I have a large firepit with a fairly high domed spark screen. This cover fits it perfectly and extends down to cover the feet. The cover has an elastic & drawstring to secure it in place during windy weather, but it is loose enough to be easily removed. It is waterproof. The color is black & looks great. I expect it will be quite durable & is the second one I have purchased. The 1st one was in 2020 & lasted more than 4 years out in the New England weather. I think it’s a good, functional product & is reasonably priced..

I reordered this firepit cover almost 3 years to the day of my first order. My firepit is 26″square and about 28″ high. The cover could accommodate a larger firepit. The edges have elastic and there are clips which can be used to anchor the cover to the firepit. 3 years is about its life expectancy. It became stiff and brittle a few months ago leading it to rip easily if you are rough in handling it, which I was. However I noticed that even with a few rips it still seemed to protect the fire pit from rain. I think the cover has extended the life of my firepit. It’s great for the winter. Given the smaller size of my firepit I was able to put it under the feet of the firepit, raising it off the surface of my patio. My firepit cover is pretty but white is not the color I would choose for a firepit cover. My cover is exposed to weather all of the time. So it does get dirty and fades. ( never tried washing mine) I would definitely recommend this cover.

This was a perfect fit for our fire table, the construction is sturdy, and the elastic cords do a great job of securing it in place even in gusty thunderstorms. This cover held up to 4+ years of exposure to the elements–rain, thunderstorms, hail, wind, UV, ice, and snow–without any substantial water ingress, and without any mechanical failures.Please note that UV did in fact fade the cover to a light grey, but it continued to work well as a waterproof cover. By four years, there were a few minor tears here and there. Nonetheless, if I hadn’t damaged it during a botched cleaning (my fault!), I think the cover would have lasted for a few more years. I had no qualms about immediately ordering an identical replacement.

When I was living aboard a boat,I learned about the importance of a tank gauge. If you are not going to be using propane for a period of time, for instance a day, you close the tank valve and make a note of the level on the gauge.When you resume the propane use: before opening the tank valve, check the level. If it is not exactly the same as you left it, you know that your system is leaking. FIND OUT WHY because when the valve is open, your living space (or your grill) is filling up with propane.The minor reason to have a gauge, on your grill for instance, is the convenience of knowing when it’s time to refill:Before it’s empty.This gauge is of acceptable quality and has worked as it should for over a year.

So far, I am really pleased with the design and performance of the Calpose 100% brass in-line propane tank gauge. The 3-color coded progress bar (green, yellow and red colors) on the gauge gives me an indication of how much propane is left in the tank based on the outside air ambient temperature, an important feature not found on many other propane gauges. By using this gauge, I can monitor the propane gas level in the tank, so I don’t unexpectedly run out of propane gas during my outdoor grill cooking. One of the most important safety features of this gauge is that has been reviewed and approved by CSA (Canadian Standard Association), a recognized independent testing laboratory and that gives me confidence that this gauge has been analyzed and approved by their safety engineers. I reviewed several of the negative comments about this gauge and my take on it is as follows. Since manufacturer’s operating instructions were not included with this gauge, I feel that many users were not informed on how to properly install and use this gauge. First of all, on the gauge itself, the hand-tightened black knob connections must be securely threaded onto each end, one onto the propane tank itself and the other on to the flexible propane gas line going to the grill, to prevent any propane leaks at these connection points. Secondly, when the propane tank gas is not being used, the propane tank main on/off value should be securely closed, and you should not rely on the grill’s on/off gas valve to hold back the propane gas from escaping from the tank. The only downside to this propane gauge was the fact that there were no manufacturer’s instructions provided on how to install nor properly use this propane gauge nor troubleshoot any operating situations you may have with this gauge. Other than that, it appears to be a good gauge.

Works great and keeps our deck warm during cold spring and fall weather the cover keeps it protected from weather and extends its life and look.

This cover is low cost and should serve the purpose. It fit well without being too loose or too tight. Pay close attention to the measurements of your heater to select the proper cover. The material is thin and the zipper is not at all heavy duty so I’m not sure how long it will last. If I manage to get one winter season out of it I’ll consider myself lucky. Hopefully I’m wrong and it is more robust than it seems. But having said that, it’s a $20 cover and I didn’t expect it be heavy duty.

I love that it has straps at the bottom that you can unclip wrap around the leg and then clip back together. Making sure it’s going nowhere no matter how crazy the wind gets. My order arrived and the item was new, clean, and nicely packed. This cover feels very nice and sturdy. The fabric is on the medium-weight side and the black color is great. I cannot speak to whether it will fade over time because I haven’t had it long. Either way, next spring I plan to give it a little extra protection with Scotchgard Water & Sun Shield like I do with all my outdoor furniture covers. There is a pocket, but it’s upside down with the opening on the bottom. I’m sure there’s a good reason for the pocket being there and in the position it is, but I just haven’t discovered it yet and I haven’t gone back to read the product description to see if it’s mentioned.My fire pit measures 34×34 and is 25” high with the spark screen on it. I really wanted a cover that went all the way to the ground to cover the entire pit, but I wasn’t having much luck finding something that fit the bill.At 36×36 and 20” high, this cover is a little bigger than my fire pit. However, the 20” height is the best I was able to find so I bought it and took a chance that it would cover enough of the fire pit feet that it wouldn’t matter so much. Surprisingly, it covers the ENTIRE fire pit from top to bottom with the spark screen in place, as shown in the photo. I was thrilled!Functionality – the cover does exactly what it says it will. We’ve had lots of heavy rains since I purchased this cover and so far it’s doing a very nice job of keeping the fire pit dry and protected from the rain.The only thing I would change are the connectors that go around the feet of the pit to hold the cover on. I would have preferred a bungee type strap that could be easily tightened over the clip type strap that this cover has for a bit of a snugger fit. Also, there are only 2 straps on opposite corners of this cover which could allow the cover to lift if the wind gets it just right. Four (4) straps would make it much more secure. Definitely not a deal breaker, but would be a nice upgrade option. Great value for how nice this cover is. I would absolutely buy again.

I purchased this to help heat my uninsulated garage while I work or exercise there. It starts and functions OK. Our church had used the smaller version to help heat a smaller room. I intend to connect a 20lb propane tank. Just remember, if you smell propane, something may be leaking! It needs one AAA battery to operate the spark starter. I did not realize that it has a small 6VDC fan which requires 4 D cells or you can purchase an AC to 6VDC adapter. I notice that the adapter jack on the heater unit requires a + male pin on the cord which is not as common as a + female socket.

Love it! I needed another Big Buddy heater for hunting. Electric igniter is a lot quieter than my old one . Makes me want to update my old one! Excellent all around!

I just got it today, so I can’t rate it yet. Not even hooked up yet! Need to wait a week or two to ask customers to rate a product.But, I’ve bought the same thing before & it works great!

This heater is great. On low, you can get 10 hours of heating. Anything else, you’ll be blowing through propane tanks. I wish they were cheaper to buy the tanks.

This heater works great for heating our kitchen. I did need to buy a new hose to connect to the 15 lb propane tank. The previous heater I had stopped working on the low setting. I tried unsuccessfully to fix it, so I got this one.

I purchased the Big Buddy heater in October 2011 as an emergency heater (we were in the early part of a snowstorm-induced 5 day power/heat outage). It works with those disposable 1lb propane tanks; I also purchased the quick-connect hose adapter to allow me to connect it to a standard “grill sized” 20lb propane tank (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UC7966)I used this heater for indoor emergency heat during that October 2011 outage, and again this year during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, when we were without power / heat for two weeks (and again, treated to a snowstorm). Have not used this heater for regularly heating my home, or for any other purpose such as heating a garage, heating any outdoor area, etc. So my review is based on use as a residential heating appliance in emergency situations.In my experience, this heater performs very well, and I can’t think of anything that I think needs to be changed or improved. It’s lightweight, portable, and reliable. It puts out a good amount of heat, and functions well as a room heater in our old, drafty house. I did not detect any odor or fumes when using the heater. Nonetheless, as with any non-vented combustible heater, one must be careful because ALL such heaters will output carbon monoxide, and you need to make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector in the room you will be using it.I prefer to use this heater with the 1lb disposable propane bottles (the heater uses two of them at a time). It makes the heater much more portable. But more importantly, I have come to understand that it is very dangerous to bring a 20lb propane tank indoors, because of the risk of leakage (propane is a gas that is heavier than air, and it will invisibly pool on the floor and could ignite if it encounters a source of ignition, such as a gas stove pilot light, or a furnace pilot light, etc.) I had never realized the lingering danger that propane presents to indoor use. Outside, or in certain indoor locations that have lots of venhilation, such as barns, sheds, etc., you can count on the fact that the propane will dissipate before it becomes a danger; the same is not true in most residential houses.In truth, even a 1lb bottle of propane can be a risk indoors, it’s just a lesser risk due to the lesser amount of potential leakage. It’s no fault of the heater, it’s just a fact with propane as a fuel source, and one must really understand this when making decisions about these types of heaters.By contrast, with something like a kerosene heater, you sometimes hear comments about how it might smell (I think mostly this is due to either a faulty or old heater, or improper operation/maintenance). But at least with kerosene, it will not give off vapors that can spontaneously ignite and explode, and you can be pretty sure that, so long as you are following proper procedure and refueling outdoors when the heater is cool etc., it’s not going to explode on you. Propane is, in my opinion, a more dangerous indoor fuel, because you are at possible risk of mechanical failures (e.g. leaking valves on even the 1lb propane bottles, or some internal leak in the heater).I would not run either a propane or a kerosene heater at night while I’m sleeping.Anyway, taking into consideration the above points about propane, the Big Buddy heater does what it’s supposed to do, and does it very well. With two 1lb bottles of propane attached, we could use it to heat up the kitchen in the AM to take the chill off, have breakfast, and get the kids dressed. Then I would turn off the heater, store it outside (just in case it started leaking), and bring it back inside in the evenings to use for a few hours when the house started getting cold after the sun went down, to eat dinner and get the kids ready for bed. I would run it mostly on high or medium, and that’s enough to heat a large room in our drafty old house. Using the heater in this manner, I would burn two 1 lb bottles per day.As a short term fuel, the 1lb bottles are great. But as a longer-term fuel source, it would be expensive. I do have the connector hose to connect it to the 20lb tank, which works great and I have done that a few times (leaving the 20 lb tank outside on the porch and leaving the door open a crack to allow the hose into the house to connect to the heater). But the more I learned about propane, the more hesitant I became about using it like this, even with the tank outside. My concern is a leak somewhere along the rubber hose, or again, maybe somewhere within the heater, and connected to a 20lb tank that could dump a lot of propane inside the house that could ignite if it lingers and finds a source of ignition. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this heater outdoors or in any of those garage/barn type of situations, where it would be great and you wouldn’t have the same concerns about leaking propane.I’m giving this 5 stars because I do think this heater performs great for its intended purpose. It’s far superior to a kerosene heater in terms of its portability and transport for things like outdoor sporting activities, etc. It’s clean (as clean as it can be anyway), reliable heat. But I wrote all of the concerns I had about the fuel source generally, so that one could make an informed purchase decision.For an emergency home heater, I also picked up a kerosene heater. It’s good to have two options, as fuel can be difficult to find (as I found out during our 2 week outage!) and those of us without a lot of outdoor storage space would have difficulty safely storing enough propane (I don’t have a garage or shed, where I would preferably store the propane, so I keep it in one of those weatherproof plastic outdoor boxes you can buy for gardens supplies etc.).

This is a nice looking fire pit. It was pretty simple to assemble and didn’t take long. We have yet to use it but it seems sturdy. I love how it can be used a table and the cover is very beneficial.

Nice size and works great. My son put it together very quick so all the reviews I read about it being difficult to put together was not an issue for us. It looks great, we roasted marshmallows and cooked burgers. The fire pit bowl is deep so there wasn’t smoke blowing in our face and we were able to build a beautiful fire.

Great packing. Easy to assemble, I got the large size. I think the price is a GREAT VALUE!! I did look around and this is definitely the best bang for your buck especially this size!!!I would have given it a 5 star but I decided to add more washers for support on all screws, the metal could have been a tad bit thicker and the heated treated paint was thin as well. So I repainted some scratchers. The paint was $7 and washers were $1.I will update my review in 1-3 months..Oh I also added a stack of 3 bricks underneath at the center for more support and a bag of lava rock for drainage and air follow plus I drilled 4 small drain holes and repainted them.The last couple pics are the washers and the weld spot I had to repaint because of rust.

This was a perfect fit for my propane firepit to sit in. (see pic) Love the table area around the pit to be able to sit drinks etc on. I did think I had to knock something off to be able to insert my propane firepit but it was not that difficult. Ive had this now for 3 years and it has not rusted at all…but I do keep it covered though.

What a GREAT choice it was to buy this fire pit! It works so perfectly for our needs. We’ve grilled steaks as well as hotdogs so far. We just moved to Northern Arizona and it sure gets cold at night. Light this bad boy up and BOOM, warmth! LOVE IT!

Bought this as a birthday gift for my sister who entertains in her back yard often. She love s it! Easy to assemble and looks great.

It’s a good fire pit and works well. However the instructions give a full count of all of the pieces and the number of bolts required to assemble and all of the parts listed were available in the box. The issue I ran into is they supply 32 M6 12 mm bolts, and the fire pit needs 40 bolts. So I had to go out to a hardware store to get the rest that I needed!

We love it. We have only had it for a few days, but it’s really brought a lot of pleasure to our evenings at home. It was easy to assemble and looks great. We have a mat to put under it so we can use it on the deck too. I can hardly wait for my first cookout!

It was relatively easy to put together as the instructions are fairly well written. I (having to wear reading glasses) had to use a magnifying glass to double-check the direction of the bolts and nuts in a few spots. It took me about an hour by myself to assemble.Now for the quality: Everything is of very acceptable quality and the assembled heater really looks GREAT! (We have the black).Tank installed now and it works perfectly. I particularly like the access holes in the base that allow you to easily turn the gas tank on and off. They are also the way you lift the base cover to install/change the tank.Very well done East Oak. I will look at your other stuff now (I did get the cover for this heater already).

This thing is awesome! We’ve had it for about 2 years and every time we use it, we’re reminded how great it is. It’s super easy to assemble and if you’re willing to work hard enough, it will fit a 30 gallon LP tank. You can comfortably sit 10 feet away from this thing and still feel the heat. Sitting right underneath is perfect. If I were smart enough and not accident prone with power tools, I’d build a table to fit around it and use it for outside entertaining. But, it works perfect for sitting out and handing out candy on Halloween or sitting out on the deck or porch on a cool night.

Have to say it’s a really nice heater. Tall for sure. Maybe to tall. Especially if trying to put a cover on it.After installing on deck and lighting it have to say it’s got the right amount of heat. I added a heat shield , which was a pain in the ass to put together but works well non the less. Will see if it holds up to cold weather here in the north east. Stainless steel features and looks good too. Installed in no time, directions were good too. Now let’s see if it has the guts to work its magic. Time will tell. Follow up coming.

I set this up in my pavillion to keep me and my family warm when cooking in colder weather. I grill year round and wanted something like this. I got 2 on sale and theu work awesome. Set up was easy and it is simple to use. If you want a good umbrella heater for a great price, this is it.

The initial item arrived on time and the instructions included were easy to read and assimbly went quicky. However, the igniter was not effective and the heater would not light. I reported this problem to the company and was immediately provided with a replacement unit which, when re-esembled, worked perfectly. I am very impressed with the customer service staff and the quality of the product and highly recommend this company to others.

Nice unit but it arrived damaged, way to much trouble to pack it up and ship it back. Cosmetic issues, nothing that will affect operation.Update…I added the sand box, made it a bit more stable.UPDATEWas able to use a Mallet to fix minor Dents, Tweaked a few things and this unit works great, it’s not going to change 30 degrees to 60 but then again I didn’t pay for that.If you ever have to contact customer service be prepared to be wowed, Mia was fantastic!! I bought two of these racks to store the wood I chopped this season, and they’ve been working great. They’re sturdy, hold a good amount of firewood, and were easy to put together. The design feels solid and stable even when fully loaded, and the cover fits well to keep everything dry.One small tip: since they’re black, they will fade a bit if left out in the sun for a long time. Mine have started to look a little sunbleached after a few months of direct exposure, so if you can, keep them shaded or covered.Other than that, these are awesome for keeping firewood organized and off the ground. Definitely worth it for anyone who wants a simple, dependable storage solution!

Very sturdy and hold about 1/8 of a cord of wood which works for me since I only have a small firepit. If you have anything bigger then I would suggest the 8’ rack because it hold more

Absolutely worth the price. It’s small and a perfect size for my small backyard. The tubes are strong built for weight.Only 1 PROBLEM: the rack cover is oversized to compensate for the wide logs.Do I had a piece of wood cut to the true size of the cover top, and secured it to the top bars (via u brackets). Now it works perfect. See pics.

After I went through the trouble of assembling the wood storage frame, I noticed one of the Velcro straps was sewn into the cover. Rolling up the front cover doesn’t work as well. I’m told my only recourse is to take the frame apart, bag the parts, box them then bring to UPS for return. I’m disappointed that this is my only recourse. My advice is, you must act as your own quality control and even check the seeing on this product before you commit time to put this thing together.

This rack assembled easily and I filled it completely with hard wood and it is sturdy! Did not bow… the canvas cover is amazing and this product is well worth the price. I just ordered a 4 foot one as well to complete the deck area.

I have 3. They work amazing. Put out great heat. Not too.bad to assemble. Easy to light and stay lit They look great and professional. The wheels make them easy to move. For the most part they dont get bothered by the wind unless it’s very big wind. I recommend the heat shield to direct some heat and stop wind. I also recommend the covers. They are a must have and work great. But weather is hard on things but hwve lasted years and protected the heaters. Very happy and love them. They are a must have hence why I have 3 lol.

Excellent value. Well made and works good. Don’t forget you have to provide your own propane tank. I have had these in the past and they would be difficult to start up. This one starts first time and burns clean and warm. It throws off heat for about a 6 foot radius so if you need to cover more area you will likely need a different type of heater.

I had initially filled the base with water, but it leaked so I skipped that step and will fill it with sand at a later date. The rest was a breeze. I completed putting it together and moved it outside on our screened in porch (high ceilings) attached the propane tank and it was flame on the first time I tried. The wife was pleased because she now had a heat source on the porch so people can gather and sit outside and talk or spill over from the family Christmas Dinner and if Momma’s happy……well, you know the rest.FOLOW UP…..The after party…..just wanted to let you know that Christmas Day couldn’t have been better and much of it was because of the utility of the heater. We burned it, with kids sitting under it chatting, for hours after opening presents and sitting outside for dinner. Granted, it was almost 50 degrees but it worked great. It also allowed a place for the kids late in the evening to sit and swap stories. Couldn’t have been any better if it was the 4th of July. Thanks Amazon for great and speedy service….as always.

Works well. Word of advice…be prepared to look for assembly instructions on ChatGPT. There is nothing more than a list of parts and less than useful diagrams with NO specific steps or what bolts/nuts to use to assemble. I’m being kind by giving it a 4 star for that reason

Where to begin…. First, I guess, a disclaimer: I have assembled the unit, but haven’t yet turned it on, so this review is based on my “assembly” experience.The first thing you’re supposed to do is disassemble the base unit from its housing & fill it with sand or water. I chose water because I live in rural Vermont & don’t have access to sand.Once you complete that, you’re instructed to reattach the collar to the base unit using the four screws & bolts you previously removed to take the it apart. Easy enough, right? Except that when you tighten them, you must be real careful. After the reassembly, there was water all over the floor, BECAUSE THE NUTS WENT RIGHT THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE BASE. Furthermore, there was absolutely no reason to take the base apart – you can fill it while it’s together.I probably should have stopped & asked for a return at that point, but the shipping carton arrived in deplorable condition, & there was no way I would have been able to put it back in the box.Next problem – Step3 (& I have read & reread the assembly instructions to see if I messed this up) is for the attachment of the “Post Supports.” WHAT THEY DON’T EXPLAIN IS THAT THEY ARE NOT IDENTICAL! TWO HAVE SMALL HOLES ON THE UPRIGHTS THAT ARE NEEDED IN (GET THIS) STEP 11, BASICALLY THE LAST STEP OF THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS! IF YOU DON’T PUT THE ONE POST WITHOUT THE SMALL HOLES IN BETWEEN THE OTHER TWO, YOU’LL HAVE TO TAKE THE ENTIRE UNIT APART TO REPOSITION THEM CORRECTLY AFTER YOU THINK YOU’RE DONE!In Step 9, there is no guidance in which side of the REFLECTOR PIECES the CAP NUT should be secured to (how the screw & nut should be inserted). I took a chance & attached them to the bottom – hope I’m right….At NO POINT in the instructions do they tell you to attach the UPPER POST (F) to the LOWER POST (G), but I’m just being picky here – that’s kind of easy to figure out.In Step 11, you are instructed to put your propane tank “on top of the “Post Supports.” This is an obvious mistake, as it the tank sits on the base BETWEEN the Post Supports. Then you’re asked to “SECURE THE PROPANE TANK BY ATTACHING THE CHAIN (L) TO THE POST SUPPORTS.”AT THIS POINT, I HAD TO TAKE THE UNIT APART AND REPOSITION THE POST SUPPORTS TO BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE THE DAMN CHAIN, & THEN REASSEMBLE IT!Hope this is useful should you decide to purchase this item.
