A very nice light weight and well-built pool cleaner!
Item:AIPER Cordless Robotic Cleaner, Smart Navigation for Inground Pools up to 1,600 Sq.ft, Wall and Waterline Cleaning Vacuum, Scuba S1 (Renewed)Pros:-The Aiper Scuba S1 robotic swimming pool cleaner is a cordless light weight (25.8 pounds) rechargeable and easy to use! It does a great job cleaning a pool any shape up to 1600 square feet! It has a LED indicator for device status; pulsating indicated charging, and the color indicates percentage completed (red = 15%, yellow = 15-49%, blue = 50%, steady blue = 100%). Steady light indicated operation with the colors indicating the percentage level remaining as it cleans the pool. Red light flashing rapidly indicates an issue like filter blocked.-The robot has one button for easy operation. Hold the button down for 2 seconds and the unit will activate, it will stay on but not operate for 30 seconds while it checks to see if it is submerged in water, it checks ever 10 seconds for 3 times, and if not in water after the third time it will shut down automatically. It has 4 modes of operation all accessible by selecting the one on/off button each time to move from mode to mode. It has 4 LED lights across the dashboard to show you the mode of operation. The default mode is the Automatic mode which auto selects by simply turning the unit on, this mode will clean the walls, water line, and floor. The second mode if for the pool floor only (which is the mode I use the most, does a great job quickly). Mode three is wall/water line only (good for algae removal), and the fourth mode is the Eco mode which cleans the pool floor for 45 minutes once every 48 hours for one week when fully charged. This is great for when you leave the premise for a week trip, and you come back to a clean pool ready to use!-The robot pool cleaner uses unique specific patterns that covers the entire pool without a lot of repetitive paths making it easy for it to get edges/corners without intervention.-Because it is cordless and light weight, I clean the pool more often because it’s easy. I have two other robot cleaners, one that came with the pool (has its own pump) but it is very small and take a long time to clean the pool (I don’t use it anymore); another one I purchase several year ago is electric (you have to deal with a cord) and it’s heavy, you have to really need to clean the pool to want to use it, I haven’t use this pool cleaner since I got the Aiper Scuba S1!-Comes with a 120V charger, one filter basket, and a retrieval hook that attaches to your pool pole to remove the unit from the pool. When the unit has finished cleaning the pool, it will go to a pool wall slightly tilted upward and park so you can easily use the retrieval hook to remove the unit. The filter is easy to clean, just lift the hood, use the handle on the filter and lift it upward, open the filter lid, turn it upside down and hose it off! The fine mesh filter captures very fine dirt/sand particles and is large enough for leaves and other debris. It comes with a 2-year warranty. Easy, easy, easy!!!Cons:-None, very well-designed and very durable!Other Thoughts:-When placing in the water push the rear end down so the unit will fill with water fast and begin cleaning quickly.

This is our second Aiper (a/k/a “the Scrubber”). This is handy as when the battery on the original “Scrubber” runs down, we can connect the charger and start up the second “Scrubber” while the original is charging – so we have a “Scrubber” running several times a day.We are very pleased with the “Scrubber” – no connecting hose to snag, kink or get in the way of swimmers, no noisy pump motor to burn out and no blast of water against the house, windows, swimmers or guests when the tail breaks the surface of the water and ejects a spray. The debris basket is just average size but easy to clean out when its full. The “Scrubber” can be easily retrieved with the provided hook that you attach to a typical pool-pole. Since our pool is about 9’ deep, we use an extendable pole so we can reach it when it rests at the bottom near the drain. When you retrieve the unit, it will be a little heavy until the water drains out.The light pulsates blue when the battery is charging and is steady when it is fully charged. When in use, the light starts steady blue, then yellow and finally red as it stops. It does not clean pool steps or the wall/bottom joints very well but our previous motorized cleaner didn’t either – so use a pool brush! My nit-picky criticism is regarding the charger connection plugs. For charging, the plug on the cord is solid and easily inserts and fits the charger connection. Before submerging, you disconnect the solid plug and cap the connector on the “Scrubber” with a soft plug that seals the connection– but the soft plug is so soft and pliable that it is hard to securely press it in place. But it is easy to use and works well so it still gets a 5 rating. The unknown for the moment is longevity and durability so I will update if that is disappointing.UPDATE: Right after this review, and on the 364th day since it was purchased, the battery on our first Aiper quit charging. I contacted their customer service and they said at my option they would either repair it or send a refurbished unit. Can’t beat that for honoring their warranty. 5 star rating continues. . .
