    I received FAKE Command Strips! The strips were sent in a plastic bag, the strips do not have proper 3M markings. If you have used 3M strips in the past, you will notice that the “Velcro” is not the same. The adhesive is subpar. I am returning these and I have reported these counterfeit Command strips to 3M.This is a one star review, but my review was only accepted when I marked the product as five stars.

    if you’re like me, you might goof it up the first time you try to use them, but they work perfectly – just slap two of them together velcro sides touching, make ’em nice and snug, and then apply them to the back of what you wanna use them on. take the sticky shield off the other one, get everything attached, and then just stick ’em to the wall! a light push, and they’re stuck fast – but when it’s time to take them off again, they come off with little trouble. i don’t know how both of these things are true, but they are!

    I’ve been using command strips for more than 10 years and think they are a phenomenal product, but this is the first time I’ve used the XL. These definitely hold up heavy weight items but be careful on removal. I wanted to shift some paintings around and ended up pulling pieces of the plaster away from the wall when I tried to detach the painting from the wall – it happened twice in the kitchen and once in the hallway so I know it’s not a fluke. I had to spackle, sand and paint which has never happened before from using command strips. I’d recommend sticking with the large size if it will get your job done.

    Last night I finally hung all my art and photos – only to be woken up every 10 minutes with them crashing off my walls and calling in 2 hours late to work to clean up all the glass. Here is what happened: I’ve used Command strips for at least the last 5+ years. LOVE THEM as a renter. I always buy strips that can hold more weight than I need. I use 2 strips per frame. Never had an issue. Not once.I moved in June and have TONS of art and photos ranging from 4×6 frames to framed paintings weighing about 7 lbs. And due to life circumstances, I finally got a moment to hang up all my wall decor using 2 batches of command strips I purchased after moving (one in June and one in August – I have a lot of framed wall decor). I spent about 10 hours carefully leveling and applying pressure each time. And I was relieved to finally be set up in my new place.I went to bed about 2.5 hours later… and starting around 1am, I was woken up every dozen or so minutes to a frame falling from the wall. I needed to get sleep so I would go back to sleep and then be woken up several minutes… Minutes… later with an another frame coming off the wall.I woke up an hour early, knowing that I had glass covering every floor in every room from these frames shattering… I probably have several thousand dollars invested in my frame jobs by the way…. And even with that extra hour in the morning, I still had to call in to work two hours late cleaning up all the glass and now have a pile of broken, framed, art, and photos sitting on my living room floor.When I opened the batches, I bought in June and August. They work perfectly well for what I wanted and even come with a tiny little leveler to make sure you’re making it straight. It also helps to drill the screw in at a just slightly downward angle, to avoid much drooping as possible.Hanging them up is much easier with an extra set of hands and at least an 18inch ruler.   • They work, but they will sag with light weight
    Shelves work ok but they definitely sag. I feel like they could hold the weight they claim but not without an obvious struggle. I had to add brackets underneath for them to feel supported and not sag. A few of the shelves even came a little damaged despite being still in their plastic wrap. It’s fine, they weren’t expensive and they are hung high enough up that I won’t notice the damage and adding the braces fixed the sag. Would they work for something super light…sure. Something with any kind of weight at all (even well under the weight they claim to hold)…I’d plan to add a little more support to be safe.

    I sought this product out to solve a highly drafty window panel in my room. Despite the good reviews, I did not have a lot of faith in the product or in my ability to implement it with optimum precision. I was wrong on both counts! I could not believe how easy it was to get a perfect application . My window is in three sections and I applied the tape to the perimeter but also a strip between each pane vertically for a tighter fit. I used my hairdryer and smoothed out every wrinkle and you can not even tell that there is sheeting over the windows. I have the curtains drawn a bit for lighting purposes but it honesly looks like glass. I am so happy with this. If the plastic sheeting was thicker, it would be a better insulator, but for the price, this is perfect and provides enough insulation to make a difference.

If it doesn’t hold well I’ll try it on the outside but so far so good.I used my basic blow dryer on high to heat the shrink film and that was sufficient. No need to pull put my heat gun. The film is sticking pretty well for now.Ive never used window insulation before so have nothing to compare it too. So for me as a novice, cutting was easy, measuring was easy, size was good. Long enough to fit a standard window. The quality was ok to me because it didnt tear or melt, even when I touched it with the blow dryer, attempting to smooth out the wrinkles.So far I like it. I plan on doing all my windows.

    I was skeptical when I got this because it just looks like a bunch of shrink wrap, but I’ve noticed that after I put this over my windows I don’t feel the radiant cold coming from them anymore. I was a bit of a hassle trying to cut with kitchen scissors, maybe have a better pair for this, the rest was easy. The size was massive, one of the plastic sheets was large enough for me to cover 3 windows.

    Our windows are old and extremely drafty. You could literally feel the draft hitting you while sitting on the couch. Our heater would run pretty much consistently. And that made for a pretty hefty electric bill my brother-in-law suggested this product. I read the reviews which I always do. This product was so easy to install and works perfectly. Our living room actually stays warm now, our heater isn’t running constantly and no more draft.

    I had a couple of older windows in my 200-year-old Vermont home that have not been updated. Very easy to use. I did it by myself on a ladder in about seven minutes. Tape is good and sticky. I did put a couple extra pieces on the corner areas after reading some of the reviews. Gets nice and tight after you hit it with the blow dryer. Kind of cool and science-y. Sometimes I have to touch it to remember it’s there. Love it because it keeps the cold out but allows all the light that I need for a Vermont winter Into my bathroom. Good product.
  • Better Buy Your Own Tape!
    Was going to give this 5 stars, but ran into a rather big problem… We’re renting a house that was built in the 50’s and wasn’t maintained very well. Last December our power bill increased significantly trying to keep the old place warm. So this year we decided to give these a try. We started with the bedroom; which is always 4 degrees off from the rest of the house and has three medium windows. At first, major success! Finally that room was the same temperature as the rest of the house. Then, slowly and oddly, it seemed to stop working. Today we opened the blinds to realize that the tape had failed and large gaps were present; separating the heat-shrink wrap from the window and completed defeating the purpose. Going to go to Walmart tomorrow and try to find bigger and better double-sided tape. NOT HAPPY that I’m going to be redoing all of those windows and “wasting” that heat-shrink wrap. It’s easy enough to apply, but that’s still having to do a job twice over for no good reason with an additional expense.TLDR: Shrink wrap works, double-sided tape is too weak. Either try a different kit or buy your own tape.

    I bought these because my hardwood floors were getting scratched every time we pulled a chair out for dinner, and the noise of chairs scraping across tile was louder than I expected. I wanted something inexpensive and simple that would fit over different legs without tools or glue.Installing them was straightforward. The soft silicone cups slip over the bottoms of chair legs, and the attached felt pad stays in place so nothing flakes off. They seem to adapt to different leg shapes, whether round, square, or rectangular, and I noticed they grip the legs while still letting the chair glide.In everyday use they perform as promised. Chairs move more quietly and slide smoothly instead of scraping, and the floors look a lot less gouged after frequent use.     I purchased something similar at TJ Maxx but only enough to do 2 chairs. These were significantly less costly but the caveat is that the silicone sides and felted bottoms are somewhat thinner materials. I did install on the rest of my dining room chairs. They fit quite nicely and I will update my review if they turn out to be less sturdy. Regardless, it’s nice to have the chairs slide easily across the carpet and the wood floors. They were easily installed once I remove the old fashioned hammered in ones I used years ago which were falling off and/or apart.

    Every window in every home should have over your window. Double sided tape is very sticky.one you a ply heat and it shrinks and tightens (used hair dryer) can’t even tell its even on. KEEPS THE COLD OUTAND THE HEAT IN.
  • Takes Patience & Planning
    There’s a learning curve. I made so many mistakes on my Patio Window/Door, that I was a Pro by the time I got to my bedroom window. I press very hard on the tape before I pull off the backing. I let it cure 10-15 minutes. I opened the plastic all the way — it’s double folded and hard to see. Then I cut the pieces shorter and left the width I needed. It’s easier to work with shorter plastic. It’s also easier to use shorter lengths of tape. I used a pointy tool to remove the tape backing. Then after one pieces was installed, I placed tape across it and started the 2nd piece of plastic higher on the window. Worked just fine for me without any gaps. My blinds cover the plastic so I don’t have to see it. This takes longer than you think it will because the plastic catches on the tape and you need to be careful. You need to let tape cure 10-15 minutes after you remove the backing. I recommend cutting the plastic into shorter pieces, then using extra tape to connect them to each other once the first piece is installed. THANK YOU

    Works very well however!The tape width needs to be wider . It’s to narrow . It pulled away within 24 hours of installation. I think with a wider base for the film to stick to this issue could be solved. I used two lengths around the window, and this worked out great!

    The product is an absolute joke. I have few windows that still need replaced and bought this in hopes that it would at least help a little in the winter months. After cleaning off the windows, I removed the blinds and attempted to place the double-sided tape on the window, which was an absolute nightmare because it is barely adhesive. I gave it a chance thinking the heat would help once I put the thin layer of film up. I don’t know how they can call this any type of insulation though, because it’s barely as thick as the cling-wrap I have in my kitchen.After placing this dreadful product on the window, I used a heat gun to tightly stretch the flimsily film and remove the wrinkles. However, the lowest setting of heat put a hole in the cheap plastic film, which defeats the entire purpose of this. After removing this and the tape, I made another attempt. This time I kept the heat gun further away, but this did not stretch the film.After multiple attempts, I was unable to use the product as advertised. The weak film would either rip or not stretch and the double-sided tape could barely hold itself on the window. This is one of the worst products I have ever attempted to use, and the company should be embarrassed to put this on the market. I have two boxes of this imitation insulator kit that are going in the garbage. Thank you, Frost King, for wasting my time and stealing $34.76 from me.

    Amazing! I just had a brand new master bath remodel and the designer didn’t leave space on the walls for a towel bar. I was mortified! These little hooks took care of that. They easily attached to the glass shower wall and are super heavy duty. They look nice and hold a bath towel or beach towel easily. I put 4 up and am amazed how I can hang a complete outfit on hangers off one hook without it losing suction from the weight. I highly recommend!

    These suction hooks are super easy to install and actually hold really well — no slipping. I use them for towels and loofahs in the shower, and they stay put even with the steam. Great quality and they look nice too!
  • 3 out of 4 hooks work well
    Three of the four stay on the shower wall well. One won’t stick no matter where I put it. Hence the reason for 4 stars not 5. I haven’t tried the adhesive disk, but am pretty sure that won’t hold either since the other three are fine on the shower wall without it. Black finish looks great, and they look sturdy and well made.

  • Great towel hanger
    I placed this towel holder just outside my walk-in shower, on the glass. Even though it works off suction, it stays put. I’m glad I bought it.
  • Works only on very limited surfaces
    I have used these suction cup hooks for about a year now. They look nice, are easy to install, and they held my bath towels without ever falling off the wall. I even used one to hang my purse, which weighs more than an average bath towel. However, they are ONLY suited to using on glass or tile. They are VERY difficult to remove from any other surface, and will most likely require a patch job, as I sadly just discovered, even though I followed the original instructions for installing them on uneven/porous surfaces. The updated product info says not for painted or textured surfaces (I can’t even pry one of them off a smooth metal wall cabinet) so only get this for use on glass or tile if you want to save yourself a headache later on.
