  • Bought the 96GB (2×48) Awesome
Installed perfectly in my mini PC now I have 96GB of DDR5 RAM. A excellent addition to my Mini forum AMD Ryzen 7 8845. Tried it on Some high demand games with out a flicker. I purchased the mini PC and Ram to speed up the processing of my 3D scanning my old computer had 32GB and was maxed at that. What used to lock up my PC or take nearly an hour to compile all the point clouds is done in less then 15 to 20 seconds. Love’in it????????????????????
  • Huge Performance Boost for My Lenovo Gaming Laptop
I installed this Crucial 32GB DDR5 kit in my Lenovo gaming laptop, and the upgrade made a massive difference right away. Games load faster, multitasking is smoother, and overall performance feels way more responsive. The SODIMM sticks were easy to install, instantly recognized, and ran perfectly at the rated speed.Whether I’m gaming, streaming, or running multiple apps, everything feels quicker and more stable. Crucial is always reliable, and this kit is no exception. If you want an affordable but powerful upgrade for a DDR5 laptop, this is a great choice. Highly recommended!
  • Excellent memory expansion!
I bought these to put in my Beelink miniPC. Working with Cubase (a Digital Audio Workstation program) and digital audio files requires a lot of RAM. These fit in perfectly and easily so swapping out the smaller RAM that came with the miniPC and installing these took all of 2 minutes once I got the cover off the miniPC. Great if you keep running up against RAM limitations with software that you’re trying to run.
  • 64G RAM install in HP Laptop
Delivery was quick. After I watched a video on YouTube for removal of old RAM units and installation of new RAM kit for my laptop, it was quick and easy. I had to give my HP laptop a little time to start up and accept the RAM (There was a quick CMOS notice). New RAM appears to have improved the speed of my laptop. Working great
  • 5/5 Stars!
Modules clock at advertised 5600 MHz in Windows task manager (task manager however may only be showing the manufacturer registered values and not the actual system base clock for the module, which could actually be somewhere lower around 5200 MHz!!)
  • Unlimited Browser Tabs.
I have a problem. I keep every Browser Tab open forever. I say to myself, leave the tab open, you’ll go back to it eventually. However, we all know that tab will just be there chewing up memory for the rest of my life.I was at 16GB and my Tab hoarding tendencies were bogging down my laptop. Here’s where extra memory helps. I doubled it to the 32GB kit and bam, no more issues. Now my laptop is running nice and smooth.Yes, I only fixed the symptom to the problem, but the issue is fixed for now… Until they come up with an anti Tab hoarding pill, this is my only solution.
  • This memory supercharged my MSI Raider.
This memory worked well in my MSI Raider GE76. Installed perfectly and is holding up. You won’t regret buying this. I use the laptop for gaming and it really perked up when I installed this set. Go ahead, you owe it to yourself to upgrade that laptop!
  • worked perfect in my MSI 5070ti laptop
worked perfect in my MSI 5070ti laptop. If i had known the price of ram would sky rocket I would have bought a second set to use as a down payment on a house later. This was 79$ when I bought it

  • Great WD Hard drive – Free Software Sucks
You can’t go wrong with Western Digital. Very small package for huge storage. Plug and Play – connected the USB cable, (included) and my computer immediately recognized it. The portable drive is larger than the drive on my laptop, so I partitioned it into 2 virtual drives. One partition for an Image/Backup and a second partition for file backup & storage. The partitioning process was flawless and now my computer recognizes two separate drives. I am super happy with the WD SSD portable drive. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a portable drive. I’m even thinking about buying another larger drive and partitioning into more virtual drives for backup of other computers. My only complaint and major disappointment with WD, is that the free “WD Backup” software is no longer supported by WD and hasn’t been for a few years. They offer a free version of Acronis, which doesn’t work. Installed the Acronis software, created a bootable disk on a USB Flash (thumb) drive, then rebooted the computer from the thumb drive and created a full backup/ disk image to the new WD drive. The software seemed to run perfectly, and said the backup was successfully created. I felt really good that I had a full backup of my 2015 laptop, in case I ever need to replace the mechanical HDD. But it was a false peace of mind.Only 2 weeks after using the Acronis backup software, my computer was crashing shortly after bootup, which it had never done before. So I thought I would test the new drive and backup. After rebooting with the Acronis USB Boot drive, it asked for the location of the image file. The computer recognized the WD drive with all of the Acronis backup folders. But then the Acronis software said all of the folders were empty and there was No Image found. WTF?! Acronis said it successfully made a full disk copy. But then the software could not find its own image.DO NOT USE the ACRONIS software.I was fortunately able to fix the boot/crash problem using other software. But if my hard drive had completely failed, I would not have a usable backup copy to restore to a new drive. I would have been screwed. It would have been better if I never attempting to create a backup. At least I would known that I didn’t have a backup copy to rely on, rather than falsely thinking I was protected. In addition, the “free” software isn’t really free. It’s only a 30 day free Trial version. So if you make a full backup within 30 days, and later have a critical problem, you will be forced to purchase the full version to perform the restore. The backup file versions are propitiatory, so you can’t use another brand of software to do the restore. They’ve got you! You can make a free backup/copy (if you can even get the software to work properly). But then you have to pay for the software to actually use the Backup in order to Restore. This is akin Ransomware.I have since purchased other backup/imaging software and made a full (working) backup to my new WD drive. I’m very happy about that.
  • Perfect
Perfected to use and set up for my Mac!. No problems, just the way it should be.
  • Reliable and Secure Storage!
I bought the WD 5TB My Passport Portable External Hard Drive because I don’t completely trust cloud storage, and this has been the perfect solution. It’s compact, fast, and easy to use, with plenty of space for all my files, photos, and backups. The transfer speed is great, and I love knowing my data is safe and accessible anytime without depending on the internet. A solid, dependable drive for anyone who prefers physical storage peace of mind!
  • Great general use drive – portable and reliable – maybe a tad bit slower than I’d like
Inexpensive backup! I typically use a combination of hard drives for my photography backups. For important stuff like weddings, I only use solid state drives, but for my everyday photos like kids sports or travel, I don’t mind using a mechanical drive. The thing I consider when buying one of these is the price per GB. I use a high-resolution 61 MP camera and usually keep both RAW and JPG copies. My RAW files can be 80GB per image or higher, so I fill these up fast. This is a great alternative option to buying SSDs which are currently double the price. This is my second one from WD and I’m pleased with the size and stability of the drive. It’s just a bit thicker than my SSDs but still easily portable for when I’m on the road. The drive runs extremely quiet too and I don’t notice a lot of heat when I’m using it. Connection is simple, just plug and play for Window or Mac.The speed isn’t great. Obviously, no challenge to a SSD which is lightning fast for me, but I think the speed on this could be a bit faster. Granted, my files are big and 5TB allows for a lot of folders and files, but I feel like it drags a little bit when I open my Finder. I’m using this on a Mac Studio M2.I haven’t had any issues with WD drives failing in the past, so I do trust that this will last quite a while. As I mentioned before, I wouldn’t put critical files on it unless I had another backup copy somewhere. But for general use, portability, and storage amount, this works great.I never use the software that comes preloaded on the drives, so I can’t speak to that. I’ve heard that it’s no good anyway, but it’s basically not an issue. I typically delete anything pre-loaded anyway.

  • 8TB of Space for Under $150 (at my time of purchase)
So far 5 stars. The real rating of a HDD comes with time of course. Bought to expand the storage of my Plex server. I’ll be spending A LOT of time trying to fill this thing. I had under 1TB of Plex media to begin with, and even adding dozens of shows since getting this hasn’t even put a dent in it! That being said, that’s not something above average for the device and it will have that amount of space no matter who buys it lol Very hefty drive, and feels like it means business. Slid right in to my older Optiplex machine and got Windows installed on it just fine. Works great so far, but as I said, time will tell of course.
  • FAILED PRODUCT
I received the HDD happy to use it and when I unpacked it, IT DID NOT FUNCTION.It was dead, no matter how much I tried to revive it, it never functioned. What a pain, since I live outside of US, I had to pay for stamps, Insurance, certification in order to send it back to US.The worst part is that Amazon does not provide a way to send back a failed product to US. It, used to be that they had a procedure, no only drop off boxes. So I had to talk to a person -in India- for about an hour, to make her understand, that in this country they don’t have the boxes, and that I had to send bu traditional mail. Finally, I had to give her an address where the product was supposed to be delivered in US, and finally she understood. So she sent, by mail. the documentation in order to proceed. I don’t know why they -amazon- since they say are an international company, why the eliminated the procedure to send a failed product from outside the US.Finally I want the money back from my product. PLEASE. ASAP. They say that it can take up to three months. INCREDIBLEPLEASE MY MONEY BACK.
  • Good Bulk Storage Drive, But Not for Speed-Demanding Tasks
Good Bulk Storage Drive, But Not for Speed-Demanding TasksThe Seagate BarraCuda 4TB is a solid, budget-friendly option if you need a lot of space in a desktop PC. I’ve used several of these drives over the years, mainly for mass storage of media files, backups, and general data. At this price point, you get reliable capacity without breaking the bank.Installation is straightforward—it’s a standard 3.5″ SATA drive, so as long as your case has a bay and your PSU has a SATA power connector, you’re set. Seagate’s DiscWizard software also makes cloning an old drive onto this one relatively painless if you’re upgrading.Performance is what you’d expect from a 5400 RPM HDD: perfectly fine for general storage, but not ideal for heavy workloads like video editing, running games directly, or OS installs. You’ll notice slower load times compared to SSDs or even 7200 RPM drives. Still, with a large 256MB cache, it handles streaming media and bulk file transfers decently.Reliability has been good in my experience. I’ve had these run 24/7 in desktops and home servers for years without failure, though like any mechanical drive, they can be hit-or-miss—so pairing them with a backup strategy is important.Bottom line: A dependable, high-capacity storage drive at a fair price. Best suited for bulk storage, backups, and media libraries—not as a primary drive for speed-intensive tasks.
  • Reliable, Quiet, Mass Backup Storage
I’m using this 4TB BarraCuda drive purely as my backup storage/archive, and it performs exactly as needed. The 5400 RPM speed isn’t blazing fast, but it’s perfect for bulk storage where reliability matters more than speed. It runs quietly inside my PC case and offers a huge amount of space for photos, videos, and system images. It was easy to install and hasn’t given me any issues.Great value for reliable, high-capacity, secondary storage.

  • Fast, Reliable, and Super Portable!
The Samsung T7 SSD is fantastic! It’s lightning fast for transfers, super compact, and easy to carry anywhere. The 1TB capacity holds plenty of files, photos, and videos, and it works seamlessly with my laptop. I love how durable and sleek it feels, and it stays cool even during big transfers. Perfect for backups, work, or travel—definitely worth it if you need speed and reliability in a portable drive.
  • Huge speed boost for my older Mac — worth every penny
I bought the Samsung T7 2TB portable SSD mainly to give my older 2017 Mac a new lease on life. The internal 500GB platter style hard drive drive in that machine was painfully slow, so I set up macOS to run directly off the T7. The difference was night and day — boot times dropped to seconds, apps opened almost instantly, and overall the computer felt like a brand-new machine. Honestly, it sped things up exponentially compared to the stock drive.Beyond that, the T7 has been great for general storage and file transfers. It’s small, lightweight, and built solid with its aluminum casing, so I don’t worry about tossing it in my bag. Transfer speeds are fast enough that moving large projects doesn’t feel like a chore anymore, and I haven’t had any reliability issues. It also stays cool during everyday use, which isn’t always the case with portable SSDs.Compared to the older external hard drives I used before, this is in another league for both speed and portability. Against other portable SSDs, I think Samsung’s combination of performance and reliability is hard to beat at this price point. If you have an older computer that’s slowing you down, or you just need fast and dependable storage on the go, the T7 is an excellent choice. For me, it completely transformed the usability of my Mac and has become a tool I use every single day.
  • Great security
I’m not the most tech savvy and wanted backup on an external drive for graphics heavy work and photos. I remember the challenge of making my last external drive compatible and especially deleting old files, so I was a little anxious trying to find a solution. In case it helps someone else, I work primarily on an iPad Pro in a design program (Affinity) and needed a backup storage solution besides the Cloud. I didn’t really want a second cloud solution to be backup and can’t use an external drive with the iPad. I also have a MacBook, which has massive storage, but can’t be backed up to ICloud, while the ipad can backup to iCloud. My workaround for immediate file saving is to create shared files which are stored on iCloud (I call them Desktop) on the ipad. Desktop is stored on the hard drive of the MacBook and gets updated via ICloud device sharing even though I can’t initiate an iCloud backup from the MacBook.Inside Desktop I have labeled files as usual and a parent file for graphic design from the Ipad, broken down into 100+ named project files and sub files. Whenever I save from the ipad, I save to Desktop (in iCloud) and then choose the appropriate file within Desktop to save. This way I have the folders on the hard drive of the MacBook as interim backup, and am working around not having iCloud backup storage available when I’m on the MacBook. The T7 comes in as secure and portable physical data storage. The T7 drive is the hard copy backup of the files shared between the iPad and MacBook, I think necessary in case of some dreadful software issue, fire, or other unanticipated loss of access. I plan to have more than one as soon as I can afford it, to rotate.Again hopefully this may help someone like me who spent some solid hours figuring out a better way to secure my data and workaround the Mac user experience.Since I am wanted to do manual backups I needed the process to be easy so I wouldn’t avoid doing them, for obvious reasons. Though we don’t need to get into it here I don’t want to use Time Machine on my Mac to back up the disk. So I had to figure out something else. The T7 is great, easy to use, no time at all to install, self explanatory pretty much. I dragged folders full of work from the desktop (yes I like to see them, don’t judge) to backup. The initial backup was very quick and painless, most files were a few seconds. The graphics heavy files perhaps took about 10 minutes? These are massive, not a problem, and may have been quicker than this, I expected it to take more time. (My last iCloud backup was over 13 hours of anxiety – I kid you not and have since deleted almost all the working files from the drawing app after saving them in Desktop so they happen more quickly now, but still, I thought this was a daylong project).I experimented with dragging an old file to the trash from the T7 disk pane, and it worked as expected. I had to read online about how to go about copying my photos library (Mac) to disk, but it wasn’t hard. I have over 40,000 images, and it took about 20 minutes as I recall, if longer probably max 25. I tested the backup by remaining in the open pane and opening the photo files, which worked. Amazingly all this data barely touches the capacity of the drive, maybe 10% or less of a TB? Minuscule, anyway. 2 TB is overkill for me, especially since old files can easily be deleted.(This may be different for a user in Time Machine because it keeps multiple versions of your backups, and maybe more settings etc. which can take up a lot of space?- not tech savvy, as I said, but I had trouble with my older system and Time Machine and being unable to delete backups which rendered my backup disk unusable, and I didn’t want to deal with this again even though it’s less convenient to do it manually).I think the T7 drive will fail before I need more space, which is a great problem to have. I’m planning to get another disk (with less storage) and use it as a failsafe backup- ideally storing it in a safe or out of the house just in case, and keeping a rotation to protect against loss.On the critical end, I’d love it and think it would be much safer for data if the user pane of the T7 was visibly different from the one on my desktop. It’s the same color, font, everything, as my desktop window (maybe that’s just how these things work?), which makes me triple check when I’m deleting or updating. Don’t do this on a Friday night after an adult beverage….I’d also love it if there was a simple tutorial available when you opened the disk up, just for ease of first use, a how to (experimented with a throwaway file deleting because it wasn’t obvious that dragging files to the trash would work) for most, and as a reminder for others. I hesitate getting one for my parents because of this. But I’m happy and will buy another, looking forward to the peace of mind it gives me.
  • Fast, Portable SSD Lifesaver for M1 MacBook Air and M4 Mac Mini Storage Woes
I snagged the Samsung T7 Portable SSD (1TB, Gray) about five months ago from Amazon during a sale (~$90) to tackle storage limits on my 2020 MacBook Air M1 (16GB/256GB) and 2024 Mac mini M4 (16GB/256GB). As a web dev hobbyist training local AI models (e.g., Phi-3 Mini on my blog archives), I needed quick, reliable external space without slowing down my macOS Sequoia workflow. After reformatting to APFS in Disk Utility, it’s been a seamless daily driver—plug-and-play via USB-C, no Samsung software required. Here’s my experience from months of heavy use.Pros: Speed is the star—real-world reads/writes hit 850–950 MB/s direct into my Air’s USB-C or Mini’s Thunderbolt 4, blasting through 50GB ML datasets in under a minute (way faster than my old HDD). The 1TB capacity swallows backups, Python environments, and 4K video projects effortlessly, freeing my internals for active work. At pocket-sized (2.3 x 1.5 inches, 2 oz), it’s perfect for shuttling between my portable Air and stationary Mini—no bulk for coffee-shop coding. The gray metal body with rubber grip shrugs off desk bumps, and it stays cool during long transfers. On my UGREEN Revodok 105 hub (for the Air’s HDMI/charging setup), it runs stable via USB-A 3.0 (500 MB/s), but direct USB-C shines. Cross-platform? ExFAT default works great for Windows file shares with family. For the price, it’s unbeatable value—durable, encrypted (hardware AES 256-bit), and future-proof for Apple Silicon.Cons: Out-of-box exFAT is fine, but reformatting to APFS (GUID scheme) is a must for Mac optimization—takes 5 minutes in Disk Utility, but newbies might skip it and see slower speeds. Theoretical 1,050 MB/s drops a bit on M1 USB-C (due to single-lane limits), but still blazing vs. competitors. The short USB-C cable (6 inches) means desk cable management, and no IP rating for water (grab the T7 Shield if outdoorsy).Tip: For M1/M4 Macs, erase/reformat to APFS right away (Disk Utility >Erase >APFS, GUID). Connect direct to USB-C for max speed; use with a hub like UGREEN’s for multi-peripheral setups. Great for Time Machine—set it up in System Settings for automated backups. If sharing with Windows, stick to exFAT.This T7 is a no-brainer for Apple users needing portable power on a budget. It transformed my cramped setups into smooth-sailing storage havens. If you’re juggling AI data or creative files, buy it—you won’t regret!

  • Affordable Solution for Those File Hoarders Amongst Us
When I first bought a new laptop a few years ago, 237 GB of hard drive seemed like it would last forever. It wasn’t until recent times when trying to install my latest purchase of Far Cry 6 only to discover it required a whopping 60GB of memory and the available space on the current internal hard drive was but a sliver in comparison. Even after deleting or uninstalling everything I truly didn’t need, it still was not enough (Windows 10 itself is a memory hog), thus I had little choice except to buy a new computer or install a larger hard drive. A new laptop was economically out, especially when the current one was still running fine and I did not want to have to deal with installing another internal drive given the difficulty of placing one in even the larger confines of a desktop I had experienced years back. So, finding out external hard drives had now shrunk to a size where they wouldn’t take up too much space on a desk and actually be portable, I purchase the Maxone Ultra Slim Portable and so far, I’ve not been disappointed. At about 4 1/2″ in length and 3 1/2″ in width, the Maxone is definitely svelte and very unobtrusive next to the computer itself (though I keep it behind it). It is simple plug and play and connects to any available USB port with a standard cable (though one came with it). At about 18″ the supplied cable is kind of short, but seeing as how one will likely have the drive close to the computer, that is not really an issue and as stated, any similar, longer cords would work just as well. It is small enough that I can fit it into my laptop case with both the computer and mouse if I need to access something on the external drive away from home.Installing said video game took almost the better part of the day, but I think it had more to do with the size of the program, as well as the Steam download speed and less to do with the hard drive itself. I imagine transferring standard files, like photos and such, should prove to be faster, but so far, I’ve only used the Maxone for the game as I still have room for everything else on the computer itself. The game ran fine on the Maxone and didn’t crash once during the several weeks off and on it took me to complete it.Overall, I am satisfied with it and the value for the additional amount of memory. I will likely reserve the Maxone for downloaded games as until Moore’s Law catches up with programs and gaming graphics, it will likely be enough additional memory for my needs or at least until the graphics card in the laptop itself can no longer run the latest games. Though I may also eventually use it to back up some important files as failing to do so in the past was a tragic lesson I do not wish to repeat and thus, the Maxone would also be good for redundancy storage and I may eventually purchase another one for just that purpose exclusively.
  • Must have item
Good portable size I never had any software issues and this is my most priced possession now because I keep all my files here, great choice.
  • Easy to use and flexible to transport.
I bought it for a gift from my aunt and she loved it, it helps her a lot for school where she works her PC as it is so full of info she already only has an external hard drive and does not worry about the info since she can transport it with her because it is very finite and so she does not carry the laptop.
  • Good value for the money
I received the external hard drive on time and it arrived well packaged. It works great with 1 exception the indicator light on the hard drive doesn’t seem to work. I never lights up during transfer or when plug in to computer. It transfer data fast and I am using it to back up pictures and music for my computer and than store it in a fire safe. It came with the cable it is only like 6 inches a little longer would of been better but it gets the job done.
