  • Excelente.
    Muy buen.
  • Works great. Bet you can’t say that about every product.
I have used Malwarebytes for years….initially the free version and then subscriptions. I am running it now on my desktop, my laptop, my android phone and my tablet. It does not clog up the works like some of the other anti-virus software. (I am concerned however, that the Malwarebytes real time protection does drain the battery faster in my Samsung tablet. I have to further look into that.) It is quick to “pop-up” block malicious websites and generic tracking attempts. I will continue to use it. I have given up on standard third-party anti-virus products and run only with Malwarebytes and Microsoft Defender built in to Windows 11. No probs. Give it a try.
  • safety software hope it works like it claims
time will tell. Happy so far.
  • Fixed my computer!
My computer was blue screening and getting worse. I purchased this software and removed the anti-virus I had and reinstalled this software. It found a number of issues and removed those and my computer is running as good as new. Great product!
  • Malwarebytes
Scam. Don’t buy. A waste of your money. Can not activate the subscription key.
  • When you install it you don’t know it’s there most of the time but it’s working.
I have a tiny tablet/laptop combo by Acer and it’s a few years old. It’s a strong machine with an i7 processor but low on RAM (8GB) so I didn’t know if it would choke on Malwarebytes but I’ve had no issues with it since installing Malwarebytes 4 for the first time on that machine using the product I’m reviewing.I just pulled McAfee off all my machines as it nagged me every single day for 3 months about an approaching license expiration where I had to click each time that I would accept the risk? WHAT RISK if they are doing their job and the license is active? I was furious with them. Besides it has Malwarebytes already working in the background on those machines so I started uninstalling that awful nagging software.Don’t get me wrong as Malwarebytes nags too which I found out when my laptop license was about to expire later this month but I wanted to transfer another license to the laptop so I didn’t want to renew that expiring license. I didn’t like that from them either but I didn’t have to jump through hoops to keep on working and quit using the soon to expire license shortly thereafter and installed the other license.I’ve used Malwarebytes for years now and they had one scary issue that turned me off them. It totally ran through my RAM and left me where I couldn’t use it until I downloaded a patch. I typed as fast as I could to turn it off and it still used up all my RAM and locked up the computer again and again. Frankly that year, I didn’t run it all the time as I had McAfee installed. I didn’t trust Malwarebytes for quite a while. I’m just saying, it’s not perfect but they do get on it when they find out there’s an issue with the software. They’ve done right by me since then. And one note about starting this review. This is software and the questions you asked before I started writing this review were ridiculous. You want to know about thickness and sheerness like I was rating clothing. I turned those off but you could have done a lot better. I don’t know who was responsible for it but they know.
  • It’s All Good
I had used the free version of Malwarebytes on my desktop and tried the 14 day trial of Premium. I decided recently to go ahead and get this 18 month deal on Premium for two devices. I did not have any problem installing it on my desktop. A few days later, I attempted to install it on my laptop. The install did not appear to be working at first but I did get it to finally show up as being installed on a second device in the Malwarebytes account I had to register for when I installed it on the desktop. Last week, I took the laptop on a trip and when I logged onto it, a Malwarebytes pop-up informed me that I had 4 days remaining on my free 14 day trial of Premium. There was no mention of the 18 month subscription. I don’t know what has gone wrong but I am going to try to see If I can get it sorted out. It seems to be working as intended on the desktop.UPDATE: I revisited this today and was successful (eventually) on getting the program installed on the new laptop and recognized in my account. I am no IT Specialist (obviously) but do think Malwarebytes is good software and this package from Amazon providing for installation on two machines for 18 months of service seemed to be the best value I saw. Consequently, I am revising my grade upward.
  • It needs patience and effort to install and activate.
The delivery was super fast. The installment and activation was confusing. Once I received the card which came with a license key, I was able to download the software and installed it – windows 10 default directory. And then I could see a blue button ‘Activate’. I did click that button several times, receiving error, ‘activation failed’. Then I figured I had to click where it showed 0/2 devices and clicked Activate. I knew the activation worked, because I did not get an error. But there were a bunch of ads coming to distract me and so I closed the window, clicked the shortcut on my desktop and started scanning.

Synology IP Camera License Pack for 4 (CLP4)

Synology IP Camera License Pack for 4 (CLP4)

Price: $217.82
4.4/5

(719 reviews)

What Customers Say:

  • They work as described. Synology really needs to enter the modern world of instant codes.
Instead of subscribing to yearly or monthly security software, Synology chooses to collect the money at once with camera licenses. Once you enter the code on a Synology NAS or Security Station, you are instantly granted additional licenses. The license is indefinite. Synology regularly updates the security software which adds another job a NAS can take on. There are instructions online about how to transfer a license to a new or replacement NAS so it truly is a one time purchase. Synology has a list of compatible cameras on their website. Basically, if you have an open source PoE or WiFi camera, it will work. Sometimes you have to tweak the settings on the camera’s interface. Setting up security cameras is a lot of trial and error. Most security stations charge an annual fee for updates or even access. Either way, you are going to pay money to setup a personal security hub instead of using cloud based or other subscription based ones. Each method has its benefits and short comings. Make sure you do your research before you choose which way you go.I really only have one gripe. Synology has the ability to sell subscriptions and single payment purchases through their website. It seems really silly to require someone to wait until a card is delivered. In may case, it came late via USPS.One star to the new Synology medium to enterprise NAS units. Look out if you are making a new purchase if you aren’t interested in purchasing only Synology drives, RAM, and cache drives. So far the consumer / prosumer grade models aren’t pulling this yet.
  • Expensive add-on
I bought a Synology DS218J to act as a surveillance server. It wasn’t until I got the NAS and read the instructions that I learned that it only allows you to install two surveillance cameras in their Surveillance Station software for free and then you have to purchase a One, Four, or Eight pack of camera licenses to add more cameras. These licenses are not cheap. They cost about $57 each or less in the multi-packs. I had to add a four pack to my NAS to be able to get decent coverage on my business with a total of six cameras. I will say this though, they are worth it. The DS218J performs flawlessly while recording 6 cameras at a time despite the server having only a Celeron CPU.
  • Expensive and bad
So I have to pay for a license to use the camera that I already paid for with the NAS that I already paid for? Oh and the software is terrible? Big ????
  • Great Replacement option for a dead NVR if you have a Synology NAS.
The NVR attached to our IP camera system died after about 8 years. Since we already have a Synology NAS with plenty of storage, I purchased Surveillance Station licenses instead of a replacement NVR.I got the licenses in two days, and they took all of 5 minutes to activate on my NAS. The licenses cost me as much as the NVR would have, but I get a lot more for my money. I have a lot more storage space out of the gate, and I can actually add more if I need to (I could not with the replacement NVR). The Surveillance Station software is much better than the NVR software that comes with my camera system. It’s compatible with a lot more camera models, making it much easier to replace my cameras when they fail. It also does a much better job of motion detection and identifying events. The phone, tablet and web apps also work MUCH better, and are much more user friendly. The Surveillance Station software has been running for several weeks with absolutely no issues.Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase.
  • Yup, it works
If you have a synology NAS, you may have discovered that you can use it to run IP cameras on your network. The only thing you need is your cameras, a PoE switch (or injectors), and the NAS. In my case, I use the NAS as a backup but I don’t even come close to fully utilizing it so it is doubling as a station for my cameras. Here’s the issue with Synology. The units work on a licensing system for cameras. Most come with 2. If you only have 2 cameras, no big deal. You have everything you need right out of the box. If you want more, however, you have to buy licenses. This practice is really annoying. I did it because it’s still cheaper than buying a dedicated unit (and adding NAS friendly hard drives, remember, they need to be surveillance or NAS rated, not standard hard drives and definitely not SSDs because of the constant read/write access). You get the code, you enter it, and a half a second later, you have the ability to add 4 new cameras. Purchasing your license in bulk saves you a little money over buying them individually. It doesn’t save a lot however, so if you only need 3 licenses it’s still cheaper to buy those individually. Realistically, I labelled this 5 stars because it is exactly what it is supposed to be. I just have a problem with Synology’s practice of charging so much per camera.
  • I am so glad there is a 4-pack so we could save a …
I am so glad there is a 4-pack so we could save a little bit of money. We now have 32 cameras and licenses (we have 4 synology units that come with 2 free licenses each so we have paid for 24 of these licenses). This was the first time I have been able to buy the 4-pack. Many comments here on Amazon express concern or frustration with the price of these license packs, Yes $50+ does seem high if you are not seeing the “big picture”, but if you look at it, there is no cost for the Surveillance Station software. It is just a free package when you buy a Synology unit. This software is amazing and definitely worth paying money for. Actually the idea of being able to pay a small amount for each camera is so much better than having to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars up front for the software no matter how many cameras you plan to use. Not to mention the free upgrades that you get with out any cost, and the the app for your mobile devices is amazing as well. Software with free upgrades (from a company that actually make improvements (updates) to their software) typically means you have a monthly fee. You don’t have any of that. The small cost of a license pack is worth it because you get access to all the amazing goodness inside of this software.

What Customers Say:

  • Great NAS but At what point is the price too high?
Synology, its about time you stabilize the price of these licenses. If you keep raising prices customers are going to go elsewhere. It works 100% and I use these in several states, but if you price yourself out of the market I will stop using Synology and go with another brand that does not nickle and dime customers.
  • I like the ease of use and not tied to a specific camera brand!
Let’s get the price out of the way, yeah it can be pricey if you have a lot of cameras to license. However, most of us have 4-5 cameras, you get 2 free licenses in the ds220+ and other Synology models so really your spending under 200 bucks for them to stay on top of the software which is no small task. Not to mention that it’s licensed for life unlike other software that milks you yearly or monthly just to use it.Overall, I think they do a pretty good job in functionality and as good as most in security updates. The phone app is easy to use and if you have a router that supports VPN then wherever you are, use VPN to connect to your router and don’t worry about exposing your NAS to the web. No need for quick connect either.Could they do better? Of course there’s always room for that but out of the box, I have nothing to complain about and I’d recommend this solution over a no name NVR and even most of the big name NVR’s just on the security issues alone and lack of up dating. So I give it an 8.5 out of ten.

  • Cost-Effective Add-On for DiskStation’s NAS
If you’re shocked about the cost, research (the cost & feasibility) of other IP-Cam CCTV hardware/software. It can be very expensive to purchase, install, config & maintain your own CCTV system. That’s why so many just buy the 4-Cam or 8-Cam packaged CCTV solutions at the local hardware store — but they still have to hump around the house to install each camera with individual cable-runs, and learn how their system needs to be configured, etc. These systems are great for consumers who don’t know anything about IP-based CCTV systems but if you’re reading this review, I’m assuming you’re already tech-savvy.I don’t work for Synology. I’m an ordinary average guy with a wife who wanted CCTV cameras in the house, and I already owned a DiskStation DS410 NAS device using firmware version “DSM 3.2-1944” with 4x2TB Seagate hard drives. I was surprised DiskStation’s firmware had a CCTV Surveillance application already on-board the DS410, and I was also surprised I needed to purchase a license for each additonal CCTV camera I want to install. So, I searched the Internet for similar IP-based CCTV systems and compared cost, etc. I was even more surprised to discover other IP-based camera licenses cost twice as much (or more) than Synology’s IP camera license.I now have ten (10) CCTV IP Cameras all over my house connected and managed by my DS410 NAS using Synology’s Surveillance Station firmware. Each of my cameras are Chinese imitations of the popular wifi Foscam PTZ models w/night vision. I tried using only wifi for the last 6 months but each IP camera’s wifi radio performance was marginal at best. My wife and I also own iPhones and Synology offers a Surveillance Station app from Apple’s iTunes online app store. We can monitor every camera in the house from our iPhones including pan, tilt, zoom! I ended-up routing CAT-5 cable to each IP camera and the overall performance of the system is way better! Just make sure to have a good router and network switch. I’m an expat living in the Philippines, so obtaining all of this equipment was not even clost to easy but little-by-little it’s all assembled and working 24/7.I only have two complaints about this purchase: (1) each license has to be physically shipped to your address instead of just receiving an email with the license key, and (2) Amazon split my shipping into two separate deliveries [2 different shipping companies] instead of only one EVEN AFTER I SPECIFIED ‘GROUP INTO INDIVIDUAL SHIPMENT’ upon check-out, which wasn’t a big deal but one of the shipping companies lost the delivery and I had to spend hours on the phone overseas to resolve the problem. In that regard, Amazon’s shipping policies/procedures have degraded since I first began shopping with them over ten years ago.
  • Excellent
Synology surveillance station is the best you are going to get in the reasonable price range…I consider this the entry level into the commercial /industrial processional products and I currently have a synology ds723+ with two 1Tb M.2 drives for cache and expanded RAM chip as well. Running 24 cameras 24/7 constant (no motion activation), 20 or 30fps and 8mp. Am very happy with it. Note – my job is installing commercial systems in large facilities and this is what I bought for my own house .
  • Easy to integrate to my current system
The key is easy to input to my CCTV system and the camera was authenticated successfully. The license is quite expensive but it has feature support that caters to many different CCTV cameras. I hope they would offer this on SALE since it is very easy to use and the license is transferrable to any Synology NAS or dedicated Surveillance systems.

What Customers Say:

  • Easy Installation.
I am using my Synology NAS as the recording location for my home video surveillance system. The application called Surveillance Station is free, but only includes connections for 2 cameras. The license pack increases the recording functionality to either 2, 4 or 8 additional cameras. What you are buying is a license number for your extra cameras. There is no additional software to install. The NAS must have connectivity to the internet; Surveillance Station calls home to Synology to validate the number you just entered. It took me about 5 minutes, including the time to log into the NAS. Easy!
  • More Licenses More Webcams More to See That You’re Missing
I have a Synology DS1812+ (8-Bay) Server. Though I was aware of the Surveillance Station App, I had no cause to explore it until I added several more network (IP) webcams. I quickly used the two free licenses that were provided with the server. The setup of each camera is easy and the record/playback/timeline functions are great. The Synology DS Cam Phone App works very well too. I also use Blue Iris concurrently (on a separate PC) and it all gets along well. I purchased the 8-pack license to add more webcams. Installing the license pack was no more difficult than typing in the license number. The Surveillance Station App is a professional grade product and plays well with others. Being able to record multiple webcams gives us a better feel for our inside and outside environment…might even see a raccoon raiding the birdfeeder!
  • Severely overpriced
I bought this and promptly returned it after I realized there were much less expensive options out there for home security. I like the surveillance station software and became resigned to the fact it was expensive, but then came to my senses and realized it was too expensive for what it provided. At half the price it is offered at, I would consider it correctly priced. In the end, I went with Blue Iris, and ended up with more money in my wallet and software that works just as well as this.
  • Amazon lied to me.
Mr. Amazon, you told me that it will arrive on February 12th.My package is arrived on February 8th. I’m so grateful1. The shape of the picture and the real thing are the same.2. There is a card-shaped key in the package.
  • Great surveillance camera platform at a steep cost
Synology Surveillance Station is a great concept – turning a NAS that’s already used for file storage into a security system that can record files. Synology limits the number of cameras that can be added to Surveillance Station (by default most Synology NAS’ come with 2 free camera licenses). While the price tag on these license packs is hefty, I do find that Synology Surveillance Station is much better than my previous competitor security system.
  • Great Product
We have been using Synology’s Surveillance Station for years now and it works flawlessly for us. I have ~12 cameras on it, in total, and I couldn’t ask for a easier or cheaper solution.
  • You get what you pay for
I was so hesitant to pay for camera licensing but Surveillance Station with the DS cam app is awesome. Rock solid software with continuous improvements. Absolutely no regrets. Yes you have to wait for this to mail in. No big deal.
  • Got exactly what was advertised
These keys were easy ti install and synology accepted the keys easy enough, of course my only gripe is the cost. I mean you have to buy the nas, then buy the hard drives, then you have to buy the camera’s, then you have to buy a key to use them. Feels like i am being squeezed for every penny they can get. I will be testing BluIiris and its its capabilities after all of this expensive testing. that being said, Synology Surveilence center is good, and had good features. But i use the 1821+ and the 18+ series befor that, and now they have the AI versions. So now i feel like all this money spent, and i still dont have the right hardware. So over all i am not very excited.Thats why i gave it 3 star. Cause i am not going to purchase the AI system, after spending thousands on all this other equiptment, and licences. So again for me, i think it will be cheaper going forward to just invest time into BluIiris system. and avoid any other upcharges from synology in the future.
