I have tried 3 styles of lavalier mics for iPhone/Android/PC/Mac. These have the rectangular, “thumb drive” style mic. These were cheapest I found, that included dead cat windscreens. There is a pretty loud pop/buzz when I turned mute on or off. That is somewhat annoying, but another one I used did the same thing. I recommend NOT having the speaker use the on-mic button and just mute on the device or edit the audio after the fact. The sound quality of these lavs is actually very good for mics this inexpensive.The mics and receiver worked perfectly. My iPhone, using the USB-C to Lightning adaptor (included), paired and I was ready to record. I had basically the same experience using Lightning adaptor on iPad, iPhone, as well as USB-C (no adaptor) on Mac and Windows. I was immediately able to record using Twisted Wave (INCREDIBLE iOS recorder/editor, BTW!), GarageBand, and Audacity. I don’t have an Android, so I couldn’t test that.Dead cat (“fluffy”) windscreens are definitely superior to black foam. There are use cases where the dead cat is not best so it is nice to have both. Noise cancellation wasn’t exceptional. My mini-fridge fan was LOUD when the mic was too close but fine farther away. I don’t think exceptional noise cancellation should be expected in this price range.Dead cats: The fuzzy/hairy/fluffy, gray coversThey look good and do their job (less wind noise, even from breath). The ONLY complaint I have with the dead cats is getting them BACK ON. Another reviewer recommend a pair of “dull scissors” to spread open the elastic. I used needle nose pliers instead and that worked very well.TO PUT THE DEAD CATS BACK ON:-stick the tip of the needle nose into the elastic opening at the bottom.-carefully and gently open the needle nose to make a space for the lab mic-insert mic head into the opening in the elastic-once it is in slightly, you will have to work it all the way down until it fits in the groove for the elastic about 1/4″ down the mic headThere you go, easy way to put the dead cats back on. Now you don’t have to fear swapping the foam/dead cats for a given scenario!SUMMARY:Very decent mics. Good voice quality. Virtually no setup, plug and play. Mute button is noisy. Noise cancellation isn’t amazing. Overall very good for the price. These have the “thumb drive” rectangular shape, rather than the tube shape, if that matters to you. They work as expected.ADVICE:I used a different style that was just a few dollars more. The price was originally the same, but these dropped a few dollars after I bought the others. (10 vs. 15?) The others had 2 extra foam tips (total of 4) and 2 extra mic clips. They were the tubular style lav body rather than this rectangle style. If they are the same price as these, I would recommend them because the extra foam and clips could prove useful and the sound/quality was very similar. If these are cheaper, then you can decide what is best for your needs.

This was an absolutely fantastic mic that I used on a soccer field when finishing my D License. It worked with my iPhone with no additional configuration. It came charged from the factory, though I did top it off. The clip worked well and it was lightweight. We used the wind muff on it and it did cut down excess wind noise and breath sounds.It is not obtrusively large and is pretty small and packs a punch as a mic. The recording quality was great and it worked about 10 meters away but we have also had them where they were fine the width of a soccer field.

I mean, i didn’t expect it to be perfect for the price I paid for. But i’d pay some more for better quality. Here’s what I bothered me about this product: 1. Bluetooth connectivity was smooth with no issue. But there’s lagging on outputting my voice through the speaker. It’s almost like hearing yourself when you talk to someone over the phone. It’s like a split second of delay, but it still bothers me. 2. The eco control functionality. Either there’s too much of eco or none. I can’t control it to be in between no matter how hard I try. 3. You MUST project your voice directly to the top of mic. Otherwise it does not pick up your voice.The other things that I found that might be helpful to others is that it doesn’t get much loud even maximizing the volume control. It didn’t bother me much, but something to keep in mind.Also, I dont get why Bonaok didn’t make something that cost in between this product and the professional one ????‍♂️

A friend of mine got a set of $350 Bose headphones for Xmas, but when I bought this set, I didn’t care if I could crank it up until my eardrums broke. I listen to these almost every morning when I’m really busy being creative and in need to keep stray thoughts from ruining my creativity buzz. The headphones are inexpensive and those who do not need them as a status symbol will find these ‘phones are an excellent purchase. Recharging is easy. And using the little buttons is almost as easy as listening to internet radio as an alternative to, say, weird news that continues to occur like some kind of hip-hop binge that went south. The bluetooth connectivity is good and one can wear them all around one’s limited digs.

I was skeptical but decided to take a chance on these. I wondered: was it possible for someone to produce a quality product at such a low price? After opening the box and testing, I was disappointed! I used the 3.5mm cable, and the sound was not good. I switched to the 6.5mm cable, and it was much improved. I compared the sound quality to my Sony MDR-7506 headphones, and there was a “slight” sound quality difference. I discovered that I didn’t have the 3.5mm cable plugged in correctly, and afterwards, the sound was just as good. So far, so good! These won’t replace my other headphones, but they’re pretty close. I would recommend giving them a try if you’re on a budget.

When it comes to electronics, there are name brands that want to charge you an arm and a leg, and then there are thousands of unknown brands that over saturate the market. I was blown away by the build quality when these came in. They are sturdy, they feel great of your head – not loose like they’re gonna fall off, and not gonna give you a headache after wearing them for a while. They adjust enough, it could be more. They ears flip in 180 degree motion. One nice touch is that the cable it comes with not only is also quality but gives you the options for 1/8 and 1/4 in jacks on each side, so depending on what you need to plug into, your covered. They have a wireless battery powered version, but I elected to go with the cable one. May try that one out next. This brand is apparently making a name for themselves because of the price to performance and value.

Bought these a year ago after my expensive professional headset died . Was pleasantly surprised at how well these worked . Plus really liked the dual plugin feature that makes it possible to add a second headset directly to this headset . My main studio professional ones were an “open- back” model, which is a feature I decided I really did not like for my usage so I was planning to cover them a thin sheet of lead. When I fixed the old ones and put them back into use , I did not retire the OneOdio set , instead I plugged both sets together using the extra plugin jack on the OneOdio and put it on top of the “open backed”set. It added fidelity through the open-backs instead of losing fidelity , it also gripped my head more tightly which was also a plus. If someone else is in the studio with me I can let them use one of them so that they can hear what I am hearing .

Bought this for my son and it works well at any distance. Lightweight but very easy to use and solid in place. He has moved it around and is able to use it in many versatile ways. Size is perfect for a desk setup or even on a boom stand. Mic sensitivity is pretty good we have tested talking in different areas at different volumes and it picks up what we want and doesn’t what we didn’t want it do.

Got this microphone as an upgrade from another Fifine one. My use is light which is just discord calls with friends and conference meetings at work. It looks great in white and fits my setup.I use it in USB mode, and it was basically plug-and-play no extra drivers needed and every one I talked to said that the sound quality is clear, crisp, and arguably professional. The built-in gain knob are super convenient, and I like having a physical mute button, In my opinion all microphones should have one.If I had to nitpick, I’d say the buttons could be improved, they are touch-sensitive and easy to activate by accident, especially if you don’t care for RBG like me, who keeps having it turning on whenever I go to move the mic around.Also, if you plan to use XLR, you’ll need to provide your own cable and interface. But overall, for the price, the FIFINE mic delivers excellent value.

Honestly I had a Shure microphone before i got this one, this microphone works really well for streaming and discord calls. I haven’t had any problems with this microphone what so ever compared to the shure microphone that I did have. I would recommend this microphone to people if they want to stream but can’t afford a super expensive one. It’s really good quality and durable for what I was looking for. The sound quality also comes off really well, it picks me up whenever I need it. The cable also came with an adapter to plug in with a USB, it was super easy to connect to the pc as well. 10/10.

I bought this to film some sewing tutorials for youtube. I’m also a big fan of asmr and played around with it and surprisingly got good results! It’s easy to connect and I just bought some wind covers to help with “P” sounds from peaking the volume. I feel like there are a lot of jokes about these mics being meh, but unless you’re someone who works with audio and can hear the minor differences, I think this is a very good mic for the majority of people. For asmr, streaming, or nice sounding voice overs I really recommend it!

This is my second Blue Yeti, and honestly, I’m impressed all over again. My first one was one of the originals, bought somewhere around eight years ago, back when these things first hit the scene. That mic lived a rough life. It survived backpack rides, road trips, and more “oops” moments than I’ll admit in print. It finally gave out after years of abuse, but considering what it went through, I can’t even be mad.The new one sounds just as good, maybe better, and the software is a nice upgrade. The voice filters are great for anyone who wants to sound like they know what they’re doing. There’s a broadcaster setting that gives you that warm “I host a late-night talk show” tone, plus podcast and voice-changer options. You can sound like a pro, a robot, or a robot hosting a podcast if that’s your thing.Durability-wise, this mic still feels like a tank. You can toss it in a bag, haul it to events, or set it up in your living room studio, and it’ll just keep doing its job.My one gripe is the mini-USB port. It’s 2025. We have self-driving cars and refrigerators that talk, but somehow this mic is still rocking mini-USB. Most people under 25 probably think that’s a fossil from a museum. This microphone feels very robust and solid. it is made out of non-flimsy, heavy duty feeling aluminum. I find the sound quality is superb for a device in the ~$100 range. I have not found a way to use it as an external mic to my galaxy S23 ultra. but I probably haven’t found all the proper hardware yet. its definitely not plug and play from that perspective, since the phone cant power the microphone (there are no separate power input and audio jacks). I am happy with my purchase.

It isnt the BEST option for a USB mic, but it is a pretty decent option. If you’re on a budget, get the Snowball. Otherwise, this mic is still a good choice. Especially for a USB mic.Context: I purchased this mic for gaming. Not for making videos on YouTube, making podcasts, or recording music. I keep the mic pretty close to my face (probably 3-5 inches away). I initially expected keeping the mic that close to my face to keep noise isolation to a minimum as I want to sound good to my friends in Discord and people in my games.Blue Yeti is a big mic, so keep that in mind. You’ll need a lot of space in front of you if you plan on playing games with the mic sitting between you and your keyboard on the stand that comes with it. You should definitely consider an arm to keep desk space free. This will also reduce keyboard noise.My bedroom (where I use this mic) has wooden floors and is fairly spacious. So that means there’s a bit of echo normally. The mic is very sensitive to background noise. Even with the mic close to me (and the gain turned very low), it picks up echo. It isn’t an annoying amount of echo, but there certainly isnt great noise isolation. I can only imagine how this thing sounds with it far away from you. It also seems to pick up keyboard noise. I own a membrane keyboard (Razer Deathstalker Chroma), so its surprising that it picks up keyboard noise. I’m sure a mechanical keyboard would be quite audible. I’m sure if your room has lots of things to soak up any echo, noise isolation wont be an issue. But I’m not about to put foam padding all over my walls just to get better noise isolation. This also means that background noise (such as loud roommates) is easily picked up by this mic.This mic picks up more bass than I’m used to, so it’ll make your voice sound a little deeper than it actually is. It still does sound quite clear, its just bassier than I’m used to.My friend also described that, compared to the headset I previously owned, that this mic has a lot of reverb (not really echo). I dont know if it’s the arm that the Yeti is sitting on vibrating because of my voice, or if its because of the Yeti itself. I’m willing to bet it has something to do with the Yeti.If you’re looking for a good USB mic, you should consider either the Blue Snowball or the Blue Yeti. My roommate owns a Snowball, and the cable broke not too long after he bought it (which is a drawback to that mic). This mic, however, doesnt seem to have that headache of a cable problem (no extreme bends necessary in the cable). Other than that, Snowball (first impressions) has better noise isolation than this mic, but Yeti sounds a bit clearer overall in my opinion. He keeps his mic much farther from his face than I do and I hear less echo than the Yeti picks up. Snowball is also at a better price point than the Yeti.Idk if the Snowball has a headphone jack, but you can plug some headphones into the Yeti and test the mic noise levels in them. Windows recognizes the Yeti as both speakers and a microphone, which means you can play system sound through the Yeti and plug your headphones in through there as well. That way, you have an instant feedback loop on whether you are being too loud or not.Something I miss about my headset (I switched to this mic and some HiFi headphones for better audio quality all around) is that I could mute myself without making any mic noise. That allowed me to eat and talk at the same time without having to stay muted the entire time or go into Discord and click the software button. I could mute myself quietly, eat, and unmute myself quietly. Doesnt disturb anyone I’m in discord with at all. This is particularly useful when playing audio queue dependent games that also require communication (such as CS:GO). The Yeti makes a loud plastic-clicky noise when you mute it that WILL be picked up. So, no discreetly muting yourself. That’s a nitpicky detail for me to complain about, but that’s really the only thing that bothers me a great deal. So push to talk or just dealing with it are your only options there.The wire that comes with this mic is a bit short. It doesn’t reach when I try to feed the wire through the arm clamped on the left side of my desk, behind my monitors, and then to my PC on the right side of my desk. Be prepared to purchase a USB cable extender if you plan on playing games with this mic (especially FPS games where the arm needs to be on the left side of your desk as to not hinder mouse movements).So overall, I think this mic is a bit overhyped and a bit overpriced. But I dont really regret my purchase. I’m a bit disappointed by it, but not disappointed enough to return it or anything. Sure, with the money I paid for this, I could’ve gotten an XLR setup and upgraded the mic down the road to something that sounds really good. However, an XLR setup introduces more wires that I’d rather not deal with. The Yeti sounds good and only has one wire to deal with. All the different modes on the mic (front, back and front, sides, etc) are cool, but a casual dude like me doesnt have a use for that. I’d say an XLR setup might get you better quality but with more wires and (down the road) more money, and the Snowball seems to be priced a bit better than this, but you wont regret your purchase if youre looking for a USB mic and you get the Yeti.

I purchased the Mic Mini to help shoot quick videos for work. I shoot a lot of short videos with vocals and if it is windy or there are machines running near where I am shooting the iPhone just does not cut out enough of the background noise and the videos sound rough.It has been a month now and I can honestly say I love it. These little Mic’s make all the difference. They do a great job in noise reduction. My vocals sound crisp and clear. I did my research but the price point of this Mic Mini is what sold me. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.The carrying case is the perfect size. It is small, has pockets for all of the pieces and fits in my pocket. This makes it easy to carry around, quickly set up when I need to record a video, then break it down and put it back in my pocket and continue on. The clip works on shirts, coats and sweaters. The magnet is super strong. The battery capacity is great. I charged it when I first got it and still have not had to charge either mic yet. The Receiver connects to my phone super quick making this great for on the go.If you are trying to record crisp, quality audio on a budget this should be your go to. I cannot find anything negative to say about the Mic Mini

The Solo is a solid DAC for a one man setup, got it originally to get into high-fi audio and combo’d it with the Sienhouser HD550s and the Scarlett (alongside good gear) does give an audiophile like listening experience, listening to flac files was a great time, and using it to process video game audio made me near omniscient during gameplay. I also happened to start playing guitar and bass about 7 months ago and it’s great for plugging in instruments to an amp sim or recording, ditto goes for any xlr mics, mine is a budget dynamic mic that needs particularly high gain to be audible (the pd100 from Maono) and the Scarlett handles it no problem. I can’t properly speak to the sound quality of the L/R speaker outs since I’m using a pair of Pebble V3s in an untreated room, but I’m assuming it would be similar in quality to what I heard from my headphones. As always, the quality of your sound is going to be determined by your audio pipeline as a whole and this is only one part of that chain, though I feel this device is a particularly strong link in any one person setup.

The Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Generation USB Interface has been outstanding. The sound quality is noticeably clear, warm, and clean, and the preamps are excellent for vocals and instruments. I specifically chose this version because I’m using a RODE dynamic microphone, and I needed an interface with clean preamp gain and proper XLR support without introducing noise or requiring extra hardware. The Scarlett handles that perfectly and provides the power and clarity the Rode needs to sound its best.The setup was super simple (literally plug and play) and it connected immediately with zero complications. The build quality feels solid and professional, and the controls are intuitive and easy to dial in. Latency is virtually nonexistent, the headphone amp is strong and clean, and the gain LED indicators make it easy to monitor levels without clipping.It’s compact enough for a desk setup but still feels premium. Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen USB – I love it. I am using a long line of multiple 2i2 devices from Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3 for years. I am happy with all of them. Very good built quality, plain, low noise, low distortion. They all meet manufacturer specifications. No inflated claims like some manufacturers do. Each model had some tiny glitches that did not affect my experience. So my expectations are high on 4th Gen. A box arrived quickly. I opened it and realized a box has no protecting layer to soften shocks, blows during transportation. Just over box inside of almost identical, only slightly larger box! This experience was not a good welcome to me. I believe such packaging of any electronics reduces product reliability. Didn’t you see how sometimes drivers drop packages on concrete floor? So I almost feel like getting used product, am I too sensitive about it? Alone in my opinion such product should have some shock absorbing layer of foam material or air bubbles sheet?After opening a box I see a piece of paper printed with miniature characters. Microscope could help… But no guidance here how to get the first steps. Only warnings in very many languages. As I would need all this, very high priority to manufacturer but not to me! I think this excellent product has new functions that a purchaser is not familiar with. It would be highly beneficial if a a small hard card size like 2-3 business cards shows briefly what happens when each of new controls used. OK, I can find it in pdf user manual, but I don’t want to print user manual for one of 15 models audio interfaces I have. So I will work with audio recordings while scrolling through pdf file, at least till I am familiar with all this product offers. After such observations I wish to get to recording… And pdf file does not tell clearly up front that utility program is actually a driver. I have to spend time to learn it. This is the very first item to perform after purchase, but info is written among other content, not up front. I want to install utility program but no info provided if 2i2 Gen 4 should be connected or not, during installation. I learn here I should go to the internet, manufacturer’ webpage and get information how to proceed. A suggestion is strong – identify yourself first! So you can get audio recording software. But I don’t use the internet on sacred computers. I don’t wish to be exposed to Spyware and threats from Microsoft like this one: You paid for our Office Suite, but we make it stop at our convenience under pretense we check if you are the correct user???? So I will to install a driver only, no suspicious activities and forced “updates”, no spyware on my precious computer. How do I proceed considering above? I loaded needed file on another computer, copied it to one working with 2i2 Gen 4. It works fine that way. The utility is just sampling rate changing program combined with a driver, at least on my computer. Nothing else. A device works well, nothing wrong. I enjoy it from that moment. I don’t need extra programs for musicians.Now most enjoyable part – distortion and noise testing. Both are excellent low, exactly as shown on specifications. I really enjoy low noise that is closer now to that of higher grade Clarett+ noise. Regarding distortion, Clarett+ has specs about 0.0003% while Scarlett 2i2 spec is around 0.001% for all generations 1, 2, 3, 4. Truly excellent product here, amazing performance for $200 and this product is far ahead of other USB audio interfaces I used before. Important to me is the fact it can work with no AC/DC power adapter. Through my career I experienced scenarios that noise reading was lowest if USB audio device was powered through USB cable. Then noise reading was even slightly better if power supply disconnected from laptop. The noise reading was consistently worse if given USB audio interface AND laptop used both AC/DC adapters. The difference could be a few dB but sometimes noise spikes were 10dB and more above noise floor, depending how clean was power line, individual wall outlets. I will check later 2i2 Gen 4 on that noise immunity and will update my review.In terms of reliability, all earlier Scarlett 2i2 I used full time worked a minimum of 5 years. If something wrong happened, it would be in the “abuse” category like frequent plugging, unplugging in, out cables with ESD damage maybe. Or connecting to multiple other devices powered with AC/DC adapters and no isolating transformers between. I am a laboratory user, not a musician, so different considerations, scenarios. Scarlett 2i2 Gen 4 is a great tool now for my audio experiments, audio test fixtures, audio signal measuring / analyzing setups.5 stars, but no 5+ due to less perfect packaging with less perfect protection against abuse in transit.
