What Customers Say:

  • The MOST useful app for Musicians EVER!!!
I bought this app for my laptop. I LOVE IT THOROUGHLY!!! It integrates seamlessly into any platform and allows storing of your entire library of sheet music. Even better! Load the song you want to play and simply touch your device screen and the pages turn exactly as you want. Or even Better… Hook up a footswitch to turn pages using this beautiful little gem of an app.
  • Very handy, but a bit pricey
This did exactly what I was hoping for: it allowed me to turn my kindle fire HD into a sheet music display. It easily coupled with a bluetooth pageturner, and I quite like the simple library/organization features. Most important — by far — page turning is smooth and quick, even though the PDFs involved are large. Ordinary PDF readers are clunky and slow by comparison. I’m not sure whether it downscales PDFs to the optimum size or just loads a lot of pages into memory, but it’s doing something right. Works like a charm, and I haven’t even tried lots of its other features (metronome, etc). It’s a bit pricey, but, to me at least, it’s well worth it.
  • Brilliant app.
I needed an platform on which I could read, annotate, and organize my sheet music digitally for rehearsals, gigs, and sessions. The idea of spending several hundred dollars on an iPad that’d I’d use for nothing other than reading charts is ridiculous to me and I spent quite a while looking for a suitable alternative. The price of the app – although well worth it in the end – deterred me initially, and I tried a number of different (and cheaper) apps but none had the organizational capacity of MobileSheetPro. I’m still just scratching the surface of everything it can do but the manual is crystal clear and helped me figure out the basics of the app in a short time. The app layout itself is highly customizable and allows the user easy access to as many or as few features as are needed. Definitely glad I made the purchase and I hope to use this app for a long time.
  • Buyer beware
Be careful. I touched the icon to learn more about it and next thing i know i own it. I’m still trying to find a way to cancel the purchase. This is BS
  • A good option for musicians to
I love that this works with the Fire tablet, but some features such as the foot pedal page turns, are apparently not possible on the Fire tablet. However, the “tap” to set the time for the metronome is much appreciated. The app remembers the tempo you set. There are still features I am learning, but I’ve been able to annotate regular PDFs of scanned sheet music, for example, by highlighting my line in a multi-part score.
  • Many great features
This app is chock full of great features for organizing and displaying charts. You can import and create setlists with ease. You can then edit and re-arrange a setlist simply by dragging a song up or down into its new position. Has a scroll feature that can be adjusted to scroll every few seconds – great for two page charts. Accepts PDF or txt documents and you can edit the documents in the app. Even has a Key change feature that will automatically change all the chords on your chart instantly. My only criticism is that it takes a while to figure things out. The PDF manual that is available on line is not for the current version and is not easy to follow. But if you are looking for an app to keep all your charts well organized an easily accessible it is well worth the money.
  • I figured out how to load music into my fire …
I figured out how to load music into my fire tablet but I can’t figure out how to move it around and organize it.Not a friendly or intuitive user interface.
  • Great e-reader for sheet music
This is such a well-designed, highly capable app for displaying sheet music which originates in PDF or image file formats. Imports are lightning fast and you can then search, create playlists, output a backup file of all songs and much more. I use this both on my Windows laptops and on an Android (Fire) tablet. Highly recommended for all musicians!

What Customers Say:

  • Love it
great for jazz players and singers
  • Usable as a practice or performance device.
OK, this app isn’t perfect, but it’s very useful. You can download thousands of songs from their forums, you can change keys effortlessly, you can also edit arrangements to your taste, as well as enter songs yourself. It can take a little time to figure out its oddities, but with some work, you can probably figure it out easier than I did. I have it on my desktop, with some good speakers, to use for practicing leads, and on my tablet, where I can take a line to my PA, and have a backing band for my solo act. You can adjust tempo, as well as the balance of instruments, to suit your preference. I find it useful.
  • A Muscian’s Dream
I bought the Real Fake book years ago and didn’t use it too much because I just wasn’t ready for it. Someone recommended the iReal app to me recently in our Big Band and I love it. There are thousands of tracks you can download in various styles and you can write your own. You can change the tempo, key and style. It’s great for developing a solo and it has a lot of features I may never use but like to see. HIghly recommended
  • Great app for casual gigs and jazz standards
I played a casual gig for the first time in many *many* years on New Year’s Eve (just for fun). Needless to say, I was expecting to be very rusty, and would not have remembered all of the chord changes, etc. to all of the jazz standards that I used to play regularly as a kid. I was also expecting my on-the-fly transposition skills to be rusty, which *could* have been an issue since I am a horn player and since we were playing with a vocalist who wouldn’t necessarily have wanted to play those tunes in their original keys (basically rendering my fake books useless for the evening). This app is great. For the Gen-X’ers who started playing jazz in the 90’s and maybe even had a few practice tools on their old DOS/Windows PC’s, it reminds me of a touch-screen/on-the-go combination of Band-in-a-Box and Encore. I was able to easily create playlists of all of the tunes in the set list, in the keys that the vocalist had selected, and using the global transposition function to convert all of the charts from C to Bb (for tenor sax, trumpet, etc.). I didn’t spend a lot of time using the built-in accompaniment function, but I expect it too will be very useful (when my device is plugged into external speakers) for practicing chord changes on-the-go.
  • I do not have a device this app is compatable with, and I can’t find out our to get a refund
A friend has this app on his smart phone and I was so impressed I asked him to help me put it on my computer. When he opened it up, it put it on a Kindle I own, but it is in another states, and it didn’t come up on that one either. This is probably a great tool for musicians, but I can’t use it, or open it. It was just $23 and some change I cannot get back.
  • So Useful For Jazz Musicians
The useful aspects are 1) many songs that can be downloaded easily from the forum 2) wide range of tempos 3) ability to cut out an instrument 4) change keys, 5) change style of backing (med. swing, bossa or whatever) and many more. The teaching mode is very useful. It can be programmed to increase the tempo by a specified amount every chorus. It can also be programmed to change the key by a specified interval every chorus. I personally like the tempo feature for practicing a head starting off slowly and speeding up.One problem is that if you want to learn the head of the tune, you need to have the music from somewhere else. I can’t think of any way for iReal b to solve this problem. Another small nit is that there is no Windows version. I bought an android tablet for the purpose of using iReal b. If there was a Windows version I would have used my laptop. The advantage of the tablet I bought (Samsung Galaxy 2 tab 7″) is that it is easy to carry around. And I can just put it on the music stand.I have only been using it for a couple of days. There are many features I have yet to discover and utilize. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
  • this product is incomplete
I don’t spend most of my time trying to read chords from an Android device. I don’t use a tablet, only a smartphone, so the chords appear too small for my eyes. I practice in front of a large screen with speakers at my desktop (I use a laptop with monitor and keyboard plugged in.) There is no accommodation for desktop use, so this does not work well for me.Also, there should be a way to upload that does not look like a blog. In order to download chords and music, I have to look for someone’s conversation, and incidentally there’s some music there. Not a logical format. Create a distinct music upload section.
  • Utility makes up for any UI shortcomings
Around town early adopters of iRealb on the iPad loved it and started bringing them to jams and shows. Then the 200 dollar Fire came out, and there is unanimous agreement that it is superior in nearly all regards for the iRealb application. The largest being the size reduction. The Kindle size is perfect for a music stand or a small table corner. It takes up way less space, is much easier to carry and brings the same feature set (if there are critical differences between iOS IRB and Android IRB, I have not faced them) as other platforms. Any smaller and it would be too small for reading music charts. The user interface is not overly intuitive and takes some time to understand. But once you’ve authored a handful of charts, it becomes nicely manageable. The ability to share files is limited to posting and downloading from the forum or sending email links. This works and it’s how we share tunes between our group. But it’s also cumbersome, poorly conceived and a bit odd in this age of cloud computing and service-based data applications. I think a plug-in architecture addition would be wonderful. Then I could code a DropBox component that automatically syncs tunes/changes/playlists for all members of my group.I also think this app should be open source (again, so I could contribute features to it), but I won’t blame the fellow for wanting to make a living. The systemic shortcomings aside, there’s just too much value to be had to not give this application a strong rating. I’ve gained a great deal from it.

WavePad Master’s Edition

What Customers Say:

  • Awesome sound editor for my phone
First of all a professional will not carry out editing sound recordings on a phone/tablet. For everyone else I must say this should suffice. This can trim, add gain, add certain effects like echo etc on the fly. Nice to have something like this on the phone as I frequently change my ringtone. Also for the conspiracy theorists out there this can also reverse the whole track or a selection of the track. Great I got this, especially today. Has some screen adjustment issues for devices of different sizes but it’s mostly on the info and settings screens and nothing too major.
  • 0.o!
Won’t let me record anything it sucks shouldn’t even be a 1! I hate it! it tricked me and so did all those reviews that said it was amazing and it worked I hate them too!
  • An ‘OK’ Audio package – if relatively limited.
As an Audio editing package WavePad does have some merit; however, when compared to the likes of SoundForge and Audition (CoolEdit Pro) it falls short in several departments. Granted those are real ‘Professional’ packages (with commensurate costs!) but WavePad is more akin to Audacity in its capabilities – except that it’s not free, like Audacity. And don’t think that many professionals would be using this (as their blurb would like you to believe) – not even the Master’s edition, which ‘releases’ some extra features – as it’s far too unsophisticated. However, if it suits your need, it is better than some others which are available. When you first register (using their rather idiosyncratic ‘double’ Serial Number and then ID-Key method) all seems well, and fair play, you do get the ability to take advantage of any new updates for the next 3 months. Thereafter, you have to pay more – albeit with a small discount (c. £38 currently) – for an updated code! And it’s strange how those updates always seem to come out after that grace period. So, be advised … that when it comes to installing any update, take the option to retain a backup when it’s offered – or be prepared to shell out more cash for a new license code. Otherwise you’ll need to re-install the correct version of the application for your Key!
  • A very good android mp3 etc. music editing program
This is a great product. It is the best way I have found to edit sound and music in to most formats, in particular into mp3. It edits, amplifies, does many of the things you might find in a PC sound editing program. Android
  • Powerful
I use it mostly for it’s editing power. While I’m not pleased with how the last update altered the toolbar layout so it makes me have to change tabs a lot and side scroll (which is the equivalent of having to open a new toolbox for each wrench you have but then put it back and lock it…again and again…) the capability is remarkable.
  • Needs work
I did a few “testing 1, 2, 3” tests and each time I noticed that the playback was faster than I spoke. Noticeably faster. The clock that displays while recording and playback was inconsistent – it slowed down (most likely due to my older phone and the processes causing the app to slow down. Not good as consistency in timing is everything! This is, unfortunately, unacceptable. Fine for simple voice recording but not good where tempo means everything (i.e., anything music.)All screenshots are from tablet-like devices and, lo and behold, the options screen is off with words being cut-off.It has a lot of nice options: format (mp3, wav/pcm and a few others) and sampling rate and more. It also tells you how much recording time is possible given the selected format, sampling rate, and space available. I recorded my tests using mp3 at 128 kHz – a lower sampling rate would have helped but I didn’t need much time with this app. Some recordings, while faster than recorded, played back cleanly while others contained “pops” and didn’t record as “well.”With some work this could be a good app but, for now, it gets a failing grade.
  • a way to edit your music easily
Also here is required to upgrade to the latest version and I would like to know which is the way to go, I have a samsung galaxy note 3
  • not worth paying for
The paid version of this app contains the same feature set as the free version. I like the app, but I don’t recommend buying it until amazon and nch software get this worked out. Also, the reverb effect doesn’t seem to work at this time. 7/22/13
