Beautiful and fun edition to the Charlie Brown Christmas collection. The zoetrope is clear and precise and nice deviation from the colour and picture disc pressings.

The media could not be loaded. While several people say this Zoetrope LP doesn’t work, know that Zoetrope needs proper lighting—lots of lighting. To see the images come to life, one doesn’t simply play the record and that is it. The conditions have to be just right–bright light, focus, lower exposure and the correct frame are key to its success.In addition to bright light, setting the camera to focus on an area, locking the focus then lowering the exposure to help see the images dance. A frame rate of 30fps should be good.When you have all of the things mentioned above, you should be able to see just like in my video below.

I waited almost 2 months for this album.The zoetrope effect does not work.On side 1 the zoetrope overlay is not centered correctly, and is wobbly.Side 2 the zoetrope overlay is centered.Centered or not centered the effect does not work.I would not have purchased it had I known it was going to be one BIG blur while playing.The music plays, but I really don’t need another Charlie Brown Christmas Album.

This vinyl is beautiful, but I have to admit I’m disappointed in the zoetrope effect – or rather the lack of the effect. When playing the record, the at just turns into a blur and we’re unable to view it on a way that turns the art into animation… I took a video at 30 & 24 fps and neither looks right. I’m sharing the 24 fps video here as it’s marginally better than the 30 fps one

This vinyl was everything that I wanted and more! The sound quality is very clean and crisp, and the zoetrope image on the front of the vinyl represents Charlie Brown very well. At first I thought the zoetrope was broken, but in order to see the animation you must download a separate app (I used illumiscope), and after adjusting the settings the animation was very clear. I think that when advertising this the company could have been a little more clear that the animation is blurry without downloading a separate app, but overall this is a very good quality product. It is a holiday staple and I am glad that I was able to add this limited edition vinyl to my collection!

Brother Miles was miles ahead. The gold standard for jazz. I got the CD and so far no defects. Perfect to listen to at different levels, viz., as background or intently focus on the musicality. Just a beautiful copy of a seminal work.

If I were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one album, this would be it. I could listen to it for the rest of my life and still find new layers, moods, and magic in every track. It’s that good. Timeless, rich, and endlessly replayable.The CD comes in a paper sleeve, which I actually prefer. Sure, it’s not as armor-plated as a plastic jewel case, but it’s lighter, eco-friendlier, and ~ bonus ~ way less likely to arrive cracked like half my other Amazon CD orders. I’ll take a little wear over shattered plastic any day.Bottom line: this album is a masterpiece, and the packaging feels like a small nod to sustainability. Win-win.

I really love Laufey’s new album; it’s nearly perfect! However, I do have one issue: towards the end of the song “Sabotage,” during the climax, the music unexpectedly stops until you press the skip button. I’m not sure if its just my CD or not but either way I love it!

The album is great and the vinyl came in great condition. The vinyl is a bit more of a baby blue and not transparent, so the picture isn’t super accurate, but it looks great.

1920’s jazz, hard to find modern performances and sound. The Nighthawks are A1. He did soundtrack for Boardwalk Empire. Really fun to listen to.

If you love great Christmas music… I’d highly recommend this CD. Herb Alpert is an international treasure and at age 90 adds another wonderful collection of music to his catalog. Only wish it would have been longer…just 30 minutes but still a welcome addition to my music library

Like most people of my generation, I grew up watching A Charlie Brown Christmas every year when it came on. I never thought anything of the soundtrack beyond its function as background music to the story. So it’s a surprise to hear it by itself without the cartoon, as pure music.It never occurred to me that this isn’t just background music; it’s jazz. To be sure, it’s nothing like Eric Dolphy or Ornette Coleman. Vince Guaraldi isn’t interested in challenging the listener or opening their mind. But it is surprising to hear how balanced and well-constructed these compositions are. I never noticed anything beyond the piano line that carries the melody all those times when I watched the cartoon, but it’s very much apparent here. If this is due to the remastering, it’s a complete success. The bass and drums are here to support the piano, but they’re also important elements in their own right. I also never noticed until now how in the vocal pieces, the singers are a little flat – the way children, or really anyone who isn’t a trained singer, tend to be.Like other jazz greats, Guaraldi had a unique style, instantly recognizable from the first few notes. Far from being background music to a cartoon, this album is a classic in its own right and was fully deserving of its 2012 inclusion in the Library of Congress catalog of significant audio recordings.

A truly great singer with every song on the Ella Fitzgerald album “A Swinging Christmas” being classic gems. I know this because I have the CD. The songs of this album are currently placed in a Christmas playlist along with Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Connie Smith, Dolly Parton, Tony Bennett, Michael Buble and other greats singing Christmas songs from their Christmas albums. I will not open the Vinyl Ella Fitzgerald album, however, it is placed in my music room along with other not opened classic albums in a music show case. Rather than delve into the details of Carole King’s best album that have already been stated by other reviewers, I will simply state my comments.This was one of my very favorite albums as a teen. I didn’t buy a lot, and used my babysitting money (50 cents/hour back then!) for this one along with The Carpenters, Neil Diamond, John Denver, Jim Croce, Simon & Garfunkel – that was my youth’s music! I loved Tapestry so much that when I was given an assignment in poetry class to review a record album for its lyrics, this is the one I picked.Fast forward 50+ years, and I am a Nana to a beautiful granddaughter who turns 16 next week. She is not your average 16 year old girl. Her parents are music lovers, and have introduced her to the great music of the 60s-70s, and she loves it, as well as jazz & blues, and some modern music too. She’s very selective. She gets really into the lyrics, and life stories of the writers, and loves to discuss these with me and others. She loves Simon & Garfunkel, and has asked for a CD of them and/or Paul Simon alone for her birthday. So in addition to Bridge Over Troubled Water, she is getting her own copy of Carole King’s Tapestry. I just recently bought one for myself, having lost track ov the album over the decades, and realized all over again how much this music impacted my growing up years. It’s now in my sewing room’s boom box rotation. I want the same for her – she needs to have You’ve Got a Friend memorized for her lifetime, just like I have. As well as the other wonderful pieces on this album. It’s timeless!

Great album, great music, so iconic

‘I Feel The Earth Move’ is a good song with good beats and great vocals by Carole King and her background singers; ‘So Far Away’ is a nice song with a nice melody and nice vocals by Carole; ‘It’s Too Late’ is a nice yet sad song about a painful breakup (nice melody and nice vocals by Carole and her background singers and I can definitely relate to the lyrics in the song); ‘Home Again’ is another nice song with a nice melody and nice vocals; ‘Beautiful’ is a great song with a great melody, great lyrics and great vocals (once again, I can definitely relate to the lyrics in the song); ‘Way Over Yonder’ is a nice song with a nice melody and nice vocals by Carole and her background singers (the song sounds like a spiritual song and I love the lyrics); ‘You’ve Got A Friend’ is a very beautiful song with a beautiful melody, beautiful lyrics and beautiful vocals by Carole! I can, once again, relate to the lyrics in the song, it’s a spiritual song and Carole definitely deserved the ‘GRAMMY’ for ‘Song of the Year’! Singer James Taylor covered the song as well as other artists but I prefer Carole’s version the best; ‘Where You Lead’ is a nice song with nice beats and nice vocals; ‘Will You Love Me Tomorrow?’ is a song girl group The Shirelles sang and their version is nice and Carole’s version is even nicer with a nice melody and nice vocals by Carole and her background singers; ‘Smackwater Jack’ is a good song with good beats and good vocals (the song sounds like a Blues song); ‘Tapestry’ is a nice song with a nice melody and nice vocals; (‘You Make Me Feel Like’) ‘A Natural Woman’ is a song the late ‘Queen of Soul’ singer Aretha Franklin sang and her version is nice; Carole’s version is also nice with a nice melody and nice vocals; ‘Out In The Cold’ (Previously Unreleased) is a good song with good beats and good vocals; ‘Smackwater Jack’ (Previously Unreleased Live Version) is good but I prefer the album version better. REST IN POWER to singer/songwriter Ms. Aretha Louise Franklin (March 25, 1942-August 16, 2018): ‘You may be gone but you will never, ever be, forgotten.’ The album is 50 years old (1971) and it is a classic album with classic songs that resonates with me. Thank you very much, Ms. King, for making such a beautiful yet brilliant album! Gog Bless you!

Beautiful album.People love it because the person who did it was filled with love doing it.I treasure her and I am the better that I have enjoyed her music from her first record to now.This album could have been gospel and I see it as that in a way.The remix did justice to it.All of Carol’s albums should have a full remixing.I fully recommend it.

What else can be said? A true treasure for the old cats and the new generation.

One of the best albums ever created. Tapestry is classic!

My mother played this album a lot on her stereo’s turntable back in the day. I fell in love with it early on. I had forgotten it until recently, when going through memories of my Mom (R.I.P.), and was happy to purchase it. It brings back a lot of good memories.

Carol King isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but most of the stuff you might of heard on the radio are on this CD, and it was quite a bit cheaper than some of the compilation CDs.My one complaint, is that the highs seem to be rolled off a bit.I don’t know if it’s the original recording, or if this was done during mastering to reduce hiss, but it’s a bit dissapointing for such a great album. Other recordings from this time don’t seem to have the same issue so I’m not sure what’s up.I knocked off one star for that.
