Great collection of Roy Through the Years on one CD!
This would make a great starter CD for anyone who may want to have some Roy Orbison in their collection. The sound or mastering is well done. The songs of course are Roy Orbison, so they’re great! Of course there are other collections like the box set “Roy Orbison The Soul Of Rock and Roll” 4 CD set which has these and many more, but this is a nice one CD collection of songs that span the years of a great, great singer. If you’re like me, you probably already have all these songs on various other CD’s and Vinyl’s. However, if you’re like me, you’ll probably get it anyway, just to have it. With that said, it is a good set of songs ranging from his Sun Records days (Ooby Dooby) which Roy still included in his concerts, at least the 3 I was fortunate to go see. His Monument, MGM years, and Virgin hits from the Mystery Girl album. Even a couple from the Traveling Wilburys. So it’s a nice mix of different times of Roy’s career.I would highly recommend it to anyone just looking for a great CD of some of Roy’s biggest or best. I would still recommend it to anyone looking to add to their Roy Orbison Collection. If you have “All Time Greatest Hits of Roy Orbison”, “The Essential Roy Orbison”, “Mystery Girl”, and “The Traveling Wilburys Volume 1”, then you have most of these songs. If my count is correct, and you have the 4 CD’s I’ve listed, the 2 songs you would be getting for the first time is “Too Soon To Know” and “Heartbreak Radio”.Overall, well done, great set of songs from the man Elvis once called “the greatest singer of all-time”. The last time I saw Roy was 6 weeks before his passing at the Arizona State Fair, and yes, he was amazing! What a voice!

Great selection of hits from early days to his last
Excellent collection: it contains old hits like Running Scared to new ones like You Got It. Two from his time in The Wilbury Brothers, one live from his Black & White Night concert. (I can recommend the video too). Nicely packaged and remastered. 26 songs in all. Booklet contains quite a bit of information about Roy and each song has information about when it was released and musicians who played on it. Highly recommended.

The legend, Mr. Roy Orbison
It is widely known that Roy Orbison had one of the most unique and best voices in the history of rock ‘n roll music. A true giant and pillar of early rock music, Roy was hugely influential to many artists, including Bruce Spingsteen who sang “Roy Orbison singing for the lonely/hey that’s me and I want you only”. At a time when popular music was mostly machismo, Roy never shied away from expressing his feelings on deeply emotional songs. This collection, particularly on vinyl as it was meant to be experienced chronicles his brilliant career. Roy’s operatic voice and dream like songs sound better than ever on this 2-disc set.It spans his 3 decade career from early hits like “Oh, Pretty Woman”, “Crying “, Only the Lonely, “Running Scared”, and my personal favorite “It’s Over” to late material such as “I Drove All Night” and “You Got It”. A nice touch are the additions of “Not Alone Any More” and “Handle With Care” from the Traveling Wilburys supergroup. It also includes a brilliant live take of “Claudette” from his revered comeback concert, “Black & White Night”. “In Dreams” is hypnotic and sounds like something out of a dream. The record itself is beautifully packaged and arrived in perfect condition “! The gatefold center provides valuable and interesting information about each selection, including the songwriters, year, original album and producer. If you are a longtime fan or a newcomer to the timeless music of Roy Orbison’s, this would be a wonderful and essential addition to your record collection.

Great music
Good stuff, the first recordings on the disc have a surprisingly poor sound quality. It could be caused by my having listened to it in my truck while on the road. That improved after the first few songs. It is very good and I am glad I made the purchase.

The RajMan (Fan) Review
They aren’t kidding! This really is the ultimate collection! Not only does this album feature Roy Orbison’s classic hits from all of his early and mid-career record labels, including “Oh Pretty Woman” and “Ooby Dooby,” but it also contains prime cuts from his smash posthumous release, Mystery Girl, and its follow-up, King of Hearts, as well as two Traveling Wilburys tracks! The 1989 Mystery Girl and 1992 King of Hearts albums present Orbison at his finest, with a modern, updated sound from the Traveling Wilburys era courtesy of producer Jeff Lynne. The songs represented here include “You Got It,” “California Blue,” and “She’s a Mystery to Me” from Mystery Girl, and “I Drove All Night” and “Heartbreak Radio” from King of Hearts. The Traveling Wilburys close out the collection with the Orbison-led “Not Alone Anymore” and the George Harrison-led “Handle with Care,” the latter featuring refrains by Orbison. (They could have also included “It’s Alright,” but that’s alright.)So if you’re looking for one album with all the essential highlights, this is it.This is a must-have for both casual and diehard fans.

Great collection of songs
What’s not to like about Roy Orbinson I love his voice! No one sounds like him and his range is so unbelievable. I am very happy with this cd you will be too.
