this toy. I imagine it will be a staple in our hosue for a long time.

This came across my feed because there’s a deal on it right now, and I just needed to say that is is genuinely such a great buy. I bought it 3 years ago and it’s still hanging around the house, put away for some time and then brought back out again and again. It’s sturdy, well-made, and the paint is durable and makes all the parts easy to clean. Most of all, the concept is fun and executed well. The scoop works like a real one and the design is just like a build-your-own ice cream shop. I’ve ordered hundreds of wooden ice cream cones from my kids over the years, and I imagine I’ll still be ordering for a while to come. This is one of the few Christmas toys that has proven its value.

We’ve been a huge fan of Melissa & Diug for years!!!This set was actually a gift for our 3 year old nephew who has been more into pretend play recently. This set is well made, and so nice! He absolutely loves it and has played with it everyday since we got it for him over a month a go! We will always swear by Melissa and Doug for their durability with all their stuff.

For a kids set, this has a lot of variety. There are tons of different pieces. It makes it easy to do check-ups or “fix boo-boos.” I love that it comes with a bag to store everything. My 3 and 4 year old play doctor often, so this was definitely worth the cost. It has held up to being thrown, stepped on, dog laid on and any other toddler thing it has been put through. My only complaint is that there’s pieces in there that I’m not even sure what they’re for. My kids think I know everything, so they were upset when I wasn’t sure about the Doppler? They also asked why a menu was included. I tried explaining that it was to teach people how to eat healthy. They proceeded to take it to their play kitchen and leave it there.

We love this! It’s NOT a child’s toy. It’s for learning and being hands on in the kitchen; that’s what we use it for. The quality is great, they cut nicely, they look cute. We learn safety and the size is a good size for my 6 year old to grow into and use for many years. (I love them too) They’re safe with instruction and supervision, as with all kitchen items.I think if these were a TOY, they would be plastic.Great way for my child to feel special and when he’s in the mood to participate, he has his special set. I got rid of all the plastic, flimsy, or broken play food and changed it to wooden play food. Something easier to clean and more durable. With a 2 year old and 5 year old we need something that will last us time but also abuse from them and their friend thats here often. They love to play chef, house or restruant. These are a perfect addition to our play kitchen. Durable, fun colors, relastic, strudy, great value for the price. My friend was impressed she ended up getting some for her son. So glad I found these and the kiddos love them.

This is a pretty cute set. I bought it after a dentist visit when my kids were curious about teeth and good brushing practices. The set was on sale for $19.99 and included a ton of items including a model tooth set with some teeth that were wiggly and you could pull on and they’d wiggle, a toothbrush to practice brushing, some stickers to be “tooth decay” and other items to make it fun for kids to learn about dental hygiene. Melissa and Doug is usually a draw for me to want to buy the toys. The quality is usually good and this set was no different. We also own the Melisa and Doug doctors kit so all items are now mixed together for the kids to play doctor/dentist. My kids are 2-8 and they all enjoy playing with the set. I think it has helped to make for better nighttime brushing routines.

Great value for the money!! A true classic! Durable and fun! The details are amazing. There is floss in the floss container. The little drill works and you can switch the heads. This set is so much fun. It is not wood like most Melissa and Doug products but it is a durable plastic! I prefer the plastic because it easier to wipe down and clean. It looks just like a real life dentist set up. I have absolutely no cons. This set is amazing!!

Shockingly, my 2 year old LOVED her first visit to the dentist.. highly recommend some YouTube videos to prepare. She now wants to play dentist all the time… in my mouth lol. I got this for her for Christmas to save myself, but I may need to get it to her sooner! Very cute and M&D quality is always great!

I bought this dentist play set for my granddaughter, and it’s been such a hit! She loves pretending to be the dentist and checking everyone’s teeth. My daughter is going to the dentist for the first time and this kit has been amazing. The teeth are heavier than expected and great quality. Not only is it great for dentist prep but showing her how to brush her teeth and eventually flossing when we get there.

Got for my 4 yr old nephew who just loves pretend toys and he absolutely loves it! I love Melissa and Doug toys and a lot of the children in my family have ad them and always loved them! comes with many tools and of course can be used on any other stuffed animal as well.

The animals are a nice addition and lets kids us their imagination with all their stuffed toys. It would be nice to offer an expansion kit with more bandages and components. Kids can easily spend long periods of time with this toy especially when playing with other kids. Treatment or prescription pads would also be a nice addition.

My 3 year old son plays with this probably more than all his other toys! He enjoys playing vet with his stuffed animals and… well apparently I’m one too! ????

This kit has a lot of parts that appeal to preschool hands and brains. Bought this as a holiday gift for a 4 year old and it’s the main toy she’s played with since receiving it. The dog and cat that come with the kit are a bit cheap, and the stethoscope was folded so much that it has a permanent kink in it, so I knocked a star off. This is definitely lower quality than the other Doug and Melissa toys I’ve bought, hoping the brand isn’t going downhill, but the concept is fantastic and most of the parts seem reasonably sturdy.

My niece has always been pretty inquisitive about makeup and always comes to me to do it on her skin which makes me uncomfortable as our makeup ingredients are not that apt for kids sensitive skin. The day I saw this kit on Amazon, I ordered it and she loved it and made me order more for her friends too. Thanks for making something for kids. Totally love it!!

This is such a a cute little makeup kit. I got this for my 3y/o niece, who LOVES watching makeup tutorials with her mom. Upon receiving it, I looked through it first to make sure the makeup wasn’t going to be a problem. I love that the little compacts are real powder makeup, they’re not that waxy mess that gives sensitive skin a rash. The lip glosses are light and sparkly. The brushes are good quality. And the nail polishes are the dry and peel kind, so I won’t have to worry about damage to furniture. I did throw out the lipstick tube so my sister wouldn’t hate me. My niece was so excited . She concentrated and did her makeup for a long time then showed everyone her unicorn purse! It was a total hit.

What a great gift for little girls! I was looking for something for them to use/play with, instead of my stuff all the time. This was perfect! Everything was their size and easy to use. Washed off easily too!

What a great hair machine/toy for girls. It does not require any batteries, and it does not heat up so you do not have to worry about them burning their fingers. The directions are really easy to understand, but may require some adult supervision. There is a top and a bottom, and you put the gen in the top, and the backing on the bottom, put it on hair and press down. Once it snaps in to place you got a cute gem in your hair for any occasion. There is enough to do this a few times as there is multiple gems. I really love this machine. The pieces are smaller so little kids will need an adult as it can be a choking hazard, otherwise great purchase!!
