Ice cubes are super cute conical shape and cool down water very well based on the design of the ice cube shape.Took less than 30 minutes to get up and running.They’re perfect for office and home use. Chewability? Perfect. No hurting your teeth. I prefer the large ice size.After I was in the hospital for sepsis, all I wanted was ice water and regular ice. This was here after I got home from my stay and this saved my life because so tasty and cold. My ice maker and I have bonded now, because the way the robot scoops out the ice at the end is the icing in the cake. It’s really endearing. 100/10 would recommend.Idk about durability, I just got it today.Her name is Darlene, like from Roseanne, because she’s cold as ice ????

Having 5 members in our household, including 3 kids who play sports year-round, we go through a lot of ice. We just threw away a name brand countertop ice machine that bit the dust after about 2 years.We have been using this one for about a month and a half now and are very pleased with it. I learned from my last one that cleaning these things regularly is extremely important to making them last. I love that this one has a cleaning button right on the front. Press the button and it goes through a cleaning cycle for about 5 minutes or so. Easy. You will also need to run some vinegar or other cleaner through it occasionally as well as wash out the inside and removable parts with soap and water. The way it’s designed makes it much easier to clean than my old one. You will have to do all this with any ice maker.It produces a lot of ice in a very short time. The ice is crunchy and not super hard. Between this maker and the one built into our refrigerator, we have plenty of ice now.The design is perfect. Lower the door and scoop out what you need. As the ice in the hopper melts it simply is recycled and makes more ice.Who knows how long it will last, but so far, I have been impressed with the quality. I think as long as I keep it cleaned it will last for a long time.At this price and for the quality, I feel like this is a great deal.

8 large ice cubes every 8 minutes is what you can get if you use very cold refrigerated water, else 8 large cubes will take 10 to 12 minutes with room temperature water. The ice cube maker runs flawlessly on its first 2 days of use. Each day I ran it for 4 hours to make 5 lbs of ice. The ice capacity is not that large, so i moved the ice from the bucket to the freezer so it didnt melt. The ice maker is louder than expected, or shall I say the blower fan to cool the compressor is loud. The icemaker itself is quiet. All the mechanisms work flawlessly and the ice maker is easy to clean after each use. I’m hoping this device last for a long time because I’ve have had devices like this before that usually break within 1 to 2 years, but this device seems to be made very well and I’m hoping for the best.

I purchased this 7 months ago so I see how it stands the test of time. I have to say, it does. It is perfect for me. I drink mostly water over gallon a day and I use 2X a day. The cubes are small and soft to chew ( which is perfect for me) and they last a long time . I don’t put them in the freezer because I turn it on it is full by the time I am ready to get it. I use it 2 times daily and it isn’t really needed and it me. I have it all, and wake up through the night and when I wake up there is still ice in it. However. I use a stainless 32 mug. I work from home so I am constantly drinking. For the price it exceeds my expectations

Very nice addition. I like a martini for happy hour. When I made them with ice from my refrigerator, the gin was slightly cloudy and there was a residue of white powdery stuff in the bottom of the glass. That does not happen with ice made from bottled spring water in this machine! It tastes better and looks better. ???? This machine does not have large capacity for multiple drinks at the same time. But it works fine for me. (Mrs. prefers wine to martinis ???? ) Well worth it.

I love that I just fill this to the fill line and it will make ice until it needs refilling. I use it every 2-3 days because I love lots of ice in my cold cup. It takes about an hour to make a bunch of ice. I use distilled water because I figured I should since it is an appliance and want it to last. I have not cleaned it yet, but after each use I make sure no water is left in the reservoir.

Works good, surprised me. We start it up in the morning and shut it off at night. We only do large cubes. First batch is to small but it’s no problem. After all it has to get going. Easy to clean with quarter cup of Vinegar add to fill water push button 30 minutes wha-la. Only bad thing is Drain Plug. Can’t pull it out to drain. It’s recessed so far in you need baby sized fingers to open and Drain. I gave up and just Tipped it over to drain. Faster and Simpler no problem still works fine. Smaller cubes than normal fridge but we adapted. Our Stupid German Bosch Fridge never worked from the start. One month waiting for warrantee then another month for parts. So this little counter top Ice Maker is saving the Day. The Price is fantastic too.

This little ice maker is outstanding, especially for the price! It makes perfect sized cubes quickly with using very little water. Takes about 4 cups of water and approximately an hour to make a half gallon baggie of ice cubes when the machine is set on large cubes. In a couple hours and 8 cups of water I filled the gallon ziplock bag so full it almost wouldn’t close. So far no issues to report, but it has only been a week and I have ran the machine 4 times.

This thing is a beast at making ice, and quick. I didn’t even know these existed. It’s not just an ice maker, This thing makes ice in minutes. I’m not sure what kinds of wizardry is inside of it but in just minutes you’ll have enough ice for a drink. I’m not a fan of storing the ice it makes since they will stick together, but there is no need because, as the ice it makes melts, it drips into the water reservoir and will just keep making ice, keeping the bucket full of ice, always. The only complaint I have is that it’s sort of loud but I guess it needs the heavy duty fans to help the ice gremlins inside of it cool.

This is great! The ice maker on my refrigerator went out and no one will repair it and it’s hard to live without ice. This shipped quickly arrived in perfect condition, well packaged. You have to set it on a flat surface for 24 hours before you use this so that the refrigerant will settle. Then take it near a sink to wash out the water holding part. Reach under to pull the drain plug. Don’t tip it upside down or you’ll have to do the 24 hours again. This thing makes ice within 5 minutes! It’s awesome! If you don’t have an ice maker on your refrigerator get this! It’s even portable you can plug it in outside, at a campground, take it along to music festival! I will probably be giving these away as gifts to all my family members who camp and attend festivals for Christmas this year.

New home, fridge doesn’t have an ice maker. If I installed a new refrigerator the water line would be too difficult to run. What is a guy supposed to do? I bought this countertop ice maker strictly on the strength of its reviews.I have not been disappointed. I make ice with this unit about once every two weeks. It makes ice fast, is very easy to use and is intuitive enough to know when its little ice bucket is full or it is out of water.I’m very pleased with it. The only thing is the ice comes out wet. This makes the cubes stick to each other when put in the freezer. I’ve learned to wait about 5 minutes for the newly frozen ice to cool down (or “dry off” ) and then loosen them up before they get stuck hard.When I’m done I just turn it upside down to drain any water and then leave it like that for any residual water to evaporate. I rub the cleaning cycle now and then.

We bought this after our old refrigerator’s ice maker quit working. It was cheaper than the cost of a service call, not counting the repairs. We we concerned that it would be tricky to use, but the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. We decided to use distilled water right off the bat to minimize cleaning. The ice maker works fast, and fills up the refrigerator’s ice receptacle on just two fills of the ice maker. So far, no problems at all. We only leave it plugged in long enough to refill the ice holder in the refrigerator, which we need to do once or twice a week. The cubes are relatively small, but they don’t stick together. Seems like a good solution for getting all the ice we need.

Great ice maker! My refrigerator ice maker stopped working and making ice for a large family in trays was a pain. I got this to make ice and it had worked amazingly! Ice every six minutes! I dump the ice in my regular freezer bin to make sure I have plenty. The only downside I see is that the ice does seem to melt a bit in the ice maker, but keeping it in a regular freezer helps that issue.

This was just what we needed. The size is smaller than the last one I owned and takes up less space on the counter but produces just as much of not more ice. The water capacity is also comparable to the others I owned. This model is self cleaning and that is such a plus after losing our last one to green tinted water from corrosion in the copper pipes. This checks all the boxes.

For the cost of $70, I love this Ice machine !! But I have a word of CAUTION !! This machine is a very serious FIRE HAZARD !! My advise is, do NOT leave this Ice Machine plugged in while you are away from home, or when you go to bed at night !! I would also not allow children to use this ICE MACHINE for any reason !! If you can follow my advise, then I recommend this ICE MACHINE !! I LOVE IT !! Minus ONE STAR for the FIRE RISK !!

Purchased this ice maker in May 2025. Worked fantastic till it began having issues and weird sounds like a belt whine, freezing up after about 4 months. I reached out to the seller CS and they were great to work with. Offered a couple of fixes, unplug, and additional cleaning and such. Tried everything but the problems kept resurfacing. Customer service was so responsive and stood by the product and sent an entire new ice maker.They definitely stand behind the product and were eager to ensure we were happy.Not sure if my issue was a 1 off but I’d buy another Ice maker from them in the future just because of their Customer Service.

However, in 20 mins there was enough for one cup. Give it an hour and it’ll be about full. It’ll auto turn off as the ice gets stuck coming out of the chute so it thinks it’s full but it’s only about 2/3 full. That’s fine. All ice machines will do this. I was so excited to receive this ice maker because it claimed to make the most perfect nugget ice just like Sonic’s delicious ice. I’ve been buying cups of Sonic ice twice a week for some time now. However, now that it’s hot outside here in California, the ice melts a little by the time I get home, so when I put it in the freezer, it hardens up into one solid brick of ice and doesn’t taste the same as when getting and eating it right away from Sonic. Soooo, then I decided to just get my very own ice maker to alleviate this problem. I did my research and looked for a machine that is compact and easy-to-use and clean. Most importantly, the ice maker had to produce Sonic styled nugget ice, not bullet ice. Well, after reading all the reviews on this Euhomy Ice Maker, I was sold. As I said before, I was extremely excited about this ice maker.Well, I received it yesterday, September 1st, and followed all the manufacturers directions to set it up. (Note: You won’t be able to use it right away because you MUST let the machine sit upright for 24 hours before plugging it in, turning it on, and filling the reservoir with water to begin making ice. Then you’re instructed to throw out the first few batches before you can use the ice.)So, I got my machine yesterday and set it upright on the kitchen counter around 7:30p.m. At 7:40p.m. the following night I finally plugged it in, pushed the On button, and filled up the reservoir with filtered water. Then, I waited anxiously for the first batch of “Sonic” ice.I’ll admit that the ice maker is speedy. I heard ice drop into the basket about five minutes later. Another positive is that it isn’t loud at all, as some people have claimed. Okay, those are the only positives though.I wanted and was expecting small nugget ice, but instead I got large bullet ice (for those of you who don’t know what the difference is between nugget and bullet ice, just Google it.) I saw that there are two option buttons on the front, Large and Small. Well, the large button was lit up, so I figured that was the problem. I then turned the ice maker off and unplugged it. I waited about 30 seconds, then plugged it back in, turned it on, and switched it from Large to Small. My hopes were back up that I would get the glorious small nugget ice I was so craving. The ice dropped about five minutes later and I was disappointed again. WTH?!?So, I thought that maybe that was the last cycle of the large ice and my smaller ice would be coming next. Nope!! The only ice that machine was making was large bullet ice, which I do NOT like. Well, I again turned off the ice maker and unplugged it. Waited another 30 seconds then plugged it back in. Now, the dumb machine won’t even turn on. I pushed the On/Off button several times and….nothing.Dead machine 26 hours later after receiving it!?!? Good thing I saved the box because this useless machine is going back. I’m definitely not keeping it when it doesn’t even make small Sonic-styled ice as it claims. More importantly, the ice maker stopped working 26 hours after receiving it. Needless to say, I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!

LOVE this ice maker. It was easy to install (just plug in) and the first ice cubes were falling within minutes so speedy ice speed. The capacity is just right for 3 people to get ice once- but we use stainless steel tumblers so the ice retention is good. We make a few rounds that we put in a bag and freeze so we have reserve ice- 3 runs of this ice maker fills 1.5 gallon bags.THE ONLY COMPLAINT is that it doesn’t alert us when the ice is finished running. We have timed it so we know that a single round takes about 2 hours so we can transfer the ice to the freezer since the bin is not refrigerated.

so I purchased this due to the ice maker in my freezer needing the Maytag man (haha). Seriously the machine makes ice at a fairly decent rate, we have 3 adults, 1 teen, and 2 kids in the house, all of us utilizing ice through out the day, with no issues. You just need to fill it with distilled every so often, and the machine continues to spew out ice on regular intervals. The water reservoir could be a little/lot bigger, with this many people, but that is a me problem, not the machine. This machine is definitely worth getting.

I love this machine! I have an icemaker in my refrigerator but this is my go to machine. I love the soft ice. Always refilling it. It does make more noise than the one in the Frig. but love it anyway. Time will tell how reliable it is but really enjoying it, going on 3 months.

If you love, crushed ice, this is a machine for you. It is easy to use and the ice is wonderful. The only effort on your part is to keep the water bin filled so it can continue to make ice. I have two machines, one at home and I keep one at work.

Love this ice maker. I’ve had several in the past but this is my favorite. It makes enough ice I don’t have to continually make ice. I can make enough ice to last several days and store in my freezer without taking all kinds of space.

Bought as a replacement for another ice maker. I like the white interior because I can see the water level. I wish the capacity was higher for the actual ice. The ice itself is perfect and just like Sonic.

I was skeptical, but am really impressed with how much ice this little machine makes!

The drop angle of made ice is not steep enough. Ice clogs the shoot and signals machine that ice is full even when half empty. You have to keep scooping made ice out if the shoots way every few minutes.To add water you have to remove the ice basket, (which only drains melt back into base from one side(, and drip water on the counter or floor from the ice basket while refilling the water.Cleaning is east as the drain plug is near the front base, so you can just slide it forward to drain.It tells you to restart the machine for quickness of more ice making if you get the add water light-and you add water. But this makes it dump water into whatever ice is left for a couple minutes.Ice maker started making horrific noises that can be heard throughout the house, 2 days after the return date.The ice is nice and crunchy.

Been using for over a month during a kitchen renovation. Works well, and we love the small ice nuggets.We do have to continually push the ice aside so it can continue to fill (label states 40 minutes but we’ve needed to do it more often). Otherwise it’s been a great addition.

This item suits our needs as we intended. It’s important that the buyer knows what to expect with this unit. The first few batches of ice are somewhat watery and not well formed; however, once this unit chills down it works great. Keep in mind that the ice maker does NOT keep the ice frozen so if you leave it in the basket for hours, it will not be solid and will clump when taken out. That said, I found that if you are on top of emptying the basket into a baggie or plastic container then immediately placing in the freezer, you can fill a couple gallon bags within 4-5 hours with no clumping. It’s nice that you can make two sizes of cubes, we prefer the large setting. Overall, the unit size is good, and I like that it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space and fits nicely under the cabinetry above. Be mindful to allow plenty of airspace above, behind and to the sides of the unit when operating. Do NOT attempt to run it in an enclosed or closeted area with no air circulation. I would recommend this unit for anyone needing temporary or small quantities of ice in a short amount of time. Excellent product for the price.

Works really well it quiet and does the job. It’s just the right size not taking up a lot of space on the counter. Would buy again. We do have an ice maker in the fridge but we don’t trust the tubing from sink to fridge.

We are a family of five, but only 2 people in the home are regular ice users.PROS:-Makes ice fairly quickly.-Generally attractive looking on the counter.-Not silent, but the noise is not problematic.-Small plug on the bottom makes it easy to drain it out from underneath by pulling it out a bit over the edge of the counter with a cup underneath when done making ice, but water is still in the well. (You can tip it over and spill the water out as well, but it says that it’s best to keep it flat so the refrigerant fluids inside the machine stay settled.)-Ice in the tray that melts drips directly into the water well, which going back into the ice-making cycle.CONS:-Main downside (which I think it going to be similar with most products at this price point, but do your own research), is that the unit itself is not a freezer. It’s just an insulated box, so once the ice is made, it will slowly start to melt. Melted ice, as noted above, drips back into the well so it will keep melting and making new ice if you leave it on all the time unless you are using the ice in real time. I have been running it for a day or so and when I walk past it throughout the day, I empty the ice basket into a container in my freezer to build up a supply for a few days.-The number of ice cubes per session is kind of small, maybe enough for two tumblers, but it only takes about 10 minutes per session.-It needs to have some space around the back and side of the unit from the wall (I think it says something like 6 inches) so air can circulate to keep it working efficiently. Not great if you only have a tight space. Hard to say how critical that is.Final verdict: I don’t regret the purchase, but I wish it were able to keep the ice frozen once made.

I have this same ice maker that I bought after my fridge ice maker lever broke. We finally got it fixed but I still use it to keep up with the heavier demand in the summer and it’s great for when we have extra guests because my fridge can’t keep up. My daughter always asks to borrow it when they have extra family over and she asked for one for Christmas, so I bought this one for her Christmas gift. I love mine and it has held up well.

This machine works as advertised! Produces ice bullets quickly and efficiently. It doesn’t take up much space and pulls its weight by augmenting our ice basket in the freezer. Our just out-of-warranty freezer ice maker doesn’t produce ice like it used too and this unit picks up the slack for a great price. A repair to our freezer could run up to $800 or more, so for 89 bucks, it’s worth the counter-top space. Highly recommend.

When I first tried this I thought it might be broken and I was planning to return so disappointed! The instructions are so sparse and badly designed I couldn’t tell how long it took to work or what to expect. Is it so hard to get a designer to lay some instructions out that’s common sense and easy to understand?!? You can find someone on fiver for about $50 to do it. I mean how cheap can a huge conglomerate be? Anyway I sort of forgot about it and went back to working around the house and after about 30 to 40 minutes it started making ice. Slowly, and in small amount, but ice none the less. It’s not a powerful or fast machine. It takes a few hours to fill the little basket but it works. I’ve had it for about a week so far. It’s enough for 1 or 2 people unless you save up the ice and keep it running. I turn it on when I need ice the next day then keep it in a bag in freezer. The machine won’t store the ice. It’ll melt. You have to remove it and put it in a real freezer. It works for my small apartment freezer so I have more space not having to use trays or remember to fill those dumb things. I chose this one because I have an AC unit and my refrigerator is by the same maker. They have worked well for me so far. So this brand is pretty good. I’ve never tried any other brands. The ice has no taste at all. I use distilled water so the machine does not seem to add any weird flavor. I’m super picky about that kind of thing! To add water you remove the basket & pour it in. You don’t have a hose or connector. You don’t have to assemble anything either. Just clean it and remove the shipping tape. I can’t speak to durability because it hasn’t been long enough yet but I’ll update later. But it’s very simple to operate. On off and 2 sizes of ice and that’s pretty much it.

Man I love this thing. I got it at $45, and I could not be happier with this purchase. It makes the ice quickly, and while it is a little noisy, it’s no more noisy than my window ac, and way quieter than my high velocity fan (1450 cfm shop fan). I have trouble drinking water if it doesn’t have ice, and this, dear lord, has made my lazy dreams come true. As I live in the upstairs of my house, and the stairway is narrow with thin steps, I’m not a great fan of using the stairs (I wear size 16 shoes, the steps barely are deep enough for my heel), so this has been a literal godsend for my laziness. I keep some jugs of water in my office, and between this and my coffee maker, I have devastated my propensity for dehydration. You just open the lid, take out the little basket, pour water in up to the line, put the little basket back in, close the lid, turn it on, choose small or large ice, and then start making your coffee. By the time your coffee is done (I have a 4 cup mini coffee maker) you’ll have plenty of ice for your first cup, it’s so simple and easy. By the time you make it through the pot, the little basket will be full of ice, and even if you take three full scoops out there will be plenty of ice left, and it’s almost always been filled to the point that it stops making ice when I go to get ice, so it functions very quickly and the ice is fantastic whether large or small is chosen. I can’t comment to its durability because… while it is portable, I use it as a stationary unit.This has made grinding grand marshal a much, much chiller task now that I don’t have to walk across the house, navigate the terrible stairs, walk back across the house, do all the stuff I’m doing now, but 10 feet below my office, and then sit and wait for everything to get done with basically nothing productive to do while I’m waiting 10 minutes. Now I can be doing things like coding websites or doing graphic art, grinding my toon, practicing guitar or piano, drawing on my tablet, working through my retro backlog, cleaning my room and my office, whatever. It’s seriously amazing and I love it.It IS basically a mini-fridge in terms of power draw, so for others looking to add this to their office setup, you may need to consider into which plug you’re putting this so you don’t overdraw the socket or blow a breaker.

We live in a travel trailer while our house is being built and this works so nice for us. As you know trailers, don’t have big freezers. It isn’t noisy. We like the larger cubes. The tray is easy to remove. It holds 3 to 4 cups of ice when finished cycling. It makes 1 cup of ice within a few minutes. I like the cleaning option on this machine.

This is my 3rd ice maker of this countertop type. They were different manufacturers, but worked the same,freezing bullet ice and pushing it into an ice bin that let’s it sit in the bin while it’s melting and the water goes back into the reservoir until it is needed to make ice. The longest time one of these worked for me is 6 months. The pump stopped working on that one so water couldn’t be pumped from the reservoir. I think it was that the circuit that powers the pump was not do to a bad sensor or something to that effect. Dust and lint buildup on the coil is anotherthing to watch for. Usually a vacuum cleaner can remove enough of the dust so that the coil can do the job it’s designed to do and it will make ice again. These can get noisy, especially when the ice drops after it freezes.

This ice machine has been a great addition to my kitchen. The size is compact enough to fit on the counter without taking up too much space, yet it makes a generous amount of ice. The packaging was secure and everything arrived in perfect condition. Setup was quick and straightforward and it started producing ice within minutes. The cubes are consistent and it keeps up well when we have guests over. It runs fairly quiet and is very efficient. Overall it is reliable, easy to use, and worth the purchase.

Works better than I expected. It was so cost so I tried it out. We have that ice maker running all day long. And I have ice and everything even when it’s cold outside. The ice is soft though which is interesting and you can buy into it but it’s still stays hard and drinks. It meets our need for ice for the four of us and I just threw away my ice trays I don’t need them anymore.

When I made my first ice cubes with this thing I was really impressed. It’s quiet and it really does make ice starting in about 8 minutes. The down side is that the ice is barely freezing, as in maybe 32 degrees F. The ice made in your home freezer is about 0 degrees F. Ice that is only 32 degrees only lasts a couple of minutes in a drink. It will not be helpful in a cooler. The other thing is that the ice basket shows full too early, as the ice dumping into it does so in a slope, so the basket is only about half full when it shuts off production.

Have had this about a week now and I am overall, pretty happy with this purchase. It’s the right size for the space I have. It’s very portable. It makes ice quickly. My kids love it. My only complaint is that if I don’t put refrigerated water in it, the ice is not properly formed. They come out thin, melty and too small, even on large ice setting. So if you buy this, keep in mind room temp or warmer water is not going to freeze up correctly. It seems to work just fine if I put very cold water in the reservoir, or leave some ice in the water, then I get perfect ice. ????

We’re so satisfied with this ice maker! We’ve always preferred drinking water from our own filter rather than the refrigerator, so we never trusted fridge-made ice either. Now, we can make ice using our filtered water, and it tastes just as good as our drinking water. It produces enough ice quickly, and the noise level is very low. This is only good at beginning and not too loud ( much more expensive compared to other brands). After 6 months, the ice contained little dust and we tried to clean up frequency but it didn’t work. The automatic clean up of the ice marker didn’t help. I tried to email them to ask for help but no one reply my email.

Got this out and added water and plugged it in. Within a short time we found that water was pouring out everywhere. Even found its way to the basement!! Upon taking it apart I found there was a water line NOT hooked up!! Took machine apart and fixed the water lines and started over, seems to be working fine now? My suggestion is to add little water and plug in somewhere easy to ensure you have no leaks before just walking away or you might just have a big mess to clean up !! The fix only took me 20 minutes to find and repair but you just should not have to fix a brand new machine. If you are not very handy you might think twice???

I don’t consider something a liquid to drink if it lacks ice. This machine works great and I love it dearly. I just was tortuted by a more expense NewAir Unit that ran 10 days, then it eventual replacement that was “Refurbished” to which I objected but got anyway. After the “runaround circuit of misery” by NewAir? The eventual Refurb “New Unit” arrived D.O.A. It turned on but the arms would not turn just like the junk unit I bought new. I finally bought this “Igloo- The Wirecutter Recommendation”. I LOVE IT!!!It just keeps WORKING AND WORKING CRANKING OUT REALLY NICE ICE. Buy THIS ONE. Please read their EXCELLENT User’s Manual. It’s highly informative: tells you what to expect, troubleshooting tips, how to use the self-cleaning (easy) feature. It does take a very few minutes of no sounds before you hear it working this is normal. A tip I received from people experienced in buying ice machines: Get the extended warranty. I bought it for 3 years. I realized what a bargain and convenience this unit was compared to the cost and hauling of bagged ice. This wonderful machine also weighs 1/3 of the NewAir garbage. BUY THIS ONE!Update 2 years later: I bought this 12/21. Have used it 24/7 365 to perfection! Now close to two years later it malfunctioned and stopped making ice. The “people in the know” who said “always buy an extended warranty on an ice-maker were right! The warranty people are picking up the device from my home tomorrow for free and issuing me an Amazon credit for the full price to buy a new one. Honestly? Even for the time it worked perfectly non-stop it was worth the $145 or so I paid for it even if I wasn’t getting a new one. The dependability and non-stop availability of ice nonstop without having to spend a cent on a bag and lug it around, then have it take precious space in. my freezer was divine.I am left with one confusion: My machine is the “Original Aqua (it might mention the arm) now at $172.00 (approx) I can pay the difference. But the page pulls up the $99 unit “Aqua Arm” or “with Aqua Arm.” I would rather pay less, but in reading the reviews they were better for the more expensive unit I had, and the model numbers are similar but different: It is ICEB26HNAQ vs IGLICEB26HNAQ (Higher Price vs Lower Price) but I don’t want to be a dummy and pay more if I don’t need to, so I’ll check with Igloo first comparing motors and here comparing dimensions. I don’t want to screw up getting a machine that delivered beyond my wildest dreams because cash is tight. I retried the NewAir junk. It still never worked. I hate that company for charging more, delivering a dud and replacing it with a dud. They robbed me of about $200.00 and tortured me. Never had a functional machine. Stay away from New Air, they are thieves that make broken machines and run an unethical operation. I will bring this up every chance I get as I’ve never bought and been stuck and replaced and stuck with a lemon buying from ANY company. New Air are “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves” as the song goes and are the more expensive choice! They cannot even begun to be compared to Igloo!

Purchased this Igloo ice maker in Mar ’24 because the Mfg of the refrigerator could not keep the one in their frig working. Many of the reviews said it would last about a year, so I bought the extended warranty also. This little guy just keeps cranking out the ice. The cubes do have a hole in them, and really not much difference between small and large. We use it almost daily, making ice and putting it in the freezer in zip lock bags to freeze before dumping in a bin(minimizes clumping). The ice is wet and the maker is not insulated, but it is better than filling and dumping ice trays or buying new frig. Melted ice will go back in the water reservoir to be remade again. It has gotten a bit noisy, but does not bother us. It kind of reminds us that it is full and needs dumping when it gets quiet. I do run the clean cycle with half vinegar half water as it recommends then run a clean cycle with clean water before using. So not as intense cleaning as some machines. Hope this helps.

I bought this new, along with an extended warranty. A lot of ice makers seem to go out after a year. The one I bought — Igloo in a light blue– only lasted a month and a half before completely dying. I called Amazon customer service to inquire about the manufacturer’s warranty. The agent said to use the extended policy, but I told her I did not think that would take effect until after the original manufacturer’s warranty expired. She said she would send me another one, without charge, as long as I returned the one I had. So we went with that. However, I spent the next month trying to get rid of the horrible taste of the ice from the replacement. We kept running the cleaning system to no avail. Didn’t help at all. Kept flushing it out. I called Amazon again, and asked if it might have been a “renewed” one, sent back and previously owned, and if they might have used some sort of cleaning agent in it. She said probably, and ended up refunding the original purchase price. So at that point, the machine owed me nothing. We tried flushing it out again, several times alternating between vinegar and lemon Juice, and it helped somewhat. We used it occasionally over the next two to three months, before the replacement ice maker also completely died. Could never revive it no matter what we tried. I have no idea what killed it, but the lifespan of the 2nd one of these received was also very short. I do not think these are well made at all. I’m shocked to see that so many customers gave it 4 to 5 stars. Maybe I shouldn’t be griping since it was free after all, but it was also a total waste of my time and energy. These are fairly heavy to pick up and drain, etc. And I had hoped for ice. Just ice. With none of that horrible chemical taste. Nothing more and nothing less. That was what I bought it for. Igloo did not deliver the promised ice; instead, both of their machines died prematurely in the kitchen. They were never abused, just not well made. I really do NOT recommend buying any of these from this company. Their coolers are fine, but not their ice machines. Though I did like the pretty blue color.

I picked this up as a temp replacement for a failed fridge auto ice maker. I’ve been keeping my ice storage been full transferring ice from this as it’s made because the built in is tray is not refrigerated and melts if it’s left in. It works very well and quite fast with fresh torpedo ice production every 6min or so. I had my freezer ice ben filled in an hour with to water fills and run the unit once a day to keep me topped offThe only minor cons I have is that the fan is a bit noisy and blows warm air out into my kitchen, but to be fair that is to be expected. And also no built in chiller to keep the ice from melting in it’s storage tray. But as it melts it drips back into the water storage tank that directly below the slotted ice basket so there’s really no issues.Overall this seems a solid ice machine unit and works as advertised. Worth the money!

We are always running out of ice and this has solved the problem. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago.This ice maker is excellent and will delivery the 26 lbs. of ice per day. What a lot of people don’t understand about countertop ice makers is that when the ice is made it is about 27 degrees and the ice maker is not a storage freezer. Think of it like the ice that was just made will sit in the ice maker which is like keeping ice in a cooler. It won’t get colder it will just slowly melt and then gets turned back into ice again.Keep in mind when you pull ice out of your kitchen freezer that has been in there for several hours it is around 0 degrees vs. the 27 degrees right out of the countertop ice maker. So, ice from your freezer is going to last a lot longer in a drink than ice out of this countertop ice maker. So, that may not be ideal for some if you are having a drink outside on a hot day and not using an insulated cup. For best results take the ice out of the countertop ice maker and put it in a gallon ziplock bag and place it in the freezer for a little while so it will get down to the 0 degrees. That is not necessary though. The ice that comes right out of the machine is plenty cold enough for drinking beverages indoors. If you want to use the ice outdoors just place the ice in an insulated cup.Pros:Very quality built machine.Very easy to use.It uses lights to notify you of the status rather than annoying beeps.It really does make 26 lbs. of ice in an hour.First ice in about 8 minutes.Full basket of ice in about an hour.Pauses itself when ice basket is full and will resume ice production automatically as soon as some ice is removed.Light comes on when water needs to be added (keep in mind you still have a full basket of ice when this triggers).Melts very slowly and if you leave it on over night it only comes on once or twice to replace the ice that melted.Quite operation.It doesn’t take up a lot of countertop space so we are able to leave it out and it matches our stainless steel fridge.It comes with a nice ice scoop which is great for parties.This ice maker keeps dropping ice every 8 minutes.The cord is very long so it doesn’t have to be right up against the outlet.Cons:The only con I have about the machine is trying to drain the water remaining when you are done using it. There is a drain plug underneath it that is a little tricky to use because you can’t see underneath the machine and you can’t just turn the machine upside down to drain it per their instructions. That will harm the machine.What I found to be a great solution is instead of using the drain plug I use a microfiber towel to soak up all the water left in the machine. That only takes a quick second and you don’t have to move the ice maker over the sink to drain it. I then leave the lid open to make sure it dries out. So it really isn’t a con if you use the microfiber towel. It is so easy this way which means I never mind using the machine even to make a small amount of ice.

Got it for my office. Doesn’t make a lot of noise, refills the ice quickly, and I’ve used it for many days and I have not had to refill the water tank yet. Extremely pleased and prefer it to my more expensive and larger version. My only issue with it is that the ice cubes melt a little quicker than I would like, but overall, I’m very pleased and would recommend.

Great countertop ice maker. Perfect for summer months when our demand for ice outweighs the capacity of our built-in ice maker. We’ve had this for over a year now. It ran continuously for 5 months last summer/fall and it’s going on another 3 months this summer. We put it away for the winter because we don’t need the extra ice. Pros: Makes ice quickly that is fun sized and “chewable.” Perfect for all the iced tea I’m hooked on during the summer. Super fun to have extra, scoop-able ice on hand for our summer drinks. Cons: Our unit seems to get stuck – as in I need to manually push away the ice from the ramp or else the ice maker thinks the ice bin is full and will not make anymore ice. A minor inconvenience.Also, last week the ice maker stopped working properly- turning out very tiny ice cubes that melted too fast to use. I did some research into this and ran a batch of pure vinegar through the ice maker then flushed it out with plain water. Seems to have fixed the issue. Normal size ice cubes again. Voila! Also – when draining the unit of old water, but sure to keep it upright and use the drain plug to drain rather than tipping the whole unit over the sink to pour out old water. I was doing this for a while and may have jostled the coolant in the unit. I let it rest in its upright position for 24 hours, then plugged it back in and it has been fine. I’m not entirely sure whether the problem with the unusually small cubes were due to scaling build up or whether it was due to the coolant being disturbed, or both. Either way, letting it rest in its upright position and running a cycle with vinegar has fixed the problem. I’m happy that we’re halfway through our second summer and the thing is still working.I would recommend for others who have similar uses for the ice maker. Do not expect it to produce enough ice for a larger party or to fill up a cooler. Works great for a family of 4 for regular drinks.

I love this thing! 2 sizes for bullet ice and is rather quiet in comparison to my old ice maker.

JUST DONT BUY IT!!!So I’ve had this ice maker a little over a year now. At first it worked great. But after only a few months the sensor stopped working that tells you to add more water and it just keeps running even with no water in it. Which was fine whatever, I didn’t let it run overnight or anything and was usually there when it was making ice so I just filled it up when it got low. Fast forward to now and I’ve been finding little pieces of metal at the bottom where the water goes into the reservoir. Not sure how long this has been happening but not happy that me, my husband and my kids have possibly been ingesting little pieces of metal which is giving me anxiety. It doesn’t have any sort of self cleaning so you have to drain it and clean it out but who knows how the water lines get clean and if u don’t wipe it dry occasionally or don’t have it running constantly like me I’m sure mold can grow pretty quickly in it. I’ve tried to reach out to Frigidaire but they couldn’t help me bc Curtis Igloo is the one who actually makes it. Tried to reach out to them and there was “no one to answer my call”So I’m pretty frustrated with it and feel like it was a waste of money to get this even tho reviews were “good”.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Go find a different better brand with better customer service.

I really enjoying having a ice maker. I don’t have to worry about making ice in freezer. My granddaughter would leave the empty ice trays out and doesn’t bother to refill them.So ice maker resolve this problem.

I like the ice maker — I’ve used it several times. Knocking a star off because the ice cubes (not really cubes, more like cylinders) are quite small, even on the “large” setting. While I really love this ice maker, my main con is that it takes more than an hour to use up the machine’s water well. The machine makes numerous small batches of ice: with only 8 – 10 **very small** “cubes” for each batch that’s produced every 6 minutes or so. If you don’t want them to melt, you have to stay attentive to the machine and scoop each new batch every 6 minutes and put in the freezer. After more than an hour doing this, you only end up with about a HALF-filled one-gallon ziploc bag of ice.

I don’t normally write reviews but I purchased this ice maker in April 2025. It was great and such an awesome addition to our household. We use it daily. I usually run a clean cycle once every week or two like the directions say. It stopped making ice after 4 months which left us all pretty devastated since it’s used daily. I called the Silonn manufacturer which they gave me instructions on sending them a video of it not working and providing them with an invoice of my purchase. They got back to me the next morning and let me know they will be sending me a replacement in 5-7 days. My replacement ended up coming in 2 days!Very satisfied with the company & my ice maker!!
