This is the second pair of these binoculars I’ve bought. After using the first pair for a couple of years, I decided I wanted to keep a second pair in my other vehicle. These are the best compact binoculars I’ve ever owned. Yes, I have a pair of name brand, high power, ridiculously expensive binoculars, and those are better quality and provide an even better, impressively clear image, but there are times and places that I would never want to take/use those. So, for most applications, I use one of these very reasonably priced pairs of binoculars and I’m 100% satisfied with their performance. I believe all the seller’s specifications and pictures do a good job of representing the product. These binoculars come with a nice quality soft case with Velcro closure, covers for the eyepieces (not for objective lenses), a neck strap and lens cleaning cloth. Between the manufacturer’s pictures and those posted by prior reviewers, I see no reason to add any more pictures. What is advertised is what you get.

This review is for the Occer 12×25 Compact Binoculars. I own several pair of binoculars, although most are larger and more difficult to manage for children and people who are not use to working with binoculars in general. The Occer 12×25 binoculars are very light weight, the quality is fair for the price point, and the field of view is large, making them ideal for sporting events, nature walks and stargazing. The image is bright for having only 25MM objective lenses, with focusing dials in the center and right ocular lens (diopter focus). The eyepieces twist up and down for those who wear glasses, and those who do not. Be sure that each lens is adjusted to the same level to avoid eye strain. I normally turn the lenses down and back them up one turn at a time until they focus correctly for my eyes. I have a similar pair of Bushnell’s that I’ve owned for over 35 years and still going strong. Both the Bushnell’s and Occer Binoculars are constructed from rubber and durable ABS plastic. Overall these are good entry level binoculars for younger kids and adults just learning to use binoculars. If you do not have lofty expectations, these binoculars will do the job for both terrestrial and celestial viewing. I do not recommend using these binoculars in wet areas, or in environments with a high dew point. They are not nitrogen purged lenses and will most likely be negatively impacted by condensation.

These binoculars are not just great for the price…they are just GREAT! I cannot believe the quality of the glass… no joke, in dim light they are brighter than the bare eye. They focus incredibly tight and crisp. The weight is not too heavy, while not feeling cheap. I don’t understand how they can produce such a high quality optic fir this price…the glass is on par with a $1000 Vortex rifle scope that I own.

I’m very happy and really surprise on the quality of these binoculars I don’t claim to be a expert in optics but these are very clear and with very minor distortion if any. The use of a BaK-4 Porro prism that I read it’s an excellent choice for it clarity and bright clear image that it creates.For the price I paid for it it’s a good value.it weights about 1 pound and a half. It could be a little heavy for some people.

If you are new to binoculars, these aren’t for you. Stick to an 8X42 or7X50. Much easier to use. That said, for 30 bucks these are fine.The eye pieces are not very glasses friendly so that is an issue. The magnifying feature works well however I pinched my finger as the mechanism is a bit sharp. Field of view is sharp and clear for the money but you don’t get a strap for around your neck with this product. I’ll keep these in my car but my 8×42 Brunton is my go to set.

Great binoculars for any beginner and for the price. Easy to use and adjust/focus. The carrying case makes it easy to put away when not in use. I would recommend these to anybody looking for something that is good quality for a very affordable price. Great idea to give as a gift too!

Pretty quality given the cost and size of the binoculars. For daily usage like going to a show or a hiking for wild animals, that’s sufficient.

I like them. I love how the large eyepiece lens makes it easier to see. There is no way these are 20 power. More like 8 or 9 power. That is fine with me. True 20X are really hard to hold still enough to see what you are looking at. If they had been 20 power, I would have been disappointed there was not way to use a tripod. At 8 power it’s not needed. I have other binoculars. I got these as basically throw aways they are so cheap. If they had been advertised as 8 or 10 power it would be 4 stars.

Tried it outside at night and it works great! I could easily see about 50 yards into the dark. The night vision is black and white, but it’s nice and clear. You can adjust the focus and the brightness of the IR light, which helps a lot. The zoom is digital, not optical, but still does the job. Guess I will build the amazon machine with some good info to help customers realize the low down. Reviewing only one specimen of the Vortex 10×42 Crossfire HD binoculars, so keep that in mind. Going to compare the Vortex with a few similar priced binocs. Conditions: overcast rainy day, 2:30 pm Pa. Going to look at a Pa license plate (white background with dark letters/numbers) at 220 yards and tell you how easy it is the read the plate using the various binoculars. All binoculars in like new condition and carefully adjusted for my eyes. I could have got out the Zeiss, Lecia , Cabelas Alaskin guide, Maven etc. out to blow the Vortex away but only the Vortex general price range are compared. Starting with the best and going on down. Bushnell 10×25 Legend HD (clearly the best, the center hinge could be tighter for my taste), next Bushnell Legend L series of about 4 yrs ago 10×42( small amount of play when changing direction of main focus wheel) tied with the Celestron Trailseeker (Celestron had slightly better resolution but not quite the contrast of the Bushnell) A fairly close next the Vortex 10×32 Diamondback from about 6 yrs ago. And the hardest to make the plate out were the Crossfires but could still barely make it out finding the sweet spot. The Vortex are mechanically excellent and feel great in the hand. Weigh 24oz with the rubber attached objective covers. I think that allot of folks after taking the time to adjust the diopter for their own eyes will say the Vortex are a perfect binocular! But only when not having better to side by side compare(can take a little bit of time to do a careful comparison). Want to give the Vortex 4.5 considering the whole package and price. I got absolutely nothing for this review! O and people will be happy to know that the play in the focus wheel when changing directions of my Crossfires is almost completely gone! ( compared with my 8×42 Diamond backs of about 3+ yrs ago.) If you got the money I would go for the Diamondbacks, a bit lighter and likely a small amount better picture quilty (but over 50%more bucks!) UPDATE : after more experiment I would say the diamondback 10x32s are not quit as good as the 10×42 Cross fires. Think I mAy have a sub standard 10×32 speicimin in the diamondbacks? And now I have aquired a latest version of the 10×42 diamondbacks and they are excellent, better than the cross fires, better resolution especially in low light and have better edge to edge clarity than the Crossfires. ( I still feel Cross fires are good). With just the objective covers installed= 24.1 oz., Diamondbacks = 22.0 oz. Update (8/4/2023): the Crossfire 8×42 are very good and look like they would cost big bucks., amazing binocs for the money.

I just received these today. They do not disappoint. Quality is A+. Viewing is outstanding. Love the retractable eyecups since they absolutely improve viewing. They come across as very sturdy and certainly feel like high grade construction. Can’t wait for my next football game. Go Birds!! ????

Great binoculars. First good pair I’ve owned, but I dont see how they could be better for viewing at the distance they do, which is about as far as I’d want without having a tripod or something. Materials seem good quality. Image is crystal. The case and sling and protectors are good.I do caution those with close-set eyes, though. Mine are nearly that, having about the exact width of one of my eyes between the two, and I just barely get the image right when the biboculars are pushed together as far as they go. If my eyes were aby closer together, they probably woyldnt ve the roggt set for me. So caution if you have close-set eyes.All thibgs considered they seem top value for the price.

10-42. Nice unit. Purchased 8-2025. For the price point, hard to beat. Only used short time, I’ll update after my hunts this fall. Update: Just returned from Montana elk hunt. Binocs worked well. Clear, consistent, light enough to carry, low cost enough to not be overly concerned. Note, the 10-42 seems perfect for Midwest use but was limited for longer distances in mountains. Not an issue, more a comment.

This review is for the Vortex Crossfire HD Roof Prism 10×42 Binoculars.I own several pair of binoculars for a variety of reasons. From sports, birdwatching, hiking and stargazing the 10×42 Crossfire HD binoculars are amazing. The field of view is suitable for any occasion and their lightweight and ergonomic styling make long viewing sessions easy and manageable. The binoculars come with provisions to use with a tripod, a tripod adaptor is required. I recommend an adaptor designed specifically for roof prism binoculars. This will allow a full range of motion while adjusting your IPD settings. The Crossfire binoculars come with a very nice storage bag and has both a padded neck strap and a “glasspak” The glasspak allows you to carry the binoculars securely around your chest area for fast access when hunting or hiking. The neck strap is nice when you’re just casually moving around and do not mind a little bit of swing from the binoculars. Both the neck strap and glasspak are comfortable and function well for their intended purpose. These binoculars have become one of my favorites for stargazing, while I’m waiting for that clear shot of a planet, or some other celestial event. I pull the Crossfires out and watch the clouds drift by the moon or satellites zipping across the skies, all with crystal clear image clarity. You can pay a lot more money and get a lot less binocular, these Vortex HD Crossfires are worth every penny. For their versatility, build quality, adaptability and very reasonable price point, I give these binoculars 5 out of 5 stars.

A couple of years ago my Zeiss 8×20 pocket mini of 40 years of use took a swim which ruined the coatings. I began to use my backup pair of Nikon Sportstar III 8×25 DCF (now marketed as Trailblazer 8×25 ATB)-$87. Well I figured that it was time to purchase a new set of glass but I wasn’t going to spend a small fortune on the German name brands. After I saw the evaluation of the best binoculars under $400, the top brand was the Vortex Diamondback 8×28 which surprisingly was under $200, I thought this would be easy. Well, not so fast. My first requirement for a binocular is that it fit in my shirt pocket. With birding,it’s a game of seconds and mental concentration. One must go through a mental checklist very quickly. I don’t backpack any longer but enjoy much birding in a very large managed area and use my gravel bike to get to the distant pools. A Columbia shirt has two large breast pockets which were large enough for the Vortex. OK, but two things about the 8 x 28 bothered me. One, I needed a higher power and the eye relief at 18mm kept the binos too far from my brow. I like to have the edge of the eye cup touch the brow which helps to steady the shake factor.I next tried the Occer 15×30. For $37 this little rascal has pretty good glass. Problem is it’s not 25×30, it’s 8×25 and I wanted a set that will give me more detail on shorebirds. It’s a cheap build and I really don’t know if any of the specs are accurate. Still, it has pretty good glass and I think it shows that the Chinese mass production of optical glass has advanced quite a bit. Another bono in the gift pile.Next I tried out the Pentax UP 8-26×21 ($84) The specs looked good but OMG the optics were junk! The 8x had maybe 20% focus in the center and the 16x had none of the field in focus. Where was Quality Control? So back they go on the return truck.All this time I kept looking at my 2003 Nikons to get a baseline to compare the others to. It’s not a bad little bump with good clear optics and a wide FOV.So I bet you’re saying “what about the Vortex Diamondback 10×28”? Yep, I got it and after my efforts at learning about the competition , I’m so glad I did. The optics are excellent. I figure every person has their own subjective opinion on optics, but the Diamondback is not only very clear, but the colors are so vivid and the picture takes on a 3D effect. The eye relief is 16mm which is fine (I don’t wear glasses). The eye cups lock in two positions and feel very solid with no jiggle. Some have complained that there isn’t a lock for the diopter, but it doesn’t need one. The wheel is very tight with no way to accidentally move it. The aluminum frame is very solid and covered with rubber. The barrels are sealed and purged with Argon for waterproofing. This bono does not have a cheap feel to it, and best of all it’s only $144 on Amazon with free shipping! And it comes with the Vortex lifetime unconditionall warranty if it ever does have an accident! It’s been on two outings and so far I love it. Oh, and yes, it does fit in my shirt pocket.

Amazing set of optics. For me, they were a little bit pricey but if you look at these compared to the world of optics as a mid range budget option especially on sale for $225, these are just amazing. Very clear glass with all the adjustability and functionality you’ll ever need and the carrying case is an awesome bonus. I can differentiate a spike from a doe at over 250 yards out early morning no issue with the 12×50’s. Photos through glass do not give an accurate depiction, everything was much larger and clearer when looking through your own eyes compared to pictures I could get through them with an iphone camera which ranged from 25-100 yards shown. These are also very durable I dropped them probably 5 times just in a weekend hunting trip and survived perfectly fine sitting on the dash of a 4×4 being zigged and zagged all around on the dirt roads. I mean it’s vortex, everyone knows they make quality.

I seen the nikon monarch 5 but couldn’t afford it at rei. I researched a lot and found this. 5 foot close up focus great feal the grip is great. Its visually better than the nature dx but costs more. The neck strap is better than the nature dx 8×42 but like the 12×56 version really nice. The eye cup cover would not work great because the strap holes are on the right. I had to put it on upside-down. The front backpack is OK I got to get use to it. I think its the best value I found. Its hard to find a backup that comes close under 135./ i just tried the crossfire version its similar but the glare is night and day. The diamondback has better ant glare

After more than 10 years I had to replace my Nikon Monarch 8×42 Binoculars, but didn’t want to spend $330-$340 for the same ones. I asked AI what would be a good, lower-cost replacement, and these were the #1 recommendation at just under $200. I was pleasantly surprised that these have exceeded my expectations in every way … size & weight, build quality, and most importantly the optics, which are clear, crisp, and bright. The included, very well-fitted rubberized lens and eyepiece covers provide excellent protection and are easy to remove and replace. Vortex’s unlimited, unconditional, lifetime, VIP Warranty is a big big plus, and pretty unbelievable. If anything ever happens to these, I’ll never have to pay for new ones!

These are sweet. I have had the same model but 10×50 for the past year, for glassing my property, and I love them. I got these 8×32 for hunting. They are a great size and weight for the purpose, but what blows me away is they are way better than the 10×50! Everything in the picture is so much more crisp. FOV is so much better, as expected. Light transmission in cloudy evening is the same. Great binos.

I haven’t used them yet, but am looking forward to taking them on a trip to Maui. They seem like a quality product and easy to use. Four Stars because the “deluxe case” they come with is crap (mine was ripped on the sides)… you are going to want to purchase the GlassPak Binocular Harness and use that instead.

Great binoculars for birdwatching. I took them on a birdwatching trip to Costa Rica, and they were easy to travel with and performed well even in the rain when used with a cover. The strap is comfortable and easy to adjust, and the included case is excellent. Overall, they offer great optics, solid functionality, and are very user-friendly.

Excellent Binoculars for the price. Used primarily for bird watching and outdoor animal viewing. After almost three years of use, they are crystal clear and NO fogging (they get used in the rain from time to time). One of the eyecups got jammed, and I returned them to Vortex for warranty repair, Vortex is paying for shipping both ways, communication with the service department is also excellent. I did wait until the off season to send in for repair. Highly recommend.

This is my first pair of 10x42s, but I’ve used others before and can say that the image from these is by far the best! They let in plenty of light to give a crisp, colorful picture, making them a great option for birding. I haven’t had the chance to use the Glaspak case yet, but it’s well-built and will be perfect for kayaking and hiking excursions. Overall, I’m very pleased with everything about them and would highly recommend them, especially at the $95 price point here!

good optic for detail viewing within 300yrds. light weight comfortable grip. I generally avoid taking bino’s in the woods due to the weight and annoyance of carrying them swinging around my neck or in a pack. the chest harness is simple to put on makes carrying them no longer a chore. only grip is the bino case color and noise material could be softer inside i personally feel like i’m opening a bag of potato chips every time i take them out. Also not a fan of a bright white vortex badge on tan brown in the center of my chest during deer season seems like a great way to get shot. camo wrap tape and a sharpie to the rescue

First – I am not an expert on binoculars, nor do I need them for any super specialized reasons.I bought these to view my rain gauge from the door and for general use or looking at birds and wildlife.They work really well for me. Also, I have smaller hands, and they fit comfortably in them.My husband, who does have more knowledge and experience, uses them occasionally.Price, size, ease of use – I would recommend these for general use. They are small, so I don’t think they’d work well with someone who has shaky hands.

It shows one tiny object, I need a wider View. The advertisement picture showed a wider View so I am a little disappointed, but you get what you pay for

Great value and worked well for the kids on our roadtrip to Yellowstone. They each had one and loved using it to look at the animals. They were able to work the focus on their own and it was compact enough for them to keep in their pockets when we hiked around.

Product is compact as advertised. They easily folding making the binoculars slimmer. They are very lightweight. They function like any basic pair of binoculars and are easy to use. Was able to very clearly out of them. No instructions are needed. I have only had a chance to use them once and will update if they break sooner than expected. Only rating a 4 be ause I am not sure of the durability. They do come with a small string with really was not useful since it cant go around your neck. Also binoculars came with a cleaning cloth.

These are small – fit in the palm of my hand, easy to use, look well made and like they will hold up, they focus well and will be easy to take to baseball games or concerts this winter.

I went to see ATEEZ on July 21st at the Kia Center in Flordia and I got these to try and see how they worked and they WERE A GAMER CHANGERRR????????????. Me and my friends had got seats all the way up in the very top and in the back (Section 215 to 216 if you are curious how high up we were). I was hoping these would help me see better and they made the experience so much better and more memorable for everyone around us. If you are thinking of getting these I would say do it, the range is probably 100 to 200 feet away I’m not too sure but they let you see a good distance. Hope this helps anyone who is interested in this product it get 5/5 from me any day!Notes:- Super small and was let into the venue no problem.- Grip was super easy to hold on to and was perfect size to hold with 1 hand.- To see through the lens clearer all you had to do was simply spin the dial in the middle till it focused the best it could.- The quality was so good my camera picked it up better than I could???? my favorite thing to say while using them was “I can see them sparkling” I wasent joking even the people around me were asking where I got them from and what a good idea it was to bring them. (My phone is a Samsung A15 so this helped because my zoom is a bit older and it helped alot with the quality)- Super affordable- Sleek design- Only DOWNSIDE, You CAN NOT‼️Change how far away you see but the quality is better the farther away you are the closer you get to objects the blurry it may get or not be as focused.

Useful binoculars, but the eye rests are a little too small/unconfomfortable for adults. It was very useful though for watching a concert from across a stadium. Very nice, small and compact.

These binoculars fold to an unbelievably small size, but when opened up they seem like normal binoculars. The image is clear and crisp. The 12X magnification brings things in close but is not too strong to make them difficult to hold still. The quality is very good and this was a great value at less than $15! They also come with a nice vinyl case and a cleaning cloth. Lens caps are not included, but those are a nuisance to deal with anyway.

Took these to Rocky Mountain national park and they weren’t heavy duty but worked for our family to view things further away . Great compact size to keep in our back packs

Used them at football games, marching band competitions, and live theatre performances. I wear glasses and can easily focus them both with and without my glasses. They’re small enough to fit in a small purse and the case has belt loops, so you can wear them on your belt, too.

Honestly I got these to combat with a nosy neighbor! Now who’s the nosy one?? It worked and honestly they are good quality and you can see clearly. Easy to adjust focus and they are a pocket size. We ended up using them when we went on a trip and the size was perfect for fitting in my bag. Lightweight and easy to use.

I’ve been using these binoculars for a while and they have surprised me a lot. They are compact, lightweight and easy to carry in your bag or backpack, so I use them when I go for a walk or on a trip. The image looks very clear and sharp, even on cloudy days. I love that they are waterproof because I don’t have to worry if it rains a little.I tried them on a bird watching excursion and I could see the details of the feathers and colors with a lot of definition. I have also used them at concerts and outdoor events, and they work wonderfully. In addition, they fit well to the hands and do not feel heavy.

I these binoculars for a weekend camping trip, and they turned out to be such a great find! They’re lightweight, easy to adjust, and the image is surprisingly clear for the size. Absolutely brilliant! These Leacco 10×25 binoculars exceeded my expectations. They are compact and lightweight, perfect for taking anywhere. The image quality is stunning; the BAK4 prism and FMC lens deliver a bright, clear view, even in low light. I used them on a cruise and for birdwatching, and the view was fantastic. They are also waterproof, which gives great peace of mind. The field of view is excellent (114 m @ 1000 m). A highly recommended purchase!

Small but Powerful binoculars! I was skeptical at first because it kinda felt like cheap toy binoculars. However, they’re super compact and give a good magnification level. Really the strongest selling point is the affordability, power and compact size.

One of the net binoculars I have. Very good clarity and use to easy. Perfect size to fit in my pocket to carry out for traveling and watch birds. Pretty quality and easy to focus on flying objects without any delay. I like the most it is the weight which is super light to carry and put it in my backpack.
