    This brand has been a staple in our home since we got our Guinea pig ???? 3 years ago. It has been an affordable brand that has always had quality ingredients. We started with this brands Timothy hay and we tried a couple other brands over the years but I kept coming back to this one because it always seemed like our Guinea pig liked this brand the best. Our piggy get super excited when we refill her hay and she popcorns in her cage as we’re refilling it. It’s like she’s saying, “yay, more of my favorite food!” ???? The packaging has always been good and her teeth have always been great (no issues with them becoming overgrown; thank goodness ????). Her teeth are also clean and the texture of the hay has always been consistent. She is also not “picky” in terms of types of food given. So long as it’s safe for her to eat, she eats it all ????Overall, this is some of the best hay that I have found for our little piggy.

    This Oxbow Western Timothy Hay is the only hay my rabbits will consistently eat. It always smells fresh and clean, and the pieces are long, green, and soft enough for them to munch on easily. It keeps their teeth healthy and their digestion perfect. I love that it is natural and dust free, and it comes in a bag that stays fresh after opening. My bunnies get excited every time I fill their feeder with this hay. Great quality and totally worth the price for happy, healthy rabbits.

    Fresh, sweet smelling and green. I moved it over to a larger bag so I could mix in Oxbow orchard grass, along with an handful of organic dried lemon balm, organic calendula flowers, organic hibiscus flowers and organic roses. There was no dust in this bag and no shake like I’ve had in other brands.

    I have been buying this hay for our lion head bunny whom we rescued and after feeding him a different brand of hay we found that the Oxbow ine he liked much more.The large bag was gone in about a month .The only thing now is the last tow purchases the hay doesn’t seem to be the same it looks like it’s dried out and he’s not eating as much of it but he’s eating it but similar to the way he used to eat hay in the past he didn’t really like it but he eats it but not as much.I noticed the second last bag it looked dried out and we ordered another bag which arrived today and it is dried out also .So I am looking from feed back from the company .Thank you

    Out of all the rodent beddings, this should be your go-to for rodents who have short hair and love to dig. I wanted a gerbil at a pet store and I saw this old gerbil that was stuck in a small cage. I took him home and took care of him. He started to trust me and play with us. Later, when I was playing with him, he unfortunately had a stroke or seizure and died. After I while, I got 2 new gerbil and this is the best bedding I can find. It absorbs 3x and is very fluffy. My gerbils love it. I would recommend using this type of bedding! I started out with a fish tank for my first gerbil than got a new cage. 9.5/10 bedding very good.

    I solely used this bedding the last time I had a hamster. This bedding expands so much when you start to take it out of the bag, so one bag probably contains twice the volume you can visually see before you open it.This bedding is a fairly low dust one in my experience. I would see some dust, but I don’t think I ever heard my hamster coughing or anything from it. I felt safe giving him this bedding.He was also able to fill his igloo with this and make really sturdy homes, I could lift the igloo and his nest would hold its shape.I found the white to be aesthetically pleasing and it also made it a lot easier to spot clean the cage because you can visually see where things are dirty.Overall, if I ever got another hamster, this bedding would still be at the top of my list!

  • Usually good quality
    Over a year ago, I started purchasing 2-3 bags a month thru Amazon Subscribe and Save. Generally, the bags are good quality & dust free. However, the previous 2 months were of such poor quality with a dust content so significant, the white bedding was brown… worse was the dust plume & smell. My GP went into sneezing fits, as did I. Initially, I tried mixing with a locally purchased bags. However, the two bags received last month were so bad, I just threw them away & purchased locally. Obviously, bedding is expensive & I had decided to end this subscription. However, with May being a crazy, busy month, I forgot. I was thrilled to discover the 2 bags this month are CLEAN! This is the only brand of white bedding available on Amazon that is soft, absorbent, dye free… & usually dust free… and also a reasonable price. I change my Guinea pig bedding far more than is probably necessary, thus bedding is a huge expense. This product is available in larger size bags at a fairly reasonable price. Given delivery is of high importance for me, I will continue the subscription, re-evaluating on month to month basis.

    I have a black lab and live in Florida. She sheds constantly throughout the year. She also loves to have her butt scratched. This is the first brush that she doesn’t try to get away from. It must be good for the scratching or she would not tolerate it. As far as how I feel about it, I am so impressed with the ease of cleaning of the shedded fur off the brush. It works with just a push of the button and doesn’t require any use of another object to clean the “bristles”. Big plus when your dog sheds as much as mine does. I don’t recall what it cost, but I am sure that it is worth every penny. This is a keeper!!

    I have a dog who loves going to the groomer but doesn’t love Dad messing with her fur at home. Like an impatient toddler, I’d get 2 or 3 strokes in with her old brush and off she went. She tolerates this much better and will stand still for 6-8 strokes, so massive improvement in other words. My kitty absolutely loves being brushed with this one, and “asks” for it almost daily with a particular combination of meow and posturing that I now understand LOL I also like that the metal brush teeth have a soft covering on the tips which apparently feels realllllly good LOL And while the body is plastic, it feels well-constructed with rounded edges, and is super-easy to clean with a click of the lock button.

    I want to say this brush does work well, and there’s nothing wrong with its function. It does what it’s supposed to and I can see how well it would work for deshedding. Unfortunately I have to return because it’s a little too rough on my long haired cat, I think she would benefit from a soft bristle brush. Something to keep in mind before ordering.

    Cat loves this. Isn’t heavy but also seems durable and like it will last a while. I wanted a bristle brush, because my cat turned out to have more of a medium coat than a short one and a brush alone wasn’t going to cut it. I was unsure about how much pressure to use but the tipped end of the metal bristles work! My cat got tired of my hesitation and just started rubbing his face on the brush full force! Good price point – yes, there are cheaper ones and more expensive ones, but this seems to be a good middle.

    Best dog hair brush I’ve ever owned. I like how the bristles retract to clean the hair rather than pushing the plate forward, MUCH better design. We have a Golden Retriever and a Dutch Shepherd and this works wonders on them, good buy for sure.

    This cleaner honestly is a MIRACLE cleaner, I’m not even kidding! It saved me and I seriously can’t say enough good things about it!I wanted something that was safe enough to spray indoors that wouldn’t hurt my cats with chemicals, yet something that was going to be powerful to eliminate the spraying that some of them had randomly (after many years of living together already) decided they would start doing around my house. Being that I had more than one cat it was hard to detect which one the culprit was, and which of the exact areas of my house that they were “competing for” – all I knew is that I could smell it all of a sudden so it must be happening that one of them (or more of them) were mad at or with something – for reasons that I had tried everything to fix and figure out prior, to no avail. After a month or so – there were a few areas in my house that were clear that one or more of the cats had sprayed – I would clean the area’s that were clearly used as a “marking battleground” with soap, vinegar, cleaning products – you name it, I tried it…literally nothing worked – the smell was ALWAYS still kind of there after I deep cleaned, and I swear my cats would watch me clean it and think “yeah right, that’s not going to work.” Sure enough, after spending hours cleaning, they would go back to that same spot the next day to continue competing.It got to the point that no matter how hard I cleaned the smell just wouldn’t go away no matter what I did, and I was starting to feel uncomfortable about finally being able to have people over to my house again since the pandemic…it was beyond frustrating.I stumbled upon the Rocco & Roxie cleaner on Amazon (after spending hours over many days scrolling through options and reviews of other cleaners that claimed to do the same things that this cleaner does – none of the others that I had look at on Amazon seemed like they were going to be a good fit.) Then – thank GOODNESS, the fates led me to this cleaner – I read the reviews for Rocco and Roxie and all of the descriptions seemed to fit what I also needed it for, and seemed to have very satisfied customers after using it. I bought the small bottle and anxiously waited for it to come in the mail, (I really couldn’t wait – hoping beyond hope that this worked…but not wanting to get my hopes up too high.) As soon as it was delivered to my house I seriously ripped open the box and tested it out….and folks it was seriously like someone waved a magic wand in my house – I went around the house spraying their “usual spots” that I had figured out, and it was like they were never there – the smell was gone (the few stains that were there – poof – GONE!) Thinking it was too good to be true, I waited for the spots that I used it on to dry to see if the smell was still gone and – it was that good – the smell in any part of the house that used to smell was GONE! I was so amazed that I started spraying some other spots in the house that I suspected but wasn’t sure about. I went through the entire bottle in less than a day – spraying various spots in my house. Almost instantly the smell of pee and cat spray went away! All of my hours upon hours of cleaning over the last months hadn’t even touched these spots from a smell standpoint and with one spray of this cleaner the smell in each part of my house – was gone – it was THAT easy!Just as amazing, if not more – none of my cats are not in any way interested in going back to those spots any longer – and I haven’t had an issue with them spraying or competing for “their” spots in the house since I sprayed it the first time – this cleaner also really does completely take out the scent that only cats can smell too, which make them go back to re-mark an area that they already marked to continue to assert that the area is theirs – none of them have gone back to any of the areas since I used this cleaner!I have also used it on just about every type of material; hardwood, wooden chests, carpet, clothing, couch fabric, cabinets, outside – none of the areas that I have used this cleaner on have stained or look any different condition wise than they looked before I used it! I think that says a lot about the harmful chemicals that aren’t in this spray and more to what has been scientifically put together in this spray to work against the science that creates any kind of smell in the first place.The day that I received the small bottle in the mail, after going through more than half the bottle of it it so quickly – I immediately jumped on Amazon and bought the big gallon option. In the same order, I also bought a small, cheap funnel on Amazon. Whenever I need to fill the small bottle (which isn’t often at all now, because it’s gotten rid of the smell and my problem of my cats even trying to re-mark,) I use the funnel and put it at the top of the small bottle and pour the contents of the gallon jug of this cleaner into the small bottle so that I have the option of the spray bottle to “arm” myself with when I need it.Whatever the makers of this amazing cleaner have created to fight the enzymes that the description explains that this cleaner fights (like others don’t) really truly works – they have created something that they have truly tested and worked the Science of because – it WORKS!I really don’t need to use it at all much any longer (every once in a while one of the cats will try again in a new spot not used before and as soon as I find the spot – or smell it and seek it out – I arm myself with the spray bottle and douse the spot in this miracle cleaner and that spot in the house isn’t even a thought to them any longer, or a smelling nuisance to me any longer.)The cost might be a bit more than most of the cleaners out there but TRUST ME, if you’re going through the same thing I did – or just need to get rid of any kind of smell (not just pet smells – though those are the worst – but this will work on ANY smell you have in your house) – Rocco & Roxie is WORTH it’s weight in gold and then some – it’s priceless! It does something that no other cleaner can do! It really does act tough on stains and odors and gets down deep to never make the offending smell a problem again.I have even used it on my garbage can when it started to smell a little strange – I poured some of this cleaner in the bottom of the can, added a bit of hot water – scrubbed it a bit and voila – smelled as fresh and new as if I had just bought it!The smell of the spray itself isn’t offending at all either, (I actually think that it has a bit of a a floral smell,) it doesn’t smell like chemicals at all and after a few hours you don’t even notice that you even sprayed it – it just smells like your house again. It can be used on literally ANYTHING that has a smell and it will fight against whatever the smell is and whatever that smell has left behind to make that smell, as if it was never there to begin with after you spray this cleaner on whatever it is!The piece of mind in knowing that I have this close at hand whenever I need it for anything, is SUCH a relief – it has saved me – my house smells like my own again and I can have people over without worrying that my house smells. If there is any kind of odor in my house caused by anything I know that this spray is just a few steps away to be able to solve it!     Wow! This is the first product out of EVERYTHING I have tried that INSTANTLY destroys old pet urine. Just spray wipe and repeat that’s it. It’s not a heavy scent either. It’s a very light and clean smell and gone in an instant. I also used it on a new sectional couch ( used for a few months from a friend with 4 kids) It had a little bit of a stale smell to it. I even shampooed it, scrubbed the sectional and then I would repeat the process over and over and it didn’t go a thing. The couch had what looked like a film on it. But I used Rocco& Roxi and after spraying one time and dried quickly. It instantly restored the new look. I could easily see the spots I missed. So I sprayed it again and this time wiped it with a wet cloth. My couch looks like brand new. It also had a few little stains and now it’s gone. The small stale smell immediately is gone. Also I tested this amazing product in my car. I have a light tan cloth interior. Water stains , spilled coffee stains and I used a carpet cleaner , diff soaps and it didn’t really help much but left more water stands on it. BUT I used Rocco & Roxi and just lightly sprayed and rubbed it with a wet cloth until it was a little bit foamy and these stains instantly disappeared. If you have a lot of stains or need this product for both your home and car and etc. I would order the gallon size. It doesn’t take much but I went through the entire bottle in no time. However I sprayed everything I could think of. This new apartment had old pet urine in different places and now gone. 1000 ft apartment and a large sectional couch along with my interior /car.i was actually surprised how far it went. If it was a different product like I’ve tried I wouldn’t of been able to do but maybe a half . Get this product! You won’t regret it.

    I took my brother-in-law and his cat to the vaccine clinic for her yearly vaccines. We carried her there in a soft cat carrier in the back of my nice car. She was rolling in that carrier like an alligator after his prey. After spending 2 hours at the clinic and leaving the car parked in the hot sun, the stench of cat urine was obvious when we returned. With the first application of Rocco & Roxie, I was pleased that it did not discolor the black carpet. I sprayed heavily on the affected area and noticed the smell was strong with a familiar scent I could not put my finger on…..a cross between cloves and cinnamon. After it dried, I vacuumed at the car vacs. Next day when I got in the car, I could smell the urine again…mixed with the Rocco & Roxie. After five applications, and putting my nose in the carpet, I think it has been a success…though time will tell. Because my elderly mother and aunt found the “chemical odor” offensive, I put an application of Mr Mix Anti Icky Poo on and it toned down the chemical scent considerably. Will update if the urine smell returns after the car sitting in the hot sun for days.

So, today, after selectively sorting out the usable portions, I’m throwing the last 1/3 away. The second bag, arriving after the one I’m now discarding a portion of, appears much greener.     The best paper bedding I know of and far superior for Guinea pigs than other products. It is dust free, controls odor, soft for their feet and easy to keep clean. Just pick up the poop and wet spots, add clean bedding and they are good to go. Fleece can be attractive but unless changed almost daily it “smells” and while less expensive than paper bedding, I don’t have the time to do laundry almost daily. I should also note that Carefresh is a terrific company…I received several bags of inferior quality that I had ordered online made by a new supplier to them and they immediately appologized and sent me coupons for free replacements when I reported it to them. Not many companies will do that.Move ahead to May 2018…I don’t know what happened to Carefresh but their soft, fluffy paper beddding has been replaced by large clumps of hard pieces of paper that have a chemical smell and do not absorb urine as well. I again reached out to the company which again offered free coupons for replacement bags but the bags in the stores are just as bad so that was no help. I’m afraid to order online because I don’t know what I’ll receive. In the past I’ve returned bags to Amazon, Chewy and Petsmart online. I think my days of buying Carefresh Ultra are over and that is really sad.

    This product works very well for my bun. I see that it manages odor for up to 10 days. I don’t know who would go that long without changing their bun’s litter. I scoop several times a day. But it does keep his urine from pooling and puddling and corroding the plastic bottom of the litter pan. Also, it absorbs the urine so well that I don’t have to empty the whole litter pan just scoop the specific areas that the urine has saturated into. This is good news because having to empty the whole litter pan out two or three times a day gets expensive and generates a lot of trash. This litter allows me to do my part to keep his litter clean, and he does his part by using his litter pan. He’s a very good bun.

    Carefresh White Paper Bedding is one of my two favorite options for my bunnies. Both of them have sinus issues, so finding a bedding that’s truly low-dust is really important—and this one makes a big difference. There’s no dust cloud when I pour it in, and I’ve noticed a lot less sneezing and irritation since I started using it.It’s soft, absorbent, and does a good job with odor control. I clean their space every day, but even between cleanings, it keeps things dry and fresh.     This is great bedding for dwarf hamsters but not Guinea pigs or large hamsters. The odor control only works for small hamsters. I have 2 hamsters and had Guinea pigs in the past and I can honestly say it works well for my winter white dwarf hamster. It never helped for my Guinea pigs and my new hamster a Syrian long haired hamster has his cage smelling in a few days no matter how clean I keep the bedding.

    When I was young I used shredded paper. Then it would get stuck to the cage and I’d have to regularly hose down my cage. This bedding is more expensive but has a lot more absorbency so when you clean the cage just scoop out the bad bedding and dump the new stuff in. Love that it comes in fun colors. Worth the price. I clean my entire cage weekly. So I use this whole bag in 2 weeks. This bedding is very soft but gets softer the more they use it. I use this with a dwarf hamster.

    Very high quality paper bedding that expands to a much larger volume when crumbled by hand! It’s a bit of a laborious process to fluff all the bedding up, but the 72L bag provided about 5″ deep bedding in my 40″x20″x20″ enclosure. My mice love this as nesting material along with some facial tissue paper. The white color makes it easier to identify soiled bedding when spot cleaning. This bedding does hold burrows well, too! Good value as well for the expanded volume you get.

    We used this for a while for our rats. A little bit goes a long way as far as how much you need to put in the cage. I will say that it does nothing for the smell though. This might be better to use with rabbit or other small animals I just do not think it was right for what we were using it for.
