Very high quality cooker and base. Especially like the hooks inside to mount the basket – here in Maine we STEAM lobster and clams; we don’t boil them – so the basket stays above the water and therefore out of the water. Perfect.Haven’t used it to fry anything, but I’m certain it’ll be appropriate for that.

I bought this set for my husband. His brother came to visit and brought a bunch of fish he caught over the summer. To avoid him bringing his fryer to and from we figure we might as well invest in one. We love the ability to use the smaller pan. Cat fish, colossal shrimp and fries! I bought it for frying a turkey. Worked perfectly and heated faster than I anticipated. It cleans out very nicely to the point of looking new again. It’s kind of a pain to funnel the oil back into a container but I kind of figured that would be the case before buying it. My only suggestion would be to make the smaller pot slightly smaller so it can rest in the larger pot for storage. I’ve used this now for turkey, chicken legs, and chicken thighs. I’m quite happy with this purchase.

We purchase the cheap green covers but this year I purchased this BBQ grill cover and right out of the box I was already impressed with the sheer quality of the product. This includes Velcro style straps and a draw cord. The dark color keeps the metal very cool when not in use and the material is not crumbly like those cheap one season grill covers. Works great and is very good quality. Material seems to be good waterproofing quality. Not super thick but seems very durable. I accidentally hit it with a weed-eater and it did not rip. I have had the product for 6 months so far and it has not faded yet. Easy to install, only note I would add is do NOT completely tighten one side of velcro before tightening the other side – leave one side slightly loose and once you velcro the opposite side, both sides will be equally tight

When I first installed the cover, I imagine I did it wrong. Blew off. Since taking more time to install the cover correctly, it has been on for months and stays even in high, gusty winds.

Wife bought these for roasting vegetables on the grill. I’ve used them several times and love the taste.Be aware, monitor your grill when using these, they need to be rotated throughout the cook. If you let them set to long you will burn the veggies.

Does exactly what is tells you it will do. Smoked meats come out great.Cleaning the inside of the bag is pretty easy. The outside of the bag cleaning is impossible. Mine leaked through and I’ve tried everything including soaking it for a while and it won’t come clean. I’m concerned over time the bag will start to smell bad. I guess when it does I’ll trash it.

Hands down the best turkey I have ever made! I have made a Thanksgiving turkey in a lot of ways but never fried one. I had ordered one over a decade ago from a well known restaurant in the area and my family enjoyed it and thought it was really good but let me tell you I think the one I fried this year actually surpassed that one and I am not a professional culinary expert, just a mom who enjoys cooking for her family ! I used a cajun style dry rub for the outside and inside of the bird and then a butter and herb blend that I made to inject the bird. I actually made two smaller birds and one was frozen and the other was fresh because I wanted to see if I could taste any difference. I honestly think the fresh bird is the way to go. However, that said both of them turned out better than any other bird I have cooked over the last three decades of cooking them for the holidays. I have put them in a paper bag with oil and melted butter over the bag, upside down, dry brined, wet brined, you name it I have probably done it! I have never smoked a turkey tho. I think I might try that next but I will definetely continue to fry my holiday turkey’s using this turkey fryer by Gas One. I suggest you give it a go! Make sure to use all safety measures and lay out all your cooking tools and take your time and do not rush the process! If using a frozen bird make sure to defrost fully and dry it out very well then season and rest in the fridge for two days prior to frying it. Do not overfill the fryer with too much oil and watch some tutorials on youtube beforehand. Also if you can have an assistant is always good but not necessary to Get Er Done! Yah Dig? But helpful for the first time you are using the fryer. Good Tip, but not a pro tip but it should be, once you get the oil temp to were it should be shut off the gas from both the regulator on the fryer and then the propane tank itself, then drop your turkey very slowly and once it has been completely submersed into the oil and at the very bottom, then you can turn on the gas from the tank and then open the regulator up 2 notches/levels and then light the burner back up again using your long lighter to reach that area under the pot. This is an extra safety precautionary measure. So if for some reason the oil flowed over and out of the pot there would be no open flame to ignite that oil spilling over. One of the youtuber’s ( I will try to go back to add their channel here) mentioned this and it is a very smart thing to do. Also say you thought the bird was completely defrosted that could cause some eruptions and oil being splattered out and ignite to an open flame. So just turn it off like I said and it only takes a few minutes to reopen the valves and relight it back up. No biggie or inconvenience to stay safe! Do not let that deter you but it must be said. Use your smarts and do not attempt to do this under the influence of anything that could impair your judgement. Also, this setup ca also be used for a new england lobster boil, frying fish, or anything you might cook in larger amounts for any sort of party or gathering. It is a very versatile item and also could be a source to cook on if you have a power outage and as long as you have propane tanks stored away, you good to go! So it’s an affordable item that is a small investment that I would highly recommend. (There is another one on Amazon that is a little less money but looks kind of flimsy, this is not , it is a very sturdy wide platform the pot sits upon.) We also used peanut oil for best flavor and highest smoke point as well. You can use another oil with a high smoke point if there is concern any concerns with nut allergies. I am so happy I made this purchase and it made mine and my son’s Thanksgiving a much better day because of it! When you have been targeted and purposely isolated from two of your three kids and nasty evil people are trying to cause you to be depressed and anything else bad they are continually trying to inflict upon you and throwing your way, sometimes it’s the little things like this that make your day better, some good food and Good Karma.

This steamer/ fryer combo is a great culinary addition to any kitchen. We have used ours to steam crab, clams, shrimp, fry a turkey, and a whole host of other carnival style snacks. The size was perfect for steaming with some slight modification to the smaller basket by removing the handle and placing it the large kettle upside down to create a base for the larger steam basket. Following use it cleans up very easily with soap and water and returns to is packaged size for easy storage. This product has held up well for us and we have used it many many times!

Arrived on time and in good condition. Unit works well, with nice lighted blue screen easy to see. You do need to watch because it’s easy to switch form Fahrenheit to Celsius. That indication is a little harder to see. But over-all a good buy for the money and yes, I would purchase this again!

To be honest……I was skeptical at first. I never found anything air fried as good as frying in oil. And boy was I wrong.We were looking for an alternative to the Butterball XL due to the cost of oil. My wife, a retired Registered Dietician, will never use oil more than once. Not once in the 50+ years I have known her. So, we do not fry all that often, but whatever we fry requires new oil.We started out many years ago with one of those outdoor pot fryers. Then we advanced to the indoor Butterball XL fryer. Much better than the mess with an open outdoor fryer. Back then you could actually get one for around 50 dollars on sale. Eventually we stopped using peanut oil and started using canola. Never really noticed the difference. Even with canola, as cheap as we can buy it, the cost was just south of 25 dollars to fill the Butterball. I noticed Amazon had this Big Easy for a low price….I always check the three Camels to be sure……..and I read some good reviews so we gave it a try.We followed the set up directions, rubbed oil and spices on a 6.5 pound hen, gave it a couple of hours in the fridge to dry out, and stuck it in the fryer with a Weber BT thermometer. At about 140 degrees I put on the top rack/crisper. I probably did not need to place it on so early because it blackened the fingers and toes. In around 2 hours, as prescribed, the Weber went off at 165 degrees.So we ate the bird and I can honestly say this was the best whole chicken we have ever cooked. Like in 50 years we ever cooked. The meat was unbelievable juicy. Skin was crisp. Just perfect. Apparently this fryer, from other reviews I have read, is gentile on the propane as well.We usually cook 2-3 turkeys over the Holidays. And 16 pounds or less is fine. So this year alone we will save 50-75 dollars on oil along with the waste that used oil produces. And, over the years, we have had pretty good luck with Char-Broil products.

I bought this for one sole purpose, to deep fried turkey at Thanksgiving. I hated the electric, oil deep fryer by Butterball ever since they came out with the new model. A slight touch to the electrical cord, the connector on the Butterball deep fryer would come off. I tossed that Butterball deep fryer and looked for another fryer. When I saw this oil less fryer and read the reviews on it, I bought it and used it last Thanksgiving. It was very easy to assemble and use. Hooked it up to a propane tank, turned it on and it’s good to go. One thing that I noticed though is that the cooking time took considerably longer than what I expected or heard from other people. For a 14 lbs turkey, I think it took me something like 5 hours to deep fried and have internal temp reaching 185. Now that I know roughly how long it took to fully cooked a 14 lbs turkey, I can compensate for the time accordingly next time. The bright side is that the turkey came out superb. The skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy. Best part is that I don’t have to spend the money on peanut oil to deep fried. Because there’s no oil, it’s healthier to deep fry in it.The basket that came with it can be a bit difficult to take the turkey out after cooking. I bought a collapsible basket that made it a bit easier to put the turkey in and remove after cooking, but I’m not wholly convinced if it was worth it. Neither basket is all that easy to clean by hand. I put them in the dish washer when I cleaned them, but I still scrubbed them down with a brillo pad first to remove as much of the stick on food.

This is the easiest to use turkey cooker we’ve ever had. We were skeptical, since no lid is needed, that the turkey would cook evenly and thoroughly but we were pleasantly surprised and impressed!! We followed the instructions to “season” the cooker before we cooked our bird and it performed perfectly. Clean up was easy since you just burn it off and dump out the ashes. Also the aluminum drip pan liner makes cleaning that part easy, I just wiped the grease out then washed the pan to reuse but you can also just throw it away. The ignitor worked the first time each time we fired it up. So far it’s been durable. I would definitely keep it away from walls and watch children and pets around it since it gets hot and a lid is not necessary. This information is in the manual and grilling recommendations that are included. Overall we feel it’s an excellent product performance wise and a good value for your money.

Love this thing!! Purchased it based on a neighbor’s recommendation. The chicken always come out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I ordered the accessories so I can fit more food in the basket at once. I have fried a turkey in it, received several compliments, it didn’t take too long and it wasn’t a huge mess.

These gloves are awesome! I bought these to go with my Green Egg. I read some of the reviews where they said they could feel the heat if you held it for a few minutes. I could not. First, I baked fish at 400 degree F. I used the gloves to pull the pan out and held it. And held it. No heat. I took it to show my husband that there was no heat coming through. So then we used it for our new green egg. We ran out of charcoal halfway through our smoking. I used the gloves to remove grill, drip pan, and deflector. I could slightly feel the heat from the deflector. After holding it for a minute, I quickly placed it down but my hands did not get hot yet, only warm. I am really glad I got these!

I bought these originally for canning, so I can put the jars in the boiling water without having to use the weird tongs. While the gloves definitely do protect from heat and water, you can always feel it, and the water does slowly seep in, meaning it’s not waterproof, just resistant. And the heat got too warm after about 20-30 seconds in boiling water. So while it did work, it’s not as great as they make it sound. For the price it’s okay, but if you’re not using it for quick bursts, such as dipping or reaching in, rather than continuing work such as constant grill work, I would look elsewhere.

The length is well-proportioned, making it suitable for reaching the back of the grill. The price is excellent, offering great value for the features provided. It delivers outstanding protection, effectively safeguarding hands and forearms from potential burnt. These things are awesome!!! I use them every time I BBQ. They’re great for rearranging things on the smoker to taking brisket, pork butt and chicken on/off the pit. They also make quick work of pulling pork and beef. The gloves are lined and fit my hands perfectly. I normally wear a size large/x-large in gloves. Clean up is easy. A couple drops of dishwashing liquid and wash your hands while wearing the gloves. Rinse them off and while very pliable and easy to use, they’ll sand up against the wall of the sink to dry.

To be honest……I was skeptical at first. I never found anything air fried as good as frying in oil. And boy was I wrong.We were looking for an alternative to the Butterball XL due to the cost of oil. My wife, a retired Registered Dietician, will never use oil more than once. Not once in the 50+ years I have known her. So, we do not fry all that often, but whatever we fry requires new oil.We started out many years ago with one of those outdoor pot fryers. Then we advanced to the indoor Butterball XL fryer. Much better than the mess with an open outdoor fryer. Back then you could actually get one for around 50 dollars on sale. Eventually we stopped using peanut oil and started using canola. Never really noticed the difference. Even with canola, as cheap as we can buy it, the cost was just south of 25 dollars to fill the Butterball. I noticed Amazon had this Big Easy for a low price….I always check the three Camels to be sure……..and I read some good reviews so we gave it a try.We followed the set up directions, rubbed oil and spices on a 6.5 pound hen, gave it a couple of hours in the fridge to dry out, and stuck it in the fryer with a Weber BT thermometer. At about 140 degrees I put on the top rack/crisper. I probably did not need to place it on so early because it blackened the fingers and toes. In around 2 hours, as prescribed, the Weber went off at 165 degrees.So we ate the bird and I can honestly say this was the best whole chicken we have ever cooked. Like in 50 years we ever cooked. The meat was unbelievable juicy. Skin was crisp. Just perfect. Apparently this fryer, from other reviews I have read, is gentile on the propane as well.We usually cook 2-3 turkeys over the Holidays. And 16 pounds or less is fine. So this year alone we will save 50-75 dollars on oil along with the waste that used oil produces. And, over the years, we have had pretty good luck with Char-Broil products.

I bought this for one sole purpose, to deep fried turkey at Thanksgiving. I hated the electric, oil deep fryer by Butterball ever since they came out with the new model. A slight touch to the electrical cord, the connector on the Butterball deep fryer would come off. I tossed that Butterball deep fryer and looked for another fryer. When I saw this oil less fryer and read the reviews on it, I bought it and used it last Thanksgiving. It was very easy to assemble and use. Hooked it up to a propane tank, turned it on and it’s good to go. One thing that I noticed though is that the cooking time took considerably longer than what I expected or heard from other people. For a 14 lbs turkey, I think it took me something like 5 hours to deep fried and have internal temp reaching 185. Now that I know roughly how long it took to fully cooked a 14 lbs turkey, I can compensate for the time accordingly next time. The bright side is that the turkey came out superb. The skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy. Best part is that I don’t have to spend the money on peanut oil to deep fried. Because there’s no oil, it’s healthier to deep fry in it.The basket that came with it can be a bit difficult to take the turkey out after cooking. I bought a collapsible basket that made it a bit easier to put the turkey in and remove after cooking, but I’m not wholly convinced if it was worth it. Neither basket is all that easy to clean by hand. I put them in the dish washer when I cleaned them, but I still scrubbed them down with a brillo pad first to remove as much of the stick on food.
