This was my first time buying plants online. I had been skeptical about buying plants sight unseen… and based on having things much sturdier than plants destroyed in shipping, had a hard time imagining them arriving the same as when they were boxed.I was totally impressed how thoughtful and effective their packing is. I’m sure nothing can be 100% safe from mishandling, but these arrived in absolute perfect condition.The plants themselves look so healthy and vibrant, and are actually larger/fuller than I was expecting.I’d give more than 5 stars if possible, and would absolutely buy from Costa Farms again. This set of 6 plants is a great deal.Included a pic of the two palms. I think these are even nicer than the ones shown on the product page.

I ordered these plants because when I was in the interior landscaping business, Costa Farms was known as an excellent grower of interior plants, and I used many of their products. When these small plants arrived, one had several brown leaves. However, I dropped it when I took it out of the box, so I didn’t want to complain, not being able to identify how much damage was already there and how much damage I did by dropping. Of course, the brown leaves were there, but my drop could have caused unseen damage. I removed the bad leaves and watered the plant and expected it to revive and do well. Another plant was totally wilted. But I watered it well, and it seemed to revive and looked good. The third plant was fine. I cared for the plants carefully, and I was one of the first 50 certified interior horticulturists in the nation, so I know how to care for indoor plants. Unfortunately, in spite of my best efforts, the two damaged plants died. I looked at the product description and saw a number for Costa Farms for a guarantee. I called that number, and the man I spoke with said Amazon was responsible for the guarantee. I explained that the Amazon website said Costa Farms was responsible and provided this number to call. He said that wasn’t right and gave me a number to call at Amazon. The man who answered said Costa Farms was responsible for the guarantee and gave me a number to call. I told him I had already called that number and the person answering gave me the number I was speaking to him on. He assured me that Costa Farms was responsible, and he would remind them of that. He told me he sent a message to Costa Farms reminding them about their guarantee and promised me someone from Costa would contact me to offer replacements for the two plants that died. I waited for several weeks before writing a review to give Costa Farms time to respond. Unfortunately, they never did. This was very disappointing to me, as the good opinion I had of the nursery from my years as an interior landscaper was tarnished by this. I don’t know whether their quality has deteriorated in the 25+ years since I dealt with them, whether they are better with the large plants we used in interior landscaping than the small plants in this order, or whether this was just a confusing glitch. Whatever caused it, this was a disappointment to me.

I bought the set of the Costa Farms Clean Air 3-Pack O2 For You Live House Plant Collection, White Decor Planter, Green, Yellow. It was priced at $28.99 when I bought it.I chose this set of 3 Plants because I am trying to add Plants to my home, especially in my bedroom that can produce more O2 and help clean and freshen the air.I received 3 different plants. 1 Snake Plant and 2 other Plants that I could not identify.I finally found out that 1 of the unidentifiable Plants was a False Aralia, but that one was dying when it got here and passed away quickly.The other Plant I still have not been able to identify, but it appears to be a thicker leaved plant, probably a type of succulent, and it is doing OK.The Snake plant, which is a succulent, is doing very well.I live in a cold climate, way up at the North end of the Idaho Panhandle. It was 32 degrees (freezing) the day the Plants actually arrived at my home. I was home, so these Plants went directly from a very cold UPS truck into my warm home.The Plants were packaged by the grower pretty well, in a sturdy box with a bamboo stakes in each pot to keep the top of the box from crushing down on the Plants. The plants themselves were each wrapped from the pot, up to the actual base of the Plant to contain the soil. Then, each plant was also wrapped in a thick paper cone to help insulate it. There was also 1 warming packet placed in the center of the group of 3 Plants to help them not freeze. It was still barely warm when I unboxed these Plants, so it did it’s job pretty well, at least for the 2 Succulent Plants. Not well enough for that False Aralia though.Upon arrival and unboxing of the 3 Plants, the False Aralia showed some leaf damage from the cold. I was hoping it would recover, but it didn’t.The other 2 Plants, the Snake Plant and the other unidentifiable Plant are both succulents, so I am guessing that succulents are actually a tiny bit more cold-tolerant than the delicate False Aralia Plant was.I would suggest that if you live in a cold climate and decide to order Plants in late Fall or Winter, just try to order succulents. When you order Plants that are the plants from a grower’s choice assortment of small foliage plants, you’ll probably end up getting1 or 2 that are more delicate and won’t survive the days of cold during shipping.NOTE: I ordered even more Snake Plants about the same time as I ordered this set of Plants. ALL of the Snake Plants arrived in good condition and are doing great now, even the big 2 foot ones!As far as quality of the Plants, they are, or were, all nice quality Plants. No bugs, mites or hitchhiking frogs or spiders on any of them!The little décor pots that they come in are thin plastic, but they are very good looking and I am happy with that.My problem was really just a cold weather issue for the poor, non-cold tolerant, False Aralia Plant.I do wish that each Plant would be identified. I know there are photos on the ad that show some of the Assorted Plants you may receive, but one of the ones I got is not in ANY of those photos, and I still can’t figure out what it is! But it is a nice Plant with thicker leaves and it seems to like similar care as the Snake Plants do.I would totally order this set of Plants again, but with not knowing exactly what I’d be getting because they are a Growers Choice Assortment, I will need to wait until warmer weather returns before I can place another order.

Very happy with these plants. They appear to be very healthy. The box they came in was a bit crushed and only one plant was affected but I think I can save it.

Well, the plants are beautiful and the pasta they give you are cute. They do not give you enough dirt for the plant to fit in the pot. That is why they got a three out of five.

I ordered this exact bouquet maybe 5-6 times over a couple years, and those were great! The bouquets arrived looking exactly like the photo online.Unfortunately, I have ordered this exact bouquet twice in the last month for other people. I saw both of the bouquets that were sent, and they were NOT as pictured online. The one I sent last month had no sunflowers (which is the entire reason I wanted this bouquet). It just had a bunch of purple flowers in it and was not a pretty bouquet. And the bouquet I sent just yesterday was truly substandard — the friend who received it sent me a photo of it, and it has only about half of the flowers in it that are pictured on the website photo. The photo is honestly pathetic and it makes me very embarrassed that I sent such a meager bouquet to a good friend. The flowers are so sparse and so few that they honestly look ridiculous in that gigantic vase. It looks like they forgot to put in about 50% or 60% of the flowers that they normally send with this bouquet.I used to stand behind this company and their flowers, but after these last 2 experiences, I really cannot recommend them anymore. The flowers were mostly ok except for the sunflowers, they did not open. After putting the flowers in the vase and putting water up 1/4 way… about 15 minutes later the vase cracked around the lower area and water spilled all over. I put the flowers in another vase. I thought I took a picture of the broken vase but cannot find the picture

UPDATE: I reached out to Costa about the horrendous state my plant was when it arrived. They were kind in their response, and immediately sent out a replacement plant. It arrived yesterday, and it is in perfect condition, save a couple of (expected) broken leaves from shipping. It’s fully alive and well, and looks waaaaaaay better than the first plant I received (which continues on its death march – I’d hoped the small part that appeared still alive would fight to live, but alas and alack, it’s continuing to die off). I am VERY happy with the replacement plant, it looks very healthy (no brown leaves, no funky smell) so I’m very confident it will continue to thrive. Major kudos to Costa’s guarantee – they do indeed honor it, so for those that have also had the bad luck of getting a bad plant, be sure to reach out to them and they will make it right. Changing my rating to 5 stars. Thank you, Costa!Original Review:Disappointed that the money tree arrived half dead and sickly. Half the leaves are shriveled – but not dry shriveled like they were out of water too long, but wet shriveled like they were kept in the dark with too much moisture for too long, if that makes sense. The healthiest of the leaves were broken clean off. The plant overall looks super sad and definitely not good. I reached out to Costa to find out what my options are since this is not returnable to Amazon, but Costa supposedly has a guarantee. I’ve gotten radio silence on their end. Not happy. Will revise this review if I ever hear from them on this fiasco. I bought 3 plants at the same time from Costa – the other two are perfect, this one is the problematic/dead one. Such a bummer!

Came in fabulous condition. Leaves are green and doing healthy. Also comes with a free app subscription to Greg. This money tree is gorgeous, but no thick dollar bills have grown from this yet. I keep waiting 🙂

Over the past 10 months, I have purchased 3 Money Tree plants (in Jan, Apr, Oct of 2025) AND ALL HAVE DIED! Furthermore, I have purchased a total of 14 plants and trees through Amazon (and in some cases The Home Depot). All grown by and shipped directly from COSTA FARMS. Unfortunately, with the exception of two plants (one of which is still struggling), ALL HAVE DIED WITHIN WEEKS OR A FEW MONTHS OF ARRIVAL. Please note that I have successfully maintained healthy houseplants for over 40 years, so this experience is unusual for me.The plants from COSTA FARMS always arrive looking beautiful, pretty much like the photos used on the Amazon site above used to sell you the plant, but soon after arrival, they begin to deteriorate—losing leaves and declining rapidly. I suspect this may be due to intensive fertilization during cultivation. Then go into shock once they leave the facility at COSTA FARMS which leads to their death. Notably, the plants never COMPLETELY die within the 30-day return window, making it difficult to claim a refund. THE PHOTO I HAVE PROVIDED OF THE MONEY TREE WAS TAKEN LESS THEN 30 DAYS AFTER IT ARRIVED AT MY HOME. IT LOOKED LIKE THE PHOTO ABOVE ON THE AMAZON SITE TO SELL IT WHEN IT ARRIVED. And disappointingly this is also EXACTLY what the 2 previous Money Trees did soon after their arrival after being grown and shipped directly from COSTA FARMS. Unfortunately for the first 2 I missed the Amazon 30-day return window because I wasted time following COSTA FARMS instructions trying to save the plant. So I was out the high cost of the plant. So, BEWARE, if you purchase a plant through a vendor that works with COSTA FARMS and that plant or tree is shipped directly from COSTA FARMS and you notice the plant or tree showing signs of decline within the first 25 days, I HIGHLY recommend based on my numerous and repeated personal experiences with COSTA FARMS plants and trees, that you begin initiating a return or refund request immediately because your plant or tree will die soon. Otherwise, you risk losing both the plant and your investment.My attempts to resolve these issues directly with Costa Farms have repeatedly been unsuccessful. They consistently refer me back to the third-party vendors (Amazon or Home Depot) and have refused to replace or refund any plants, citing their policy. I am therefore convinced that COSTA FARMS is just running off of SCAMMING CONSUMERS. I have talked with them directly numerous times and NOT ONCE have they been willing to replace their unhealthy plants. They hide behind the 3rd party vendors (Amazon and Home Depot are 2 I have used) that they go through so they can successfully SCAM THE CONSUMER and refuse to accept responsibility in any way. They have always REFUSED to replace or refund my $$$ claiming it’s their POLICY to make the consumer (me) request refund through the 3rd party vendor (Amazon in this case. Home Depot in other cases of mine). Fortunately, this time I was ON TOP OF THE RETURN WINDOW and as it was now obvious my Money Tree was definitely dying – I requested my REFUND within the 30-day refund window with Amazon. But I did talk with COSTA FARMS first – who again REFUSED to stand by their product.Based on my repeated negative experiences, I advise caution when purchasing plants supplied by COSTA FARMS online. I’m convinced that despite following all care instructions and having a long history of successful plant care, I have been disappointed multiple times with plants from COSTA FARMS. Another disappointing plant that I recently purchased and is currently dying (I purchased through The Home Depot – but was grown and delivered to me directly from COSTA FARMS) is the Boston Fern. It started shedding its leaves off the vines immediately. I’ve successfully grown Boston Ferns for the past 25 years. But there is nothing I can do to help this one. (I’m providing a pic of this Boston Fern too for your reference. It was DOUBLE this size when it arrived at my home approx. 45 days ago from COSTA FARMS). It is definitely dying. I again called COSTA FARMS (today 11/17/25)- which finally prompted me to leave this REVIEW regarding many of their plants because of the FACT that they are ONCE AGAIN refusing to stand by their poor-quality plants and are refusing to replace or refund me the high price of it. Citing their company policy, they instructed me to contact The Home Depot for the refund.

It’s a testament to how well this plant was packaged that it even survived our UPS driver let alone only lost about 15 leaves/stems. The plant is bigger than I envisioned, extraordinarily healthy and exceeds my expectations, especially after looking at the box that it was delivered in and considering a 30 pound box was stacked on top of it with it lying on its side. Obviously this is a UPS problem and NOT the fault of the grower. I see no signs of insects and it seemingly has a good root structure, but I guess we’ll see but first impressions are that this was a smart purchase!

The 4 star rating is for two reasons. #1 The vase is quite plain, and not very attractive. #2 There was no way to include a note/card. After all, no one sends flowers to themselves.

These flowers look even better than in the pictures! 2+ weeks later, this is how they look! How do these not have a better rating?! They should be off the charts. I originally got these for my aunt as a “just because” gift and now it’s turned into my entire family wants to use Benchmark Bouquets for every single occasion! Reasonably priced, delivered fresh, they last forever… what more could you ask for?

This bouquet was absolutely beautiful. We chose the pink roses with the lilies. They came so fresh with a few lilies in full bloom and others still too open. I’m sure we’ll be enjoying this for many many days. I am very pleased. The recipient was so impressed with these beautiful flowers

I ordered on the 6th, arrived on the 11th. Took a little time but product is great. Roses are now full bloom and Lillys are coming on strong on the 17th. Scent is great.

These flowers were delivered to the wrong address (our office instead of our client’s home), despite multiple efforts to make certain the delivery order was correct and only went to the client’s address. It is not the arrangement pictured on your site. The quality was deplorable. The flowers were in very bad shape and the vase was way too big for the bouquet. 0 Stars. I will never use Amazon for flowers again (and I ordered numerous arrangements throughout the year).

The plant arrived shriveled with the leaves dry and falling off. I gave it a touch of water as the soil was not moist, I then let it settle in for a day. This morning it was as dead as can be, any hint of green that it came with was totally gone. This is my 4th Costa plant. The 1st was a gift and is a lovely healthy ponytail cactus. My 2 other purchases are doing well and arrived in perfect health. So that only is 1 in 4 that had an issue. I contacted customer service and they have already processed my credit. I may buy from Costa again, just not another Fiddle Leaf Fig.

Very happy with this purchase. The plant arrived looking healthy with moist soil and a beautiful color. Good size and the decorative pot is plastic but nice looking. The package could have been a little better to stabilize the plant more. However, even if the packaging was damaged, the plant wasn’t damaged. The price is a little high compared to a local nursery or even Costco, but overall happy with the purchase.

My first time buying a live plant online and it was a good experience! The fiddle leaf fig arrived well packaged and undamaged. It seems quite healthy and acclimated with only minor leaf drop. It has been growing nicely in the just 2 weeks we’ve had it.

Waited a few days before writing this review. Packaging was great! Plant arrived in great condition. Lost a few leaves from the bottom of the plant. No big deal. I’d like to know if I should repot it or if it’s okay for now in it’s original pot. So far so good after two weeks

I have ordered many plants fromCosta farms and they are usually in great shape. This one, not so much, it came with a lot of brown spots, leaves falling off, and you can tell it had been treated with stuff as it has a white powder all over it. (This is after I repotted and rinsed plant and you can still see it.) I’m disappointed.

I just bought the Costa Farms Premium Sansevieria, Live Indoor Snake Plant, Ships in Decor Planter, 2-Feet Tall.I am so totally happy with my attractive new Snake Plant! I received one of the ones that has the variegated, gold edged leaves.My plant is tall! It actually measures 33 inches tall from the bottom of it’s décor pot to the tip of the tallest leaf.The Plant arrived quicker than I had expected, and it was packaged quite well.The shipping box did sustain a bit of damage by UPS, but the Plant, and it’s nice looking container inside, arrived with just a few tips bent on the Plant. The décor container did get a bit misshaped, but it went back into shape after a few hours out of that box in a warmer room.The Snake Plant was packaged very well, with plastic wrap pulled snug around the base of the Plant to about half way down the inner black pot, to keep most of the soil from spilling out. Then, the Plant and the black pot it is growing in, were put into a big, thick paper cone, which was then put into the décor pot.There was a long, sturdy bamboo stake in the black growing pot, right beside the Plant, to help keep the top of the box from being crushed into the Plant. That stake did appear to work very well because the box was damaged at the top and the stake was cracked, but the Plant did not get crushed and was pretty much fine except for a few bent tips.This Plant was also shipped with a decent sized disposable warmer, somewhat like one of those disposable pocket hand warmers.I live at the far north end of the Idaho Panhandle. Yesterday, when my Snake Plant arrived, it was snowing and around 31 degrees outside. I met the UPS guy at my door, so the Plant did not sit out on my porch at all. The box did feel quite cold, as the UPS trucks up here are not heated. But I believe that the heating pack that was shipped in with the Plant was warm enough, and lasted long enough, for the Plant to not be injured by the cold. The pack was still warm when I unboxed the Plant. The thick paper cone also helped to insulate the Plant too.So far my attractive new Snake plant looks to be in great condition! The soil was still fairly damp when I received it, so I did not water it yet.After letting this Plant sit in my kitchen sink for about 8 hours to slowly get back up to a decent temp, and for me to check for any hitch-hiking spiders, frogs or mice, the Snake Plant is now residing in my 64 degree bedroom, hopefully giving off some wonderful oxygen in there, which is why I bought the Snake Plant in the 1st place.Time will tell, but so far I am extremely happy with this Snake Plant and it appears that it was not damaged by it’s cold winter ride to my home!I will certainly be buying more Plants from this Costa Farms!UPDATE 12/11/2021:After getting this 1st 2 Ft. Snake plant, I decided to order a 2nd one for my bedroom for extra oxygen. It also arrived safety last week, in the middle of a light snow storm here in North Idaho. It also had the heat packs and arrived undamaged and healthy. It’s about as tall as the 1st one and it is just as beautiful. I am so happy with these pretty Snake Plants. These Plants sure do not remind me of Snakes. They actually remind me of underwater Kelp.UPDATE 03/15/2022:Both of my 2 foot tall Snake Plants in their décor pots are doing very well. One is in my bedroom, giving me oxygen at night and beauty during the day. The other one was supposed to also go in my bedroom, but it looks so nice in the living-room that I have just kept it there. So, now I am back to buy a 3’d large Snake Plant. I am super happy with these plants.UPDATE 08/10/2023:Both of my 2 foot tall Snake Plants are still doing fantastic! They have even grown another 1.5 inches tall and have had young shoots pop up to fill the pots more.I did buy another of these 2 foot tall snake plants, but it got quite abused during transit with UPS and arrived in less that desirable condition with half the plant missing and loose soil all in the box! It looks like the plant had come out of it’s box, and was yanked out of it’s pot! Someone roughly stuffed it back in its pot and lost a large portion of it. And then they repackaged the plant upside down in it’s box, so it traveled upside down the rest of the way to my home.I contacted Costa farms and they sent out a replacement, but that one also got abused. I think UPS delivery persons may dislike delivering plants in winter. Anyway, it and the one it replaced are still alive, but they had a lot of damage and are not near as nice looking as my 1st 2 Snake plants.I think from now on I will buy smaller Snake Plants as those seem to survive shipping better that these tall ones. Anyway, I am still extremely happy with ALL may Snake Plants and I have been enjoying the wonderful oxygen they produce for me in my bedroom. And yes, I do have a decent LED Grow light in there for them and it all works very well for me.

Arrived in very perfect healthy colorful yellow and green condition. The variety I received is Laurentii (yellow edges on the leaves) and the size is exactly as described. Very fast shipping. You can trust this seller. The prices are fair and quality is above and beyond. Just don’t ever order tropical plants when the temperature in your area is below 32F or you may get a frozen disappointment. Order when the lowest night time temp in your area is in the mid 50’s or above. Even heat packs in the shipping box is no guarantee from freezing solid.

My Snake plant is a beautiful, perfect plant. Looks very healthy with large leaves in great shape. Much better than anything I have seen in stores. It was delivered earlier than expected and was well protected. I highly recommend this company for plants.

I have had mine for several months and it is beautiful. I give them as housewarming gifts. Great for your air in your home. High quality and so pretty. Very easy to take care of.

My plants arrived in excellent condition & were easy to plant into containers. I am impressed with how healthy they are and bright green colors. They were well prepared for shipping. Overall the plants were in exceptional condition.

I am writing this review about a month after receiving my plants. They are thriving and I am an amateur with no green thumb. This was the first time I have ever purchased a plant online, so I was a bit leery, but they were a great buy. They come in small plastic nursery pots and need transplanted upon arrival. They arrived quite dried out inside a paper bag and staked into the pot for stability. Two were slightly burnt on the tips but otherwise good condition. Two were dark green with yellow speckles and more leafy and two were very thick green leaves with yellow rims. You will need at least a six inch pot for transfer and well draining soil specifically for snake plants for them to thrive. Once I repotted them, I bottom watered them for about ten minutes, just enough to let the soil become moist, as I read that root rot is the most common killer after transplant. These plants are a good experience for a beginner and would make a great present too. I recommend purchasing a simple moisture meter as well, it is much easier than sticking your finger in and guessing. I am happy with my purchase.

I sent these to my goddaughter when she recently moved into her first apartment. They turned out absolutely beautiful! Couldn’t have been more impressed when she sent me the picture. Top quality and they lasted almost 2 weeks.

I hate to write this review because another item from the same company was a 5-star quality bouquet. However, these sunflowers, which were received on the same day, Friday 19 September 2025, were completely inadequate, for two reasons: (1) they arrived shriveled and did not improve after trimming and sitting in wetting solution; and (2) on Monday 22 September, a cloud of gnats were hovering around each flower (suggesting an infestation of eggs).We did not notice any damage to the packaging.

Never order from this company “Benchmark Bouquets” ever again. Once you put the item in your cart it does give the chance to put in an address and once you click one time it processed the order and sent to my home address from my previous orders. Then right after that you try to click on cancel to cancel the order it says this is not eligible for return.Then when you click on the same item again from Benchmark Bouquests it will work correctly and let you select an address, so this company now got 2 sales/purchases from me and when lookup the tracking the tracking is incorrect they put the same delivery results in both tracking orders and now only one package has arrived and the other one is still missing.

I live in Texas, the beautiful recipient in a northern tier state.In the thank you email, she said that they hadn’t opened as of yet.A week later she repeated her thank you note as they had burst open with golden beauty.

The box was out for delivery since early in the morning. It didn’t arrive until late afternoon, so it was probably in the hot vehicle all day. The flowers didn’t look good when I took them out of the box, and today when I looked at them, they were all wilted and sagging. The flowers come in a cardboard box with a vase. They do not come in a vase filled with water. I was quite and surprised by this product because I’d ordered it once before and it was fine.

The flowers recieved were neither the quantity nor the quality as advertised.

Don’t waste your time or money. The flowers arrived a day late and most were wilted. And the next day they all are wilted.
